A beautiful private dining space is available to seat up to 40 people. Please call to inquire.
Grass-fed beef, humanely raised (and tasty) chicken, fresh seafood, pasta, risotto, polenta complimented by unique ingredients such as foraged wild mushrooms, truffles and sea beans (wild asparagus). The menu is complemented by a thorough wine selection and a full bar.
Dinner is served nightly from 5 PM - close, and lunch Monday through Friday from 11 AM - 3 PM.
The Table is a popular neighborhood spot blessed with a loyal cadre of regular customers. This results in a large portion of diners walking in. For this reason a number of tables are held out to accommodate walk-ins.
Great atmosphere. In the woods on a hill overlooking the river in a log cabin. Plenty of room around us. Food was excellent and received great. Service was helpful and there when we needed them.
An absolutely wonderful meal. Our waitress was very helpful and we had an awesome evening.
We love this restaurant and chose it as the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted with complimentary champagne! Our server was very helpful in describing the preparations of the two dishes my husband was considering...he made a good choice based on her information. His delicious pork chop was cooked to perfection. My spicy prawns and polenta was also an excellent choice - tasty and just spicy enough. It was a generous portion that provided me with lunch the next day. The accompanying bread was a wonderful complement to the entrees. We didn’t really need dessert but couldn’t resist trying the butterscotch pudding. It was decorated with a candle to add to our celebration. A lovely evening!
This was our first dining experience here and our waitress was very good at explaining the menu and how it changes seasonally. We ordered the Caesar salad, short rib pasta and chicken Marsala. The food was very good and large servings. My chicken was over cooked and dry and difficult to cut, but the potatoes and veggies were good. The bread was crusty and very good. I asked for a glass of ice and never received it. We enjoyed the selection of menu items available and feel most people could find something they liked. Wish I had tried the shrimp and polenta dish as it looked wonderful on the next table. The restaurant is located in a busy shopping/dinning area, but there is free parking available.
My favorite place to eat. Interesting flavors and unusual special dishes.
Always delicious and delightful. We are lucky to have Bethany’s Table in our neighborhood!
Great service. Great food and such a cozy atmosphere. Not all food is made equal thought...the clams and the Ahi Tuna were excellent. The Caesar salad and the pork chop were good. We went there late a Friday evening and had a really nice time.
It’s a place that seems spotty for predictable food
We go there as a group from time to time but several in the group requested we find a new place
First time at Bethany’s Table for my birthday dinner with my kids. We all thought it was fabulous and will definitely be back! Thank you!
The food here is very good, service is also quite nice. I would recommend Bethany's Table.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant! The service is personal and not overbearing. Drinks are well mixed and fun. Enjoyed all the food and appreciate that the menu changes and updates regularly to keep things interesting. We keep coming back over and over again. The homemade ice cream and sorbet is well worth the calories. Get the sampler. We will be back again!
Absolutely a wonderful experience from the food to the service!
Bethany’s Table is the restaurant I bring visiting friends to because I know the food is always good. I don’t go often myself because my budget doesn’t allow, but it’s always my first choice for ‘occasions.’ Sunday 4/28 my friend from Cali remembered her first meal here during a previous visit and asked if we could repeat the experience. We started with a cocktail for her which was definitely full measure; quite strong. Then we shared baked brie with honey, walnuts and almonds. Yum. She had the seared ahi and I had the beef tenderloin special. The ahi was perfect according to my friend. The beef tenderloin, although cooked medium exactly as requested, was not as tender as I expected. I don’t often eat beef and although pleasant —the reduction was perfect— I wished I’d ordered the pork. This is the first time I’ve not been ecstatic about my meal, but my friend was definitely well satisfied with hers. Still my go to place whenever the budget allows!
Disappointing first time experience. The noise level prevented my husband and I from carrying on a conversation without shouting at each other. I don’t know if the acoustics are bad throughout the restaurant, but the room we were in made us wish we knew sign language. Our meals were mediocre at best. I ordered the daily special Market Fresh salad. It was anything but fresh. At least half the greens were bruised and wilted, and the huckleberry dressing was tasteless. Our entrees arrived barely hot and tasted uninspired. The dry roasted vegetables were sparse, neither of us could chew the broccolini. The wine list is varied, not too badly priced. We decided not to try a dessert - stopped on our way home for Tillamook ice cream. After reading so many rave reviews, we were looking forward to trying Bethany’s Table. Sorry, we’re not raving.
