Since opening in January 2009, Lumiere has received numerous local and national awards including a MICHELIN Star, AA Restaurant of the Year for England, 3AA Rosettes and is regularly listed amongst the Top 20 Restaurants in the UK by Hardens and Tripadvisor. Food is always excellent at this small restaurant! Overall, the fixed price for the small menu is very reasonable. We had booked upstairs, and service was great to start - if, perhaps a little too quick, but that's because it was quiet and early. Service then slowed, but not from a lack of staff, more from the restricted space. It's the first time we noticed the noise levels.

My daughter and had a fabulous meal. My daughter had the bolagnese and banoffee for desert. Cooked and presented beautifully. I had the Tortelloni Di Manzo which was hands down one of the best dishes I’ve ever had at Amore. Beautifully presented and so incredibly tasty. Will absolutely be having this again and cannot recommend it enough.

The place was quieter than our previous visit but still a good atmosphere. There were three of us and we had Chilli Squid and Whitebait to start. The squid was great with a very good sauce, the whitebait was a bit ordinary. We had Sirloin Steaks which were excellent and well cooked and the other main was Roast Cauliflower which was good but a bit dry. The service was very friendly and efficient. Overall we like this pub and will definitely go again.
