First and last time here. The chicken dinner on the special turned out to be a chicken leg, not
what you would expect from a place like this. Our other dinner was Linguine and Clam sauce which was mainly Olive Oil and overall tasteless. We will not be back.
Christine the manager seated us right away. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. There were a plenty of gluten free options and our meals were delicious along with great sized portions. Christine also took the time to see how our meal was and to let us know that they had a party room. Our food and experience was great and we would definitely recommend them.
The portions were large and all four meals were excellent.
We enjoyed our visit to Benucci's. The Food was very good and it was quiet so you could hear yourself talk. It has nice ambiance.
Had a wonderful dinner on 11/18/17 celebrating my mother’s birthday! So happy they had a lot of gluten-free and tasty options. Good food, wonderful service. Would highly recommend. Benucci’s Greece N.Y. location. Can’t wait to return!
I really like going to Benucci’s for lunch. It’s a great place to meet up with your friends. Good pizzas, simple bar menu and attentive service.
The food was great! The only downfall was the salmon portion.
The meals were not ordered correctly, everyone was served at a different time
and the food was not good. Wouldn't go back.
Greece location must have had an off night, food was not the greatest. Dinner @ the Monroe ave. location seems to be better.
While the food might not taste like authentic Italian cooking, the lasagna, pizza, soups and salads are delicious. I like the design - it is upscale yet not intimidating. The manager has been there for a while, and she does an excellent job of presenting the restaurant as welcoming and clean with a well-trained staff. I'm glad that Benucci's is nearby.
Good food. A nice place to have a business meeting. The booth was roomy and comfortable.
Waitress was attentive, yet left us to our business meeting. Food was excellent and portions generous. Would recommend for a short business luncheon for both reasons mentioned.
Our over all time at the restaurant was very good. The food was very good and more than enough .The atmosphere is very nice, the service was pleasant, but our server was a little confused with some of our orders but was very willing to make the necessary changes. I am very happy that I took the recommendation of one of my friends as a good place to meet other friends. I would recommend the pepperoni pizza and that it could-be shared with a friend.
Every one raved about their food. The service was excellent and very accommodating for the large group.
I started with the side caesar salad which was good. It was a generous portion which I loved. I then ordered the eggplant rollettes. I wanted to go for an option without pasta. I was disappointed when it got to my table and I saw a heaping pile of linguine (which is a pasta I do not like) and 2 little pieces of eggplant. The tomato cream sauce was tasty but pasta was just not what I was in the mood for. Mushrooms inside of the sauce were good but there were only a few. I ate the eggplant and then had to throw away the rest of the meal because I would not eat the leftovers at home. It seemed like a huge waste and I felt bad telling the kind waitress that I was all finished with my meal. I suggest on the menu you add pasta to the description under the eggplant. There were few people in the restaurant at 7pm but it was a nice night so I'm sure most people were down by the water or cooking out at home.
Portion for my lobster ravioli was small and my fried calamari had more banana peppers than anything. Also my pina colada taste like bananas was not good
First time there but definitely on the list to go back to--Great food, great service and a reasonable price
Good food, large portions, friendly, prompt service.
Wonder wait staff and food was really good. We were able to use a coupon on a Friday night which was a real plus
Restaurant empty. Service was non existent. Notified owner of the issues via email. No thank you for letting me know. No response at all. Shame because we would have given it another chance.
The food quality was average. We did not even want to bring out leftovers home.
Met with an old friend for lunch. It was quiet enough to talk, the waitress was attentive but not overbearing... was a great place!
It was my first time to Benucci's and I was very happy with all aspects, food, service and overall restaurant. Thank you I will be back soon.
We never went. They called and left a message 3.5 hours before our reservation stating that they could not honor our reservation.
The lasagna was delicious. Lots of meat and ricotta cheese; just the way I like it. We took my brother for his birthday, but he didn't care for the chicken parm. However, he did say that the angel hair pasta was very good. We were the only customers, so we felt that the server, though very nice, could have been more attentive about beverage refills. She also forgot to apply our coupon, an oversight that I almost missed and was worth $10.00.
Benucci's restaurant is a wonderful place to go and have a great meal with family and friends. The food is delicious; the salads are always fresh, and their desserts can't be beat. The atmosphere is always cozy and you are never rushed. Our waitress was friendly as are all of the wait staff who've served us in the past. Looking forward to the next time we eat at Bennuci's!
My entree, pasta fazool was good for the most part, however, it needed more seasonings. My friend ordered the chicken parm with white sauce and it was not good at all. Chicken was grizzly and looked microwaved. That also needed more seasoning. Not a great meal. The service was excellent.
Very Disappointing. Took forever for the meals to come out. When they finally arrived pasta dishes were cool. The Salmon Entre salad was drenched in dressing even though my wife asked for just a "little dressing". Salmon tasted bad so she did not eat it. The Angel Hair pasta was glued together and was not eaten. Ordered a Carafe of "Primitivo" and it was oxidized. Everything took so long and we were under a time constraint as my Guests needed to get back to Buffalo and now they were late. We did not complain or make a big deal out of it for fear we would have wasted more time than was already spent. Actually I was just ready to get up to find out what the problem was when the server rounded the corner with our dishes. If the meal would have been good we probably would have forgotten about the timing issue but it was not.
