The food was very good. Service was reasonably good. Nice ambiance. Quiet. Far West location. I would come back again.
We have eaten at this Benvenuto's many times and this was a little disappointing. We were there for a special occasion and we were a little disappointed with the service. Our waitress was not very good and we had to continue to request things that were forgotten. The food was very good. We are hoping this was a fluke as the food will bring us back.
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We were given a quiet spot and the server was very polite and helpful. The food was delicious.
My friend had the Manicotti and loved it. Plenty for not only dinner, but to bring home and have for one or two meals. I had the Chicken Parmigiana and it was wonderful. Was at least another full meal at home! Wine selection was good and we went on a Monday, so the 1/2 price wine bottle special was on and we had the Wollersheim White Reisling, which was very good. Service was very good as well, and we found room to have dessert, the Salted Caramel Brownie A la Mode which was delicious. Needless to say, we walked out of there stuffed. I highly recommend Benvenutos and will personally be back again!
The food was average. We had great service because there were few customers. The waitress was wonderful and took a photo of our group at the end of the meal.
Very enjoyable experience. Attentive service, great menu choices and quiet atmosphere for business conversation. Will return!
Not impressed with food or service. Will not be going back.
Service was slow. Food was just alright. The pizza we got the night before was awesome though!
'We had a small group for a graduation celebration. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was very good and the drinks reasonable. We had a great dinner and celebration.
Great food & good service! Large portions...we came home with lots of leftovers!
Ended taking our oldest daughter out for dinner and had great experience & food.
Delicious food & great service! We went on New Years Eve with a group of friends & had a wonderful time.
service was fantastic, food was outstanding if you looking for a good place to eat this is the one..
Our waiter Jarek was very attentive to our table, he got everything on time and recomendad the Southwest Salad, We will be back to this restaurant for sure
The food was great, I had a prime rib, I ordered a prime rib rare, with au jus. It came out "smothered prime rib" well done. The waitress (Nessa was her name) messed everything up on 3 orders..never brought us water, either. The manager ended up taking over. He was great, which made the night salvagable. Would go again, just not her for a waitress.
The service was extremely quick; our server was attentive and the food came out almost as soon as we had finished the previous course. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were very generous.
Great food thank u for taking care of our group of 17
The service was excellent. Our server was Alex
Appetizers and salads arrived at the same time. Waiter spilled water on the floor-accidental but did get my purse wet. We were seated with 2 tables of crying children which took away from our experience. Food was good but will try one if their other locations for our graduation dinner
Eggplant parm was delicious! Facacia bread was yummy, as was the beer-cheese soup too. The waitress and the host were both very nice & attentive. Reasonable prices, plus they also have a happy hour. Will definitely go back!
Food was very good. This is a great place particularly if you are staying in one of the nearby hotels
Food and service improved greatly since last visit. Waterpark next door added bonus. Will return with family.
Everything was just fair. I have been to other locations and the food has always been good. Maybe it was an off night. The waitress could have been a little more attentive - to fill water glasses, etc.
We made reservations for 4, but met up with a group of 5 friends. Even though the place was hopping, the staff quickly combined us and seated us at a long table in an alcove. The service was great throughout, and the food was excellent! We all ended up sampling each other's dinners, and every single dish was delectable. We all had great dinners and a wonderful time. I will definitely return to Benvenuto's.
Same place on Northside is packed. This location is nicer but less busy. Located in a hotel. Dont miss it for Italian.
Okay, so this is more of a diner than a restaurant. It's inside of a Holiday Inn, and felt more like a Denny's. Food was mediocre and the service was terrible. I'd only eat here again if I were staying at that hotel - and then, only if I had to.
Benvenutos is on my list of restaurants I wanted to go to with my MeetUp group. We had a lot of fun and the food was as wonderful as the conversation. I will defiantly put this in the rotation of restaurants to go back to with the group.
