Bann Thai hopes to offer a unique restaurant for the area, combining a friendly, comfortable, and upscale atmosphere with excellent and interesting Thai cuisine food. We want to be the restaurant of choice for adventurous and health conscious singles, couples, families, and business professionals.

According to Jet Tila, celebrity chef and culinary ambassador to the US, the popularity of Thai food comes down to a balance of flavors between sour, sweet, rich, and savory. He stated that “There is a meeting point where I think most people could say this dish or cuisine is very crave able”.

The owner is a native Thai chef who gained her authentic experience through many years of hands-on local cooking in Thailand, followed by over 6 years working as a Thai chef in the Chicago area.

Always good. I had the walleye piccata. Mom had grouper. We shared the broccoli, gnocchi shrimp pasta as an appetizer. Everything was great. Service excellent also.

Experience dining approximately 30 feet below ground in historic caverns that were hand built in the 1800's. Accidentally discovered in 2018 during the building of our parent restaurant, Hudson and Essex, we have refurbished the caverns once used to store beer before air conditioning into a one of a kind dining experience. Every Friday and Saturday night we provide an 8 course dinner with wine pairings from our home winery ( Cypress Hill Winery ) using wines made with California grapes. Prepaid reservation only. Also available to book out for events.

We truly enjoyed our experience at Prohibition in the Caverns. We were greeted by a very attentive staff person and met the owners. There were individual menus with our names on them. The personal touch was nice and made us feel special. The menu choices were very interesting and everything was delicious. The staff were very attentive and we were well taken acre of. We added wine pairings and were surprised to learn all wines were made on site. They were so good we bought 4 to take home! It is a little pricey for most folks, but it is an experience I highly recommend for a special occasion.

Valerio's is one of two favorite restaurants in Little Italy. They always have three fish specials, and three meat specials. Branzino and cioppino are two of my favorite dishes there, my husband loves their chicken dishes, my daughters the pasta, but you really can't go wrong. Their potatoes are succulent, their salads and well thought out, their tiramisu the best in Little Italy.