I am pretty tolerant in restaurants but the bad things here just kept coming! There's more issues but I am stopping now!
Nicole our server was pleasant, did a good job when it was her turn to do something but she did not take the clue about the salmon and bring it to the attention of the manager. (or maybe there wasn't one or the manger didn't care and that's the problem)
The Pasta Chip Nachos Appetizer was good.
the food was very good. Portions ample- service good. Quiet and conducive to conversation.
Reasonable prices. Recommend!
The service was wonderful, and we always enjoy the casual and quiet setting. This time, a young family was seated back-to-back with my side of the booth, and the toddlers didn't stop moving for the entire meal. They were hanging into my side of the seat and banging on the bench while screaming. Perhaps the hostess can spread out the diners when the restaurant is only half full so that a quiet meal isn't ruined. The food was delicious, and the service was perfect, as always. Not the restaurant's fault about the kids, but it was distracting.
Overall it was fine. We had a reservation for 6, but table was set for 5. The bread was stale and falling apart into small pieces. 6 people - one very small tub of butter. Waitress acted either new or slow - was very nice - but not sure what was wrong with her. Dinner food was excellent.
Wait staff was excellent (Adranna). Food was not quite as good as the last time we were there. Try the bruschetta sampler. It is excellent.
Took our son to Benucci's for his birthday. He had signed up online and received a "free meal" coupon for his birthday. The value was for $12, but none of the entrees on the menu are that price or below, so they just took the $12 off the total bill. I feel "free meal" coupons should either not have a specific value, like the one from Applebee's, or make the value the average price of the normal entrees. Also, most places provide the birthday person with a free inexpensive dessert. This was not done here.
Made a reservation but ended up eating at the bar to watch the golf tournament.
Bartender was very attentive and as usual the food was fantastic & very reasonable.
I have only been there twice now but its absolutely fantastic. My husband and I will be going there regularly for datenight.
online reservation was easy, they were ready for us upon arrival. everything was great - really from the online reservation to the meal.. what was outstanding was the white sangria!!!
Benucci's Is an above average Italian restaurant. If you are looking for a nice night out at a place with good and affordable food this would be an excellent choice. Benucci's won't blow you away with amazing food, and is far from the best Italian place in the Rochester area, but the food is a solid good quality that also won't disappoint.
The cocktail menu, while small, is varied enough that everyone should be able to find an option, and creative enough that you won't be drinking the same tired drinks you do everywhere else. The dinner menu is not the largest, but provides enough versatility that there shouldn't be a problem finding a dish to satisfy every palate and mood.
We started our meal with the most excellent Roasted Garlic Cheese Bread, Like many Italian restaurants this resembled more of a pizza than a bread, and was absolutely excellent. It was topped with just enough cheese to be think and stringy and bubbling without being an overpowering brick of dairy and just the right amount of Garlic. Worth noting is also that all entree's come with a basket of excellent Italian bread and a phenomenal garlic butter to spread upon it. Then into the main course, I ordered the Pesce Diavolo, which unfortunately was a bit of a let down. The pasta and fish were cooked to perfection, and present in just the right amount, unfortunately the sauce was beyond lackluster. There was no discernable spiciness to it. There was nothing to distinguish this sauce from a standard sad marinara sauce. It was tasty, but clearly not worth of the name Diavolo. My date on the other hand ordered the Linguine and Meatball, which was positively excellent. The giant meatball was moist and tasty, with just the right seasoning. The marinara sauce was tasty, the pasta was cooked to perfection and the Alfredo sauce was creamy and cheesey.
My impression is that this is a worthwhile Italian eatery that is just too timid with adding spice to things. Go there, just avoid any of the spicy dishes.
Chicken was tender and caramelized. Vegetables were authentic Mediterranean selections.
Dressing tasted homemade. Generous portion.
Love Benuccis as they have a great gluten free menu. My husband and I go there often. Tonight was not one of our best. We ordered the gluten free shrimp appetizer and it came with breadcrumbs. They offered it free to my husband while I waited for the gluten free one. It was very good. I ordered a gluten free dish - scallops with risotto. My husband ordered a chicken dish. His was excellent. My risotto was stone cold! Not even lukewarm but very cold! The scallops were hot so I ate those. The waitress offered to make me another one but I did not want to wait another 20 minutes. I reheated it the next day and it was delicious. The waitress was very nice and did not charge me for my beverage. Yes, I will give them another chance as their food is usually top notch!
Waiter was off on his timing of bringing food items to table. One entrée had no taste at all, and other entrée tasted like a heavy burned sauce, although it was supposed to be a marinara. Veal was triangle shaped and grey on the inside obviously frozen product. Manager deducted the price of our entrees which was generous, but would not recommend nor go back to this restaurant.
