Bentleys is an upscale restaurant that specializes in traditional American cuisine. The restaurants interior is tasteful with an intimate and romantic ambiance. Each table is covered with a bright white tablecloth and adorned with a fresh sunflower. Bentleys also features a full-service bar where guests can choose from a variety of drinks to accompany their meals.
Begin the meal with an appetizer like Mediterranean-style fried calamari tossed with pepperoncini, arugula and preserved lemon drizzled with smoked red pepper sauce or the restaurants signature wings with choice of Buffalo sauce, BBQ sauce or harissa chili sauce. For the main course, dig into the chefs special Bentley burger made with an 8 oz. beef patty and Vermont cheddar cheese. Bentleys also offers a variety of entre dishes. Try the beef brochette prepared using a secret family recipe with marinated cubes of grilled local beef and veggies served over saffron rice.
Bentley's is the restaurant at The Black Bear Lodge at Stratton Mountain. They have a full bar but a short menu. Hamburger was good, Crispy 1/2 duck could have been crispier but was tasty.
Nice place physically, very pleasant young server, but they need to get someone in the kitchen who knows how to cook. Turkey burger...tasteless, overdone. That is not exactly a complex dish to do well. Place was extremely quiet because there were only three tables of people in a very large room. Too bad...its location and the room have great potential but it was empty for a reason....the food can't compete with other local restaurants. Empty on a Friday night during ski season? That says it all.
The food was tasteless and the service was not that great either. The place is not great for vegetarians, may be better for people that eat meat. The black bean burger was pre made (frozen) and seemed that it was not fresh. The wine was bad as well. I would never recommend this place.
For $100 for a family of four I don't expect stale buns or dishes left on the table when my server comes and goes. I had to send my drink back because the tonic was flat. This may be a personal thing, but in a restaurant where the pasta dishes cost $22, I don't expect the bartender to have a nose ring. Not classy. I Even felt the kids menu was expensive $8.95 each.
Good food, generous portions, adequate food choices, competent waitstaff.
The bar and tvs are visible from your table so this is not your romantic getaway but it was great to dine here and not drive down the access road.
We will definitely return
Good food, good salads, good ambience for family. Appreciate that they give options other than french fries for kids' meals (fruit cup or vegetables). We very much enjoyed our meal!
Bentley's is walking distance from town square in Stratton which is a plus in the freezing cold. It does have a somewhat limited menu, but the food is excellent and there are enough choices for dining with kid.s
food was very good-service as well
Small menu. No Kid friendly appertizers. Eat there last year it was wonderfull had special menue for Christmas. This year it was a disappointment
It is such a shame when you have a pleasant experience at a restaurant with great service and then the food is disappointing. We were greeted and treated very well in a nice environment. Unfortunately, the steaks were thin and dry, the pumpkin ravioli was not a good marry of flavors and the bread pudding for dessert was bland and very dry. We would not go back as in the same area there are restaurants with better food. It was also very expensive and not worth it.
