Great food and a great waiter !!
Our server Briana was delightful, very attentive and professional. She’s the reason we would return to Berrets.
Berret's is our go to for afternoon Oysters. Inside or out, the tables are spaced with consideration for guests. Food and service are always friendly and efficient.
Nice wine list too.
Fabulous. Got there an hour early for our reservation but there was an hour wait list so we went to the bar. It’s small with 4 stools and 2 tables but as we walked in it cleared out and the bartender William told us we were welcome to stay and eat there.
He took great care of us and the food was amazing!
Our server was friendly and helpful. My wife is gluten free and such a joy to have several gluten free options on the menu. The food is delicious and when we are in the area we will return.
Background music wasn’t relaxing
Good was Amazing and plentiful. Special was Enough for take home so excellent value. Great service. Highly recommended
Outstanding! Especially in the midst of the pandemic, we greatly appreciated the excellent service, timeliness (we got in at our reservation time and were served in a very reasonable timeframe), presentation (plating was beautiful), and high quality seafood.
Crappy food. Crappy service. Server lied and said there were no specials left. They were still available when the table
Next to us ordered 10 minutes later. Steered us toward food twice the price . And they were terrible
Seafood cooked in parchment was fabulous. Carrot cake was huge.
Quaint place fitting into the Colonial Motif for Williamsburg. Food was excellent, the service and recommendations from Matt were spot on.
Top notch food with lots of good choices. The service was beyond excellent. Like many restaurants (especially in the summer/fall) it was cold for me, but that's why I always take a sweater. If you like seafood, Berret's is a must try when you're in Williamsburg. It never fails to impress.
Outstanding overall experience. Food was delicious, service superb. Returned the next day for the "oyster happy hour". Next time we visit Colonial Williamsburg, we will certainly include Berret's.
Not very fresh seafood and not great flavors. Lump of mashed potatoes weren’t tasty. Will not return.
Excellent service. Our waiter was exceptional.
The service was good, prices were not inexpensive, possibly the best oysters we have ever eaten!
Because it's downtown in the "touristy" section, some might avoid eating here. That would be a mistake! This is simply the best seafood restaurant in Williamsburg. The fish is super fresh and expertly prepared. Atmosphere inside is soothing and calm, with emphasis on cleanliness and simplicity...a wonderfully welcome relief from all the hubbub around the area. (There is a lively outside dining space/oyster bar which is perfect for those so inclined.)
Good food, nice atmosphere and pleasant service; I’ll definitely go back.
The location is perfect and if you are lucky enough to land an outside table on a pleasant evening the dining experience is enhanced. We were not - there was an hour and half wait so inside we went and the dining room is attractive. Our server was efficient and the meal was presented nicely and tasted ok. (She crab soup tasted bland and brussel sprouts seemed a little undercooked). Overall the meal was fine and the location will bring people back!
Very good seafood! Excellent meal, pleasant service, would highly recommend.
Food is good and solid for a busy restaurant that caters to both locals and tourists. Location very convenient if you are doing Colonial Williamsburg activities.
Lance was an excellent server, we shared two entrées which were both excellent and didn’t have room for dessert. So we called and ordered the desert for take out the next night and picked it up!
This was a lovely experience. The food was excellent, the service was great. I definitely would recommend this restaurant. It was a nice change of pace. It was a little pricey but the portions were excellent.
The food is great and the service was top notch. Great seafood.
It was ok. Nothing earth shattering to say.
Service was good and the food was just great. We would quickly recommend To anyone visiting Williamsburg.
Incredible service by Mike...& delicious shrimp & grits.
Wonderful lunch there with my mother. A little noisy for her but enjoyable nonetheless.
Vacation. We came back to Williamsburg with our friends who never had been to this area before. This was a great first dinner out.
Nice server. Ordered wine. My she crab soup came first. It was just ok. Nothing great and i would not order again. Drinks came finally with dinner. I had a Caesar salad that wilted from so much dressing. It was swimming in dressing and i could not eat it. Croutons were stale. My husband had parchment wrapped seafood. Salmon was good but again the linguine underneath was swimming in sauce. Not a place i would go back to
Good was very good. Good wait service.
We enjoyed a great seafood dinner with outstanding service.
Great dinner - food was excellent and so was our server.
Barret’s was fantastic! We loved our meals so much that we returned on Saturday for lunch! Both experiences were wonderful! Will definitely come back when we’re in town again.
Had excellent food & service. Enjoyed oysters on half shell, she crab soup, crab cake, grilled shrimp, and cream brûlée. Highly recommend you try Berret’s!
As always, Berrett’s offers an impeccable dining experience! Great food and service. The crab cakes are to die for.
Had the Blue Plate. She crab soup, oysters Rockefeller, crab cake and shrimp with mashed potatoes and veggies. Everything was excellent. Our server was great. Would recommend highly.
The host was very friendly and sat us at a beautiful table. Keeley was outstanding and attentive! Chef honored my special requests. Food was amazing! Definitely going to return!
Loved Berret's! Food was amazing...seafood in parchment...yum. Lance our waiter was friendly and spot on. Highly recommend!
Excellent experience from all the people who greeted us to our friendly and attentive waiter, Gregory. The food was well prepared, attractively presented, and delicious.
