This restaurant is permanently closed. Besito (Little Kiss, in English) serves authentic Mexican food and is home to tableside guacamole and the Besito Patron Margarita. Besito serves lunch and dinner everyday. Food specialties include classic tortilla soup, tamales with shrimp and chipotle adobo, ceviche made daily, boneless short ribs of beef and enchiladas suizas. We serve over 60 world class tequilas in our Agave Lounge in an atmosphere of old, rustic Mexico and sophistication bringing back memories of your last Mexican vacation!

Blue Back Square is Besito's first location in Connecticut. Our two other locations are located in Long Island, New York. Besito - Huntington opened up in February 2006 and Besito - Roslyn opened in January 2007.

I base my overall positive rating on my three visits to the restaurant. The last was a bit of a disappointment, however. First of all, there were no specials to choose from, which was surprising given that the menu is not that extensive. The entrees were good, but the accompaniments were mediocre.
When it was time for dessert we had neither a menu nor a platter from which to choose our selection - only the verbal descriptions given by our waitress. And knowing what the desserts looked like would have certainly changed our choices. The wait staff was polite but seemed eager to be rid of us, despite the fact that the place wasn't very busy. As for the ambience, we did go a little early for dinner, but they could have dimmed the lights. It was lit up like a cafeteria.

As I said, i have had better experiences there and I'm sure I will try it again. I don't think I'll bring friends next time though as the experience was a bit of an embarrassment after I talked the place up.

I was very impressed with everything. The host was very professional, the wait staff was very knowledgeable. We were able to take our time and chat without being pressured to order and the food was excellent.
This is definitely on my list of frequent haunts.

The food was excellent. In particular the Blue corn tortillas crusted Mahi. The dining room is extremely noisy and music is loud. Still had a great night.

Waiter was obviously preoccupied with a larger table and had to call other hosts over several times for basic needs. Food was very good as usual, steak was hard to portion for the tacos. Brought out bananas and avocados for children which was very nice. Repeatedly asked for items such as a line which were never received

The restaurant wasn't really busy on this week night and it had been raining like the great flood. It was nice to have the restaurant quiet and intimate. The staff was very nice and helpful. We had a blast. Thanks Besito!

It was a great evening. They accommodated my reservation request for outdoor seating and it was perfect. I was able to treat my parents to a lovely meal out on their patio. They were both impressed with the
Food and drinks and both said they would return, which is a success in my book. The food looked great and tasted great. We all cleared out plates.

Besitos was even kind enough to compliment us with a lovey trea leches and churros (amazing!).

It was a great relaxing experience and I would be happy to go back.

Unfortunately food was mediocre as was service. Have dined in past with better experience. Enchiladas bland. Main course showed up as appetizers were being cleared. No apologies. Waitress was talking with co-workers several minutes before we could attract attention.

We've been dining here since they opened in 2009. Always excellent food and service. Besides the staple menu items they always come up w imaginative specials. The ceviche is a great treat. Margaritas/ tequila top notch.

Dined here for Mother's Day and it was very busy so took awhile for waiter to come to our table. Food was very good and we had the fresh guacamole made tableside which everyone liked. Overall it was a good trip.
