Worth every penny. Really unique and personal experience. However, I wish the price was advertised more clearly because it definitely caught me off guard. That being said, I would definitely recommend to anyone who can afford this unique and private experience.

West Village
About the restaurant
The Golden Swan is a neighborhood French tavern that occupies a historic West Village townhouse. The concept was inspired by an iconic New York restaurant of the same name that served as a den for artists and thieves in the 1900s. Chef Brixton's menu is rooted in sourcing, ensuring that every single ingredient that is served comes from the best possible place and is of the highest quality. Guests can casually walk into the first floor bar room, known as The Wallace Room, for the acclaimed Brixton Burger or find their way upstairs to The Dining Room for a more elevated experience with dishes served tableside like Dover Sole with Sauce Meuniere and Côte de Boeuf with bordelaise jus as well as signature dishes like Branzino en Papillote and Crescent Duck. No matter where you enjoy your meal, ingredient-forward drinks that harken back to the golden age of cocktails flow endlessly, evoking a sense of revelry that pays tribute to the concept's history.

Loved our dinner for two at the Golden Swan. James was fantastic. Really upbeat and engaging. Made the night. Food is special and priced as such for sure. Downstairs French bistro vibe, upstairs white tablecloth with banquette seating. Will definitely be back.

For main courses, there are comforting pasta dishes like ziti alla bolognese and bucatini cacio e pepe, as well as more adventurous options like scallops with rosemary and risotto with sun-dried tomatoes, or chicken parmesan with fontina cheese. The service at Lume is attentive, and the staff has been recruited from the owners' other two restaurants. The owners are a family business and are all very involved in the restaurant. They are lucky to have employees who have been loyal for years. Lume has been a success since it opened, and it continues to be popular with both
