I would not recommend this restaurant at all. It was the worst experience in dining I have ever had. The service was horrible. I waited 1 hour just to get some water after asking several time.
The restaurant was not prepared at all for the special night of New Years Eve. The restaurant was completely booked out and only two waiter available to serve. My waitress had no clue to the food on the menu when a question was asked. When the food was served, it was cold. Told the manager and her response was but the plate is hot. Really.
The recent change in menu (chef) has made this restaurant into one well worth the price. I had the gnocchi with duck confit and found it excellent. Also the bolognese was very good. In fact the pasta is clearly house made and properly al dente cooked. Try the ravioli, it's excellent. Our waiter was well informed and helpful about each dish. My only complaint is that they shouldn't pick up the plates before all have finished.
The food was delicious - everything from the appetizers to dessert! And the service was fantastic. A really fun evening.
I love this neighborhood spot. We went for a friends birthday knowing two friends would join us very late if it all. They were accommodating if that and the food was great. Our server was extremely attentive at first but a little less so once the place got a little busier closer to 830. The food was great the cocktails too. I would have ordered one but didn't get a chance until I was already almost finished eating. 4 people shared a vegetable, pasta, salad and a pizza.
We went for dinner before an evening engagement. We made it known that we were going to be in a hurry. It took a while for the waiter to show up and we were not given any feedback about the status of the kitchen and "the backup." We ended up needing to leave before our meal arrived because we simply couldn't be late. Disappointing.
Bevacco sind in our neighborhood. We had to wait some time for the waiter, but then got an excellent explanation about the food available. The shrimps were very good and also the Pizza's. The wine and beer is on the expensive side. Overall a good experience and we will come back.
Excellent food and wine- very good service
Delicious food in a great setting. I have been here on many occasions and keep coming back. The menu changed after the reconfiguration of the space and would love to see the pasta with garlic back. That was a stand out favorite.
As always nice food, well prepared served by a pleasant and accommodating staff. We've been here as a family many, many times and we've never had any issue that wasn't immediately and cheerfully rectified. Thanks!
Great neighborhood spot. Awesome pasta, awesome chicken. Music choice and ambiance was a little strange. Feels like they are trying to be a bar sometimes and a restaurant others. Hope they realize that they could be a great neighborhood restaurant.
Good food but terrible service. Quiet and nice for a group. However this is my second time and the service has been really bad both times.
Brought my baby and he was treated well. It's loud enough in there that he didn't disturb anybody.
We were eating vegan, so the choices were somewhat limited. We found a salad and pizza that worked. The "normal" food all looked good. The place is way cool. The staff is polite and diligent. The martinis could be a little colder and bigger (we were served in these tiny curvy martini glasses). All in all, I like it. If I moved to Brooklyn Heights, it would be my go to spot.
Great food, service was wonderful, ambiance and lightning was perfect.
We had a fantastic late dinner with a set menu. Great appetizer, pasta, steak, and dessert. Then walked 5 min to see fireworks on Brooklyn promenade. Staff was friendly and bilingual.
Yummy selection of Italian food. Be sure to listen to the specials. I could have done one, two, three, four, or five courses and been very happy with all the choices.
I have so many good things to say about Bevacco. So warm and friendly the managers both day and evening are just a delight as is the wait staff. So many dishes that were the best I have ever had. Do not miss if your in the area!
Bevacco was tasty. The environment was simple and when we arrived we were the only ones there. A few more entered as we dined, but surprisingly few for as tastyas the food was. The service was great and accommodating to the three children in our party, eventhough our waiter assured that Bevacco was not "child-friendly." Our server even helped cut the Kid's pancakes.
What a wonderful restaurant. Wonderful fresh pastas, great starters and a very good wine list. Our favorites are the bucatini with olive oil and garlic as well as the potato-crusted orata (white fish). It feels like being in Rome. A welcoming and convivial atmosphere. Don't miss this as it really stands out in Brooklyn Heights!
Overall good. 3 of 4 of us ordered the roast duck breast which came in two large pieces. None were hot enough and some overdone, some underdone,(on the same plate) even though we were queried on the amount of doneness each of us wanted. Spotty service; long wait for bread and food even though only four other tables were occupied.
Food is excellent, fresh and inventive. need to boost service.
This is a very fine restaurant that offers an accessible menu and terrific food. The service was a little off - a bit of a wait between appetizers and entrees; our waiter seemed very busy. Nothing serious, however. Prices are not unreasonable for the area. It may not be your every day Italian but certainly fine for a special occasion. Lovely design and lighting. Pastas were excellent. Raviolis were outstanding. Duck and chicken entrees delicious. Recommended.
Fantastic Italian in Brooklyn Heights. I've eaten here at least 5 times in the past two months with friends and each time the food has just been top notch for all diners. Very authentic Italian, pastas and fish are excellent. Great atmosphere and excellent choice of wines. Service is very personal and friendly; knowledgeable staff.
The service seems to have declined since Bevacco opened. There are not enought
Waiters to addend to the tables and our food took forever. This is a big change from a few months ago, when everything was top notch. We want Bevacco to survive, but the service now is abysmal.
What a welcome addition to Brooklyn Heights!
Food was disappointing and service was terrible
The food and service were very good, but there was no one in the restaurant and it was a bit expensive.
The food was just okay. Things were underseasoned, for the most part. The mozzarella appetizer was delicious, but the eggplant appetizer bland, and the Bevacco salad unremarkable. Our entrees were fine, but nothing to write home about. All in all, I wouldn't make a big effort to return.
Relatively new addition to the area.. Attractive small bistro look. Food was quite good. Pasta dishes were excellent .
Delightful addition to the neighborhood. It has become one of our favorite restaurants in the Brooklyn Heights-DUMBO area. Classy Old World decor fits well with contemporary Italian cuisine. Wonderful service to boor.
