Our farmers define our menu. The local Appalachian produce changes with the season and so does our menu. The menu will change week to week or day to day depending on climate and seasonal growth length. From ramps and morels to soft shell crab and local beef, we strive to provide the absolute freshest in ingredients.

Our meals were excellent. My wife was pleased that her tenderloin was cooked exactly as requested, which she has found to be not the case at other restaurants. My halibut was very good. Our waiter was attentive and professional without being stuffy.

We are a farm to table fine dining restaurant in an elegant setting with fabulous views of the surrounding mountains. The 4-course price fixed dinner menu ($95.00 per person, tax and gratuity not included) and 3 course brunch menu ($45.00 per person, tax and gratuity not included ) that changes monthly and focuses on regional seasonal ingredients many of which come from our organic garden. Aaron Edwards is extraordinarily gifted in the culinary arts. Each item on every plate is uniquely prepared in an innovative way to deliver maximum sensual pleasure in both taste and appearance. With our friendly professional servers, incredibly beautiful setting and amazing food this is way more than fine dining. It's a true dining experience! Appalachia Restaurant brings an upscale-casual experience to an intimate setting. With stunning views and a cuisine that offers an Appalachian flair, you will be immersed with the true spirit of Lake Lure.
Dinner at the restaurant begins at 4:30pm.
We bring the Appalachian heritage from the outdoors in while dining in front of the stunning 525 million year old mountains. Inside, outside, or bar room dining, you will have a gorgeous view of Lake Lure and the Appalachian mountains. Boats Slips are first come, first serve. Due to the small volume of tables, we cannot accept preferred table/view requests.
Dress Code: No swimwear or coverups, must have shoes.

Innovative and progressive thinking in a farm to table approach, only working with the highest quality ingredients. This warm environment offers the best food and wine with excellent service. The only available menu is a pre-fix style, with 5-6 choices per course, $105/ guest plus a service fee. We do not offer a kids menu however kids prepared to order off our pre-fix menu are welcome. Fabulous food served in an ambiance rich environment high in the mountains of western NC. Curated menu delivers on every course. We had the lobster carpaccio, wagyu tartare and quail for starters. All fabulous, but my wife said the lobster was the best. A Caesar salad, summer tomato salad and special salad of the night followed. They were all delicious, with the fresh tomatoes being the star in two of the salads. They are sourced locally. The mains followed: pan seared duck (exquisite), swordfish (melt in your mouth) and lamb chop (very tender and tasty). Dessert was best left unspoken: you have to experience it yourself. You won’t be disappointed!
