About BG - Bergdorf Goodman
Sophistication on the Seventh Floor of Bergdorf Goodman with afternoon into evening Central Park views. BG is a modern interpretation of the aristocratic social salon. Like a Park Avenue residence from the age of cosmopolitan glamour. Well-appointed and bright, the drawing room atmosphere is an intimate conversational setting for lunch, tea and early supper or cocktails. The light and sparkling menu is a modern take on classic New York fare.

BG - Bergdorf Goodman Ratings and Reviews
We had a rez and we were running late but I called the restaurant to let them know we would be late. They said it was not a problem and we got there within 10 minutes but when we arrived the hostess didn’t know I called and she gave our table away. We waited patiently for the next available table. They were able to seat us pretty quickly and we sat down and had a great lunch.
Our dinner Saturday evening 12/2/17 was fabulous. Our waiter was outstanding. We had Filet of beef with asparagus and whipped potatoes. The view was amazing. We made our journey up to the 7th floor using the escalators rather than the elevator just so we could "sample" each floor of Bergdorf Goodman and it was well worth it.
To lunch at Bergdorf Goodman is to be one with NYC!
The atmosphere is beautiful with professional and courteous
wait staff. An incredible place to enjoy spirits and dine with
great friends and enjoy the city. The only negative which is
hard to control from the Management team is the noise level of
American(s) and I am an American. People tend to shout versus
speak quietly at your table. The noise at times is loud.
It's the best NYC old school department store style upper crust restaurant and has been so for decades. Adam the server, Victor the manager, etc are all super incredible people and every time we come to NYC we make it a 'MUST' lunch event several times.
Best views, great food, treated like old friends.
What more could you want?
Upon arrival the host made an effort to accommodate us as we requested, to be seated near the window which was wonderful. The brut rose we ordered was delicious, and we fully enjoyed our meal which was in perfect portions. I usually come for lunch and afternoon tea with friends, so it was a nice treat to take my family here for dinner.
BG never disappoints! Haven't been there in a while....but just as wonderful as I remember. Got seated right away with my 1:15 reservation. Service was fabulous (as usual). Absolutely recommend having lunch at BG and have the yummy Gotham Salad... my absolute favorite!
Only complaint was the 45 minute wait to be seated for a 1pm reservation....yes, we wanted a window table, but even those who were willing to take any table were waiting much too long past their reservation time. It was a chaotic system. One party sat at their table for 25 minutes AFTER they paid their bill chatting and checking their phones. The waiter should have checked on them once in awhile to give them the idea that others were waiting. It is a place where people linger so the reservation timing should reflect that. Too many reservation too close together. Otherwise a lovely spot with nice food selection and atmosphere. Definitely a place for "ladies who lunch" and men who don't mind being outnumbered.