Great place. Extremely busy when we were there, but they still got to us timely. Food was wonderful and service very good. We will be back.
We had a great time. Our server that night was awesome and the food was great.
Delicious dinner, delightful evening, plan to visit again.
Six people for a Birthday Celebration:
We had the best meal we ever had at your restaurant. Really and we have been there several/numerous times over the past 10 years. Everyone had something different and they not just liked their respective meals but really enjoyed them. I wish I knew who was cooking as I would come back again this weekend to enjoy another fine meal!!!! Hats off to the chef.
We have been to Bethany’s Table before but this last meal was the absolute best. I had a special filet mignon piece which was superb. My wife had the special halibut. With a ‘15 J. Christopher Pinot it all came together wonderfully. I asked where they get their bread as it was so good. Answer: they bake it themselves.
Definitely going back.
Excellent as always!
Is was a busy Sunday & everything took longer than usual. We had a very nice meal but have had better at this, our favotlrite restaurant.
Both food and service were great. I would recommend and for sure go back.
Once again NBethanyTable didn’t disappoint!!! The last day of March dining month and the Chicken Marsala leas superb! Not to mention the ever popular manhattan which is” crafted” just right!
This is the best place to eat on the west side of Portland Oregon. Food is fresh and delcious. And, very inventive too........Great selection, nice attractive venue. The wait staff is professional and so nice! We eat there alot, never even think about going anywhere else. Highly recommend it and everyone we've sent there loves it as much as we do.
I’ve been to Bethany Table many times with my family and the food gets better at every visit. Always recommend ordering the specials.
Amazing as always!
We didn't eat at all there , so the score for the food is no reflection on the food , i just couldn't put N/A . Aside from that , I we over stayed our stay and the owners didn't complain or peep a word and gave us another round to sample . Very nice people and staff here with a reasonable size wine list. We didn't find what we anted to drink but the alternative was excellent. Do come here and defn make a reservation as they do get busy.
Great spot for wine and dine or date night !
Thanks again to the wonderful staff @ Bethany's
Caeser salad was no better than one I could pick up at Safeway. Hostess/Waitress let us know we were 6 minutes late for our reservations and got no friendlier. I would go to the nearby Brooklyn Tattoria or Thai Street Food restaurants instead of this one.
We had such a good time. Everything was as good as one could wish for. Salads were top quality, service too. Can’t wait to come back.
Second time in and we will be back! Great neighborhood bistro feel. Good wine list but most wine isn't chilled- asked for our red to be chilled on ice for a few minutes to bring it a little below room temperature and they happily obliged. Had a glass of sparkling wine while we waited. Only complaint was that they brought our chilled bottle to us before we had finished our sparkling wine. Food was again excellent.
It's great to have a restaurant of this quality in our west-side neighborhood. We came during Portland Dining Month, and three out of four of our party ordered from that menu. The main courses (chicken marsala, bravas fish) were very good and the desert was excellent.
Very good food. The Butterscotch pudding is AMAZING!
Love Bethany's Table, and Kari is always a joy! Great ambiance, great food. We will return, as often as we can!
It is our neighborhood gem and St Pat’s day is always especially fun. Very relaxed with a wandering tenor and wildly dressed owners and wait staff. Shepherds pie and corned beef very tasty. We have made it our spot on The Day. You can order takeout even
Great service. Good food. Nice location. Would go back anytime
We were celebrating our 54 wedding anniversary and a daughter-in-law’s birthday and it was a lovely evening. The food is always good, the service excellent. The wine selection is very good and we think the value is one of the best in town.
Great place to met friends for lunch
Nice ambiance with delicious food. Wait staff was in no rush and by 8:30 most of the restaurant had cleared out. Amazing flourless chocolate cake!
A little slow on the service
