Ours is one of Toronto's most beautiful patios and is your city escape... without leaving the city. Our secluded patio is one of a kind in Toronto; located away from traffic, canopied by beautiful trees, and with a whispering fountain. It is your ideal, tranquil lunch or dinner spot just minutes from the financial and entertainment districts.
Choose from our unique and extensive wine list. Impress your guests by hosting a special dinner for up to 18 guests, in our wine cellar; all of this, in the romantic and historic setting of the St. Lawrence Town Hall.
Although their food was perfection, the service was hands down the most horrific experience of my life (and I have 10 years experience serving in my late teens and early 20s....I've seen it all). He was so frustrated and flustered (I'm assuming with the whole 6 table section he had) that he literally rushed us to order, refusing to take only our drink and appetizer order saying we had to order every thing all at once that he's too busy to do it any other way and rushed off telling us to get everything ready for him. When his fellow server came over to help (we had been there about 25 minutes and hadn't ordered yet) our guy came rushing over and literally "shoed him away" telling us how irritated he was that he kept trying to "take his tables". He then continued to roll his eyes at me when I asked to add mushrooms to my dish. "Oh you want a special order like this other table? Their food came out so late because he wanted to change everything and now you do". Excuse me? It took the owner over hearing this and told him to do it.
Once we ordered he didn't care about us any more. No drink refills, no check up on food, no dessert offers, he didn't even care to come around and ask if we wanted the bill after our dishes sat at the end of the table for a good 20 minutes. In fact, when I stopped him to ask for a dessert menu he rushed right by saying yes and never came back. Another 15 minutes goes by and we had to ask someone for our bill. It took 3 people to flag him down to get our bill.
I did not feel welcomed at all or appreciated as a guest. This is a finer restaurant and all the ones I've been to their service matches how amazing the food usually is. This guy has to be related to the owners, not sure how he still has his job. I know there was another table in our section who had a big issue with him too.
Great authentic Italian experience. The service was impeccable and the food very tasty.
Beautiful historical building of Toronto City Hall of 1850. Probably one of the best Italian restaurants in Toronto. Well worth the money for quality of Cooking, Ambiance and Service.
Highly recommend .
Great Italian food, fantastic wine and great service. We had an enjoyable evening
First visit to Biagio on King St. and my first impression is very good. Food and service were excellent and wine selection is outstanding (was even given a tour of the basement wine cellar). Only challenge they may be facing is there were no people in the restaurant on a Friday night @ 6:30pm (and even when we left there were only another party of 3). Generally good spots are packed so we either found a gem (and won't tell anyone) or people need to get there. Great spot for a special dinner as the service was outstanding! Would higher recommend this place for an elegant, quiet but comfortable dinner experience. Will be back (even if by ourselves!).
We arrived on time. The reservation was confirmed. The restaurant was closed. Someone should have let us know.
Christmas Eve !!!!!!!!!!!
Great experience will definitely return.
Fine Dining with a confident and competent staff
'Delicious' ambience, with food to match
The restaurant is nice enough. But, it is definitely old-school. The food was good, but nothing special. This may have been a great place 20 years ago but it could use some sprucing up. I don't mean this to be a bad review. It was OK. It just didn't make you feel, 'Wow!'
Excellent food and great service. Typical Italian.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
We had booked hoping for the fabulous patio, but it was raining, unfortunately.
Our waiter was wonderful... pleasantly making suggestions when required, but never intrusive.
The food was pretty good, but not greatly memorable
Perfect escape in the city for a calm, peaceful, and delicious dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Very reasonable prices for the quality of the food and service. White linen tablecloths and friendly waitstaff. We’d pick this over a loud and trendy chain anytime!! Thanks Biagio!!
EXCELLENT FOOD! EXCELLENT SERVICE! EXCELLENT AMBIANCE! This was some of the best Italian I've had in a long, long time. Biagio's is a gem and when I'm back in Toronto, I'll see you again!!!
Tony was a great waiter; selected our first and second which were delicious; great addition to the restaurant.
One of my favorites that we dined at during our stay in T.O.
