I’ve frequented this wonderful place a few times now, and I have yet to find a dish I didn’t like. Everything is made fresh and you can’t beat the atmosphere. Beautiful artwork and calm lighting, makes for a peaceful setting.
I ordered the Rustica, which is baked penne, shrimp, chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, speck, smoked mozzarella, and Rosemary cream sauce. Absolutely creamy heaven!
The service is just as great as the food. Friendly, helpful staff.
Benvenuti’s is one of our favorite restaurants. My husband and I dine here for our anniversary, every year. The food and service is always top-notch.
The food was great! Service felt lackluster. A party that arrived after my husband and I was sat at their table before we were. Once we were sat, a table that was sat after us were waited on before we were. We waited a long time for our wine order. We also saw other tables were being served bread and we were not. We had to ask for bread.
Overall good food, mediocre service! Service could be quicker and more streamlined.
This is my all-time favorite restaurant in the Norman/OKC metro area. I was curious to see how the in-person dining experience would differ from the previous times I have been to Benvenuti's. The staff all wore black masks and seating was apart from other diners. The food & service was excellent as always. The most interesting change was the menu access on my cell phone. Disposable paper menus were also offered if preferred rather than reading the menu on my phone. Still a wonderful time and comfortable!
The food was absolutely amazing, just as we had heard. The noise level was perfect, if anything my group was the loudest there. Practicing social distancing by seating tables far away from each other and wearing masks. Very clean, very organized. Had a wonderful time and will come again!
Food was delicious but a tad bit over salted for me. I will definitely go back. The margarita was delicious except I prefer the glass rim to have salt instead of sugar.
Our first time out after quarantine. Wonderful food and service! Precautions to protect others was excellent!!
Our reservation was for 645. We got there 10 minutes early. It was 800 or later before we left. Service was very slow. Restaurant was not full, as it should be. Not understanding why everything was so slow.
Food is delicious and the service is always great! We felt good about the cleanliness of the restaurant.
Excellent service and superior menu
The menu is long and imaginative, and the food was quite good but not memorable. We expected much better service at this price point; our server had to go ask about every one of our questions, got wines mixed up, and forgot several things; we had to keep asking for things. It could be a really great restaurant, and well worth the price, if the staff were first class and well trained. But it's quite expensive for the current level of service.
Perfect date night and great attention to health and safety without hindering the experience. Use of the QR code to access their menu via mobile device was a nice offering.
First opening night. Food perfection. Service wonderful.
Excellent service and food
The food was fine but service was a little slow and error prone for a party of eight. Salad dishes were served to wrong parties. Second glass of wine ordered was never delivered. Pleasant wait staff but not particularly efficient. Walls, floors and ceilings are all hard surfaces and reflect sound harshly making conversation nearly impossible. The need to hire an acoustic engineer to reduce the ambient sound. All in all an okay but not a memorable experience.
A gem in downtown Norman. This is one of our favorite spots for a nice night out either with friends or on a date night.
Excellent food and service. The Arctic char came with a ratatouille medley and both were excellent.
Wonderful food in a lovely restored train station
Food was good , service was okay. Our waiter seemed like he was working the whole restaurant by himself. We were sat in an area where every time someone walked by they kicked my chair.
When in Norman it’s become our must do! Reservations are always suggested.
Knowledgeable server that recommended great wines and dinner entrees.
Great menu loved my veal P!
Service was terrible. Took a long time to get our food and then they brought out all of the adult entrees but not the children’s. We waited about ten minutes then flagged down another server to bring theirs. When the manager came to the table she seemed completely disinterested in hearing about the service.
Great food and service, but very crowded, busy environment on a Saturday night. Nice selection of wines.
We came here for a special occasion but plan on returning on a regular basis. Everything was delicious and the service was equally good. Many of today’s restaurants are so loud that it is difficult to hold a conversation. The atmosphere was conducive to conversation. We were able to not only enjoy the food but each other’s company.
Table was ready exact time of reservation, service was very fast and perfectly timed for each menu item. Will certainly go back!
This was our first time at this establishment. We were seated promptly after a very short wait. Our server was very helpful and frequently stopped by the table to check on us. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that appreciates an enjoyable dining experience that’s a step above your “chain” branded restaurants.
Amazing Food. Great Service. Will defiantly go back.
No, I really don't want to recommend Benvenuti's to anyone. I want it all to myself!! From the fabulous service to the wine and cocktail list to the food that is prepared to perfection this is my favorite Italian restaurant. If you don't feel like pasta, try any one of the amazing steaks. You really won't find a better steak anywhere. While the food is upscale the atmosphere is casual. Wear what you like and be prepared for a little taste of heaven.
Went on the Saturday following Valentines day. Place was packed and very, very loud. The staff was able to get us seated 15 minutes after out reservation, which I was understanding of. Our appetizer was excellent. Oddly they do not serve salad as part of the meal. My wife got the Wagu special for $75, we werent impressed. I've had better steak at Lonestar for less than half that. I had the sea bass which was excellent. Overall this was not a negative experience, it's just that we've ate at places such as Truluk's that blew us away for even less money with a much better atmosphere. Our experiences with Truluk's have always been above expectations and memorable. Our experience at Benvenutis was not a very memorable one.
I love Benvenuti's. Thank goodness we don't live locally or I would want to eat here every week. This trip we shared the charcuterie board and it was all lovely. The olives were particularly good this time. My husband had the special strip steak and it was cooked perfectly. I had the wild boar and could not believe how wonderful it tasted. Not gamey at all like some wild meats tend to be. Our sever was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience.
Fabulous food and great ambiance!
Filet was barely warm, it had been sitting a while when they brought it out. Noose level was thru the roof. Tables were way too close. Other than that, service was good just not a great vday dinner. Not what I expected.
Had reservations for 8:00 and was not served our main entrée until 10pm, we were starving! The manager never checked on us nor did they apologize for the two hour wait. I ordered the pigs and scallions and both were overcooked and the meal was more of an appetizer than a main entrée. My wife ordered the Lobster fazzoletti and it was overcooked also and bland. This was our third visit and the food still did not meet the expectation, especially given the price point of the menu. Other dishes we have tried include the Pasta from Hell which was good, the pasta rigatoni which was bland and the fish which again was overpriced. The salads were good, especially the Greko and Rocket. There are many other better options at this price point, very disappointed.
food was amazing! our servers name was rita and she was absolutely fantastic.
Early Valentine's dinner
Good friend, great service! Wait staff made great drink recommendations. Only issue was it was a tad dark and noisy - my 60 yo mother and I (30 yo) had a difficult time hearing one another.
