Besito Mexican - Roslyn Ratings and Reviews
We are vegetarians, so had to confine our selves to appetizers since there were no vegetarian entrees. We had the tableside guacamole, three appetizers and a side of street corn. All were absolutely delicious. Good-quality ingredients, beautifully prepared. Very good service as well. We will go back happily, but not too soon, since we'd have have the exact same meal again. We wish the chef would come up with one or two vegetarian entrees! Vegetarian fajitas?
Very noisy to say the least. Menu has been scaled down over the years and we did miss some of our favorites.
Food mostly very good. Do not understand how two people get 1 rice and 1 beans, and four people (which we were) get 1 rice and 1 beans!
Somewhat pushy for you to order, guacamole, drinks etc. (even before other couple arrived).
Beef filet request for medium rare was right on, and delicious, but a large chunk of grizzle was in middle.
Wonderful margaritas, good taco dishes and ribs. On the whole tho a bit pricey.
Still we enjoyed.
Been going since they opened, good quality starting to slip on busy night! Drinks are weak, and not to have a orange vodka us absurd!
Salmon was dry and served with a mole sauce? Mixed tacos were over cooked steak, chicken and under cooked chorizo! Very disappointing!
The tables at the restaurant are very close together. This may increase volume of customer flow, but it is not conducive to a pleasant dining experience. The decision to maximize volume at the expense of privacy will tend to drive away customers in the long run, so it is counterproductive.
Food was just as delicious as the Huntington location, but the service could have been much better. There seemed to be a lot of lag time between the server coming back to our table to take another drink order, and to see overall how the meal came out/if we needed anything. We waited about fifteen minutes after our dessert for our server to come back so we could ask for the check, then another ten minutes to take our credit card (wish we used cash instead to avoid the delay in leaving).
1st time eating here. Ambiance was beautiful!
Service was good.
Food was tasty
The drinks were excellent.
The guacamole (2 avocados) was not enough for 4 people and we ordered it medium hot however it was not medium hot at all. And for $25 it was overpriced, in my opinion.
The chocolate cake with strawberries inside was not sweet at all. Very bland and not tasty at all.
Overall I would give my experience a 7 out of 10
Besitos is a great place to dine and have a good time. The food is always good and the service is very good as well. The ambiance is great with lots of energy. The only thing that my friends complained about was that their margaritas didn't have much tequila. Still, great place for good Mexican food.
I came here with my wife for our anniversary. She ordered a mojito that was extremely sweet. The bus boys were more attentive to us than our server. We informed our server and the maitre d that we did not like our yuca fries, he seemed to not care. They didn't even deduct it from our bill. Also, we did not request champagne and they gave us 2 glasses in honor of our anniversary. They charged it us for the champagne, which we thought was extremely rude. I would not recommend this restaurant in the future.
I am Mexican and Besito is one of my go to restaurants. I love the Guacamole, fresh and made at your table. I loved the cocktails they have. The different appetizers are yummy and very authentic. I go nuts for the plantains and "esquites". My favorite dish is the beef ribs in tomatillo salsa..... mmmm, mmm.
Finally they give you those tasty "churros" at the end of the meal. Every time I go, I need to promise myself to hit the gym the next day, but it is worth it.
Use to be one of our fav Mex but the last 3 times the steak fajitas have been absolutely disappointment. I don't know if they changed their meat supplier or what but not as good as it was. From now on we will skip dinner and just go for drinks and guacamole if in the area. :(
