Service seemed rushed, which surprised me. Everything else was divine, as always.
The service was great, I believe our server was Jeffrey-fabulous. The group behind us was so loud we couldn't hear each other talking at a small table. Other than that, it was great.
I was really bummed about our experience this time. We have dined here on many occasions but it’s been about a year. The service was TERRIBLE, we sat for 10 minutes without a drop of water. The waitress wasn’t interested in refreshing any drinks after the first round....it seemed many of the staff were busy arguing. The manager seemed to pass by our table many times and didn’t offer more drinks, he seemed very distracted. The noise level is crazy loud..couldn’t hear across the table. Not sure I’ll be back and that makes me sad.
Always delicious and delightful!
Mother daughter day
BG is the place I go to when I am a feeling blue and want to be comforted by old world elegance and the most beautiful views of the most beautiful area in NYC... the park and the plaza.
The food is pricey but you can also just sit at the bar and have a drink and stare out the window
Lovely, and I consider it my special place to make me feel special!
BG is always fantastic! The wines are lovely. I do prefer the previous chicken with the au jus, but the new preparation is good, too. My friends enjoyed the chicken salad and. Asian salad.
Always enjoyable lunch or dinner
A mother-daughter and granddaughter luncheon. Everything was perfectly prepared and the atmosphere is just beyond lovely.
Please add some gluten-free items to your menu. Thank you!
The service was top notch. The Damon Freres tea Blue Garden is my favorite so I was happy they had it. The food was really just ok and not worth the price. The view of the park was nice but ambiance was, again, just ok. Felt a bit dated. There are better afternoon teas at other hotels and tea rooms out there that are more worth your time and money.
BG restaurant is one of my favorites in NYC. The decor is gorgeous and the Central Park views are stunning. The scallops are my favorite! Ask to be placed in Corrina's or Adam's section. They are top notch servers!
Salad delish, but realized after I ate it that there two options for dressing on the menu, but the waiter didn’t ask. It was still good, but would have rathered the other.
Food was super quick. But no one notices our empty water glasses for quite a while and we had to call someone over to refill.
Love the chocolate mint that comes with the check.
There are lots of afternoon teas available in New York. This one comes in at a very affordable price ($45/person; more if you order the champaign addition) relative to the others, for a great space, great service, and good selection of finger foods to go with the scones and tea. You can request to be seated at the window, overlooking Central Park.
My only complaint was that there were free tables by the windows but we were told that the tables were assigned, no reserved, but pre-assigned. When I made the reservation there was no question about preference of table location. We ended up with a table for two in a line of small tables. The waiter was excellent, food great, but the smushed table location prevented us from lingering. Next time I will call the restaurant directly to get the location I want.
Quintessential NYC brunch spot. Very Upper East Side crowd. Interesting menu. Food is great. Wine list is adequate.
Extremely disappointed. The food was tasteless and poorly presented. Do not waste time or money with so many fine options within blocks.
We had booked afternoon tea ahead of leaving the UK for a holiday treat.
We weren't disappointed. Our waitress was lovely and the afternoon tea beautiful. We ate everything! Which is unusual for me.
I would definitely eat here again.
Thank you for a lovely experience.
Not sure if I would recommend. We were celebrating a 21st birthday. I told the waiter but there was no mention of it. Our food was cold. They did remove 2 entrees off the bill which was really nice. Of all the choices in NYC, I would not go back. Not worth the price.
It’s always fabulous. They are very accommodating and gracious. The service is great. It gets a little noisy however. Overall, I love it and of course you can go shopping before or afterwards.
Having lunch at the Bergdorf Goodman Restaurant was an interesting experience. The food was delicious. For the main course, the seabass was outstanding in flavor and texture; I highly recommend it. The waitstaff is efficient in their service. Unfortunately, the day I had lunch there, the dining room was crowded and extremely noisy which made it difficult to hear what my dining partner was saying. However, a redeeming factor for this luncheon experience was wandering through the boutique shops also on the 7th floor to see unique, often one of a kind art objects suitable for spectacular gifts.
The service was impeccable. Everyone was very well dressed in blazers. We unfortunately did not get the memo but weren’t treated any differently because of it. The food was all very good as well. If you want to see the stunning view of the park, you may have to hover over some people while they eat unless you’re lucky enough to get a window seat.
Bergdorf is the always the best! There tea transports me back to London, which is my highlight living in NYC.
This was my first time here and a long time coming. BG DID NOT disappoint whatsoever!!! Our server was absolutely delightful... my next visit can’t come soon enough!
We attended BG for afternoon tea and it was everything I hoped it would be!! Located right next to the iconic Plaza Hotel, I felt you got the view of Central Park and the excellent tea & food service for a fraction of the price. None of the high back whisper chairs were available, but we were seated at a perfect spot next to a window with a view of Central Park. Our waitress was as sweet as can be, and theres just something about walking through BG on your way to the restaurant and then the ambiance of the restaurant that makes the whole experience feel so fancy and leisurely. I loved it and it was the perfect addition to our girls weekend in NYC. HIGHLY recommend!
quality with great service the only exception is this annoying survey requiring 50 characters
Wonderful shopping experience and dinner with my daughter!
Greattttt service, loveeee the ambience with the view of central park. Waiter was very attentive and friendly with great sense of humor. Loveee the high tea experience, would definitely return!!!
Beautiful setting and decor with amazing view. The afternoon tea included a delicious menu with a nice selection of teas. Service was impeccable. We had a lovely time!
A must for any fashionable Nee Yorker!!!
While we loved everything we ate, snd the service was wonderful, the portions were so small.
The scones were delicious, but about the size of a small cupcake, the sandwiches were delicious- especially the truffle chicken salad, but we got the equivalent of one small sandwich per person, 4 teeny desserts and tea. This should have included a cup of soup - or even a menu option to purchase a cup of soup or salad. I guess it’s just the NY prices. Glad we went, but left hungry!
A very nice treat of indulgence. The service was amazing and fun. Always make it here for brunch when in NYC.
Lovely, luxe location for afternoon tea. Delicious finger sandwiches, scones & sweets. Great selection of teas. Would definitely go again.
Excellent food and service! I highly recommend for lunch or early dinner. The ambiance is great, not too loud but very enjoyable.
Waitress was overwhelming
Was dining with a friend whom I hadn’t seen in ages but waitress wouldn’t leave us alone!!! There’s a limit! I felt she was rushing us or trying to hard. Finally I said “please give us a minute” no one goes there and orders food the minute they sit down
A special place to celebrate with afternoon tea! We were fortunate to get a table with a view of the park, which made the experience that much better! Would recommend
Oh the service is wonderful. The ambience brings you back to the retro era. The food I ordered the soup oh la la. The lobster bisque! Then I ordered the lobster pasta dish, so much I could not finish! If you want to experience a bit of old New York City, and the view, the windows are small, but the service makes up for the rest...Go..
Service was excellent - love the feel of the place - we had a great window view. Food always great and the desserts are to die for !!
We had afternoon tea and the food was really good but the tea I chose was outstanding. I had the Jardin Bleu blend and I loved it. The wait service was friendly and helpful and the restaurant is lovely. We didn’t get seated by the windows which would have made it absolutely perfect but otherwise I have no complaints.
Excellent spread, selection of teas, ambience, setting, views etc. Will be overpriced as expected, but worth the experience!
