Focusing predominately on fresh local seafood with a French, Lowcountry flare, Charlie’s is the place for good food, good wine and unforgettable memories all enjoyed in a quaint French country atmosphere.

A Savannah native, Charlie Golson’s interest in the French language and culture took him to Paris. After a long stint in the fast paced hotel kitchens of Washington DC, he was ready to move back closer to home. It was at that time he was able to open up a one room French bistro. The restaurant has grown over the years, but the ‘Green Star’ remains steadfast in offering the finest ingredients the Low country has to offer with a menu that is hand written daily. Resort Casual.

Located in Charleston’s historic French Quarter a few blocks away from Rainbow Row, Charleston City Market, and Waterfront Park, The Establishment features an award-winning wine cellar, over 150 bourbon and whiskey offerings, and a lively bar scene complete with daily happy hour. We feature Live Music every Friday and Saturday starting at 8:00 PM, featuring multiple local artists performing an array of musical genres. Travis and Ryan Croxton debut their spinoff from the highly acclaimed Rappahannock Oyster Bar at Union Market in Washington, DC. They’ve even brought their DC Chef, Kevin Kelly, to man the kitchen at this outpost. This location in the historic Cigar Factory Building on East Bay Street, allows room for Chef Kelly to showcase more of his cuisine to a larger audience, including an incredibly unique 40 seat raw bar. Oysters grown by the Croxton’s own Rappahannock Oyster Company are accentuated, but Kelly’s signature dishes like lambs’n’clams, crabcakes, shrimp & grits and the best po’ boy you’ll ever eat are enough reasons in their own right for constant visits. Coupled with a great cocktail program and focus on local ingredients, ROB is a great place for any occasion.

About the restaurant

The original Hot and Hot Fish Club was founded in the late 1700’s by the planters of All Saints Parish. The social club was dedicated to epicurean pursuits; gourmet food, strong drinks and festive times. The first club was said to be on Drunken Jack Island, located just a few miles south from here. Members of the original club described their past time spent on the island as the “happiest hours of their lives.” The Club was dismantled and finally laid to rest after the Civil War. An ever shifting sand bar off the coast of Huntington Beach State Park is all that remains of the original site. The Hot Fish Club today is located in the oldest existing restaurant building on the Grand Strand. Hot Fish Club remains a favorite gathering place today for discriminating locals and is open to everyone seeking Great Food, Great Drink, and Lively Conversation, in the spirit of those earlier revelers. We pride ourselves on our personal service and our desire to satisfy each guest.

Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar opened in 2009, reviving the former Amen name of Cumberland Street and restoring this historic corner. The new renovation stays true to the beauty of the original 1800's architecture while creating a comfortable atmosphere for contemporary life.

Located at 205 East Bay Street in the heart of the historic district this Charleston seafood restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining all within walking distance of the local Market and the Charleston Harbor.

The menu includes a variety of seafood dishes such as oysters, clams and shrimp in addition to an ever growing raw bar menu. Amen Street supports Charleston's local fishing industry with market fresh fish.

We are open for lunch and dinner. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are accepted as well.

Always an amazing culinary experience and a consistent gracious reception makes CRUDO our favorite spot! The fresh oysters, sushi and seafood entrées were a 10 out of 10!!! Treat yourself only if you love fresh seafood!