Food was good - service left a bit to be desired. The noise level in the restaurant was good so we could enjoy speaking and not worry about raising our voices.
The food was great and was delicious. The service was very slow at the beginning. We waited about 10 minutes before our actual waiter appeared. We were greated by a female waiter within 5 minutes only for her to return and inform us that she was not our waiter. Our drinks took a little while to arrive once we did place our order and the waiter could not read his own handwriting (because he was writing with a crayon) for the very first order he took and their was a total of four of us. The food did arrive promptly and was exactly as we ordered. We ordered desert and it was delicious. Overall, this was a pleasant dining experience and the price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend.
We eat Easter Buffet every year in Madison at different locations for variety. This year we tried Benvenutos as it was near our hotel. We found the food poor! It was without seasoning, dry, over cooked, and without variety; 2 potato and 1 vegetable. The ham was extremely dry and the prime rib was raw with many non-edible portions. Turkey was the best though unseasoned. The french toast was uncooked in the middle and fell apart upon trying to get it out of the pan and onto the plate. Dinner rolls were great as was some of the ripened, less hard fruit. Even the usual quality and variety of holiday buffet desserts was missing. It was the same price of many of the other buffets we have attended, but not even close to their quality and variety.
I did not find this brunch worth the 25.00 price tag- My mother and I were served Prime rib that was extremely fatty, most of the dishes contained cheese, which doesn't interest me. I did not try the turkey or the ham- they just didn't look very good, in fact they appeared to be pretty processed meat. I did enjoy the salad and the little dessert they had. Was filling, but did not feel all that great and I am wondering if they used MSG in their food. I would not go there again.
Bad service (server was completely uneducated on menu or specials) horrible ambiance (too bright cafeteria-type lighting and too loud) and the food was bland to the point of tasting like paste. Never again.
Calzone was burnt on the bottom. Cajun pasta was over spiced. Waiter was nice; but disengaged. Other Benvenuto's locations have a larger selection of food on their menus. No changes to interior of the restaurant from when they took over from the steak joint. Will not be back; better choices in the area.
The food was great. And the dessert was even better. Nice portions at reasonable prices. Conrad was our server and he was extremely nice.
Our server was very friendly and outgoing without being overly bothersome. I had the rib eye it was great prepared just the way I like rare but not raw. My date had Cajun grilled pasta she loved it asked for extra spice and they made it special for her. Overall great dinner!
First and foremost, I was literally blown away by the service we received. I have never been treated as well as we were treated here. I took my wife here for a Valentine's dinner hoping it was as good as I was hearing, and was NOT disappointed one bit. We had a bit of a delay when we arrived for our reservation due to the craziness of Vday, but that was to be expected and didn't really bother us. We enjoyed a drink at the bar, where the bartender was more than qualified. The wait was short, and once at our table we were greeted promptly by Fonzi, our waiter for the evening. The best waiter I've ever had. He even did the Fonz impression lol. Food was amazing and well prepared, and even well-portioned. Will DEF be going back!
Let me start by saying that I have never been to a Benevenuto's before, though one of my coworkers mentioned the food was great so I took her word. She was correct! I visited the restaurant on Valentine's day and found the atmosphere pretty nice. Not super upscale, but clean and cozy. The food was very delicious and our server was helpful in guiding us in our selection. The host staff and bartender seemed a little understaffed.
My husband and I went to Benvenutos for V day dinner. The service was terrible but food was good. We will not be going back to the West side location.
Skip the chains. This is good food with a nice mixed menu. Poor weather held down the crowd on a normally busy Fiday night.
Went here on NYE and had the Lobster Mac. Excellent flavor and they didn't 'cheap out' on the dish. It was a little more expensive than their normal menu items ($21.00 for my dish) but it was lobster. Plentiful portions, great taste. The service was excellent. Great little italian restaurant. Can't believe we've lived in the neighborhood for several years and never went until now. We'll be back!
