   I always eat here when I come into town. Some of the best seafood you can get. Reservations are suggested as seats go early from locals and visitors. A lesson we learned the hard way a few years ago! I make them a few weeks in advance. We had a wonderful evening. Service was great. Oysters, crab puffs, shrimp, and salmon at the dinner table. Everyone enjoyed.

   Excellent food and service as usual. Picked a fairly quiet evening and it was very enjoyable.

   Having eaten here before, our latest dining experience was below expectation. Having placed a reservation on a Wednesday, a smooth check-in and seating, was soon followed by our waiter (Chauncey) that didn’t start the evening off well by spill water while filling glasses. No big deal. Accidentally happen, right? Issues flared again with pulling a wine cork that resulted in damaging the screw. A task that should be simple and routine. Forgetting to bring a drink and bread was half-heartedly pawned off on “It’s my ADHD again.” (an excuse line that I’d guess he’s used multiple times) rather than taking the task of ensuring competence a bit more seriously. Now more than ever, it is a premium to dine out. We would prefer to not to have a future evening out distracted by a lack of skill in Chauncey. Despite this, our food was most enjoyed and devoured.

   Great food. Really good selection of seafood. Loved the shrimp and Oysters. Enjoyed the wine. Our server Jared had the perfect pace to allow us to enjoy our evening.

   The wine paired with our meal was excellent. The Grouper dinner was outstanding, and we dine regularly at Virginia Beach restaurants, and price was modest in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg.

   They sat us in the very first booth, directly across from where the waitstaff enters and exits the kitchen. It was very noisy, especially the loud ice machine. Our waiter had to stop telling us the specials to let the noise pass. But, worse was the food!! My "short rib" was inedible. The waiter had to bring me a steak knife, which I have never used to try to eat short rib. Our table also had crabcakes, "shrimp 2 ways" and the fish special in parchment paper - all meh. For the price, there are better options.

   An absolutely AMAZING restaurant! The food and service is incredible. Btw, try the bread pudding at the end of your meal.