Food and setting were great, but the service was very slow. The restaurant was not busy so I can only imagine the issue began in the kitchen or perhaps it was our somewhat distracted and disengaged waiter.
Great location, food was OK, and the service was OK. The building is beautiful, but the lights were surprisingly bright for a valentines dinner.
The service and food was exceptional!
Went there for a romantic New Years Eve dinner, we were visiting Toronto from out of the country and wanted to find something cozy and tasty for NYE and this place fit the bill. When we arrived, we were greeted by the owner. We had their 6 course meal that was put together by the chef specifically for that day. It was a grand tour of flavor and carefully arranged ingredients. The food was authentic, and every plate was unique and tasty in its own special way. Every bite was savored and we left very happy and content. The waiter was able to get my girlfriend's favorite sparkling wine and constantly checked on us and filled our glasses without interrupting. At the end he gave us a brief history of Italian heritage in Toronto and where he grew up. The room was filled with Italian speaking folks, and the atmosphere felt very warm and inviting. If we were to see ourselves in Toronto for another New Year's Eve, I will strongly consider coming here again. The restaurant might be only 2 years old, but they are doing a lot of things right.
We made a reservation for December 24 at 7pm. We were confirmed. I received a text message from the restaurant days later asking me to confirm my reservation. I did so by pressing “1” to confirm. We arrived several minutes before the reservation to find that the restaurant was actually closed. Why would I be asked to confirm a reservation for a restaurant that wasn’t going to be open on the date? Thankfully, we were able to find another place to go. Not much was open Christmas Eve, and the restaurant we found was subpar. Either Biagio or open table dropped the ball on this. I’m sure each will blame the other. But, Biagio falsely presented itself to customers.
Always a great evening of fine dining! And I have been going for 25 years! Biaggio and his staff are outstanding!
All was excellent except soup was cold. Not lukewarm - cold. I did not say anything though as service was simply excellent as was the rest of the meal!
Enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and lack of pounding music—we were able to hear each other speak!
Excellent restaurant with great photos of Old Toronto on the walls. Quiet and pleasant atmosphere with view of King Street.
Food is classical Italian and service very traditional. Truly a European old world comfortable feeling.
A lovely experience. The food was excellent. The service was charming. Thank you!
Excellent food and ambiance. The fresh ingredients and simple cooking style come through. Next time, we will leave more time for a proper meal with coffee and dessert.
What a usual visit- great special of the day! Biaggio and Robert and then Tony nobody beats this kind of service. Never disappointed in over thirty years of meals and events. Oh and did I mention the wine list- spectacular
Biagio is the best. Food , service and ambiance is always delicious, warm and welcoming❤️❤️
Biagio was super! I picked the restaurant based on great reviews on open table and trip advisor. Excellent wine selection. Menu is very nice with a broad selection of pasta, meat and fish dishes. My wife and I both had pasta dishes for our main courses. Both were very tasty and prepared with fresh ingredients. Service was great our waiter new his stuff and was a character. Would highly recommend Biagio for great Italian food and hospitality.
We had a great time. The food is carefully prepared Italian, classy place, top service.
No one bothered to take our drink order until halfway through the meal. The service was very distracted. Too bad, because it is a good restaurant.
Good food and service, definitely an interesting (in the positive sense) menu. Ambience a bit harsh.
Overall just ok. Worth a try and the patio is beautiful, but nothing exceptional.
Great food, terrific service and wonderful quiet ambiance. Highly recommended!
Excellent meal and service. I had lobster pasta with generous pieces of lobster. It was delicious and filling. Husband loved his lamb dinner and we shared a fabulous panna cotta for dessert. We enjoyed the ambiance and pace of service.
Great service. Food was very good although my bf ordered a shrimp dish and it came with only two jumbo shrimp for like $40. If I didn’t share my pasta with him he would have been hungry. Also the main dishes took a VERY long time to come out. All in all the food was delicious and the service was great.
Outstanding food and service! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Great food. Wait staff awesome...attentive without hovering. Quiet evening but we dined early. Will def recommend
