   Amazing staff. They make the experience perfect. The sandwiches are well done and FRESH. The scone is very good along with clotted cream and jams. The sweets level was NOT overly sweet and came with enough for 2 The tea selections were not overwhelming and easy to make a decision. Service10+. Food 9. Ambiance 10+. Overall 9.5. Would definitely go again.

   Beautiful, New York experience. Love BG for the view of Central Park - be sure to request a window or you may end up sandwiched between other guests, against a wall with no view. It was a very busy Saturday and our service was a bit slow, the afternoon tea was lovely and the sandwiches and scones were delightful.

   We try to visit NYC from out of state 1-2 times yearly. EVERY time we make it a point to have lunch at BG Cafe. It is "our special place". The food and service are always excellent as are the drinks. We love the setting and it is great for people watching. We feel we this is a secret gem but one that the the "people in the know" know about. We recommend it to anyone we know visiting NYC.

   I struggle with an eating disorder and I never feel like they are rushing, considering I eat very slow to not trigger a reaction! Tight space, but I love the ambiance! Food just needs to be a little more seasoned! It’s my guilty pleasure with friends, once a month!

   Took a while to find it, no signs to locate it on 7th floor. We arrived early but had no problem being seated and our luggage was safely stored. Service was prompt and friendly, we felt welcome even though we felt significantly poorer than their average clientele! The table we were on was very close to others and the noise of chatter and service was constant. Afternoon Tea was lovely, the earl grey was delicious and there was a lovely selection of very filling nibbles. We took the macarons and desserts in a box to go and enjoyed later. Do come here for Afternoon Tea with friendly service. Don’t come here if you want to relax or overlook the park.

   This used to be one of my favorite lunch spots. Today the entrees were served within 5 minutes of ordering and were not hot. We were never offered the bread. The dessert was OK. Hopefully this was just a bad day. I will try again and hope for the best!

    Loved our lunch at the bar w bartender Ariel taking great care of us! The Croque Madame was yum!
