Loved the cauliflower "wings" and the lobster mac and cheese
I had a birthday dinner with a friend and we both ordered the salmon on rice; which was good, but the vegetable that came with it was unrecognizable. We thought it was supposed to be Brussel sprouts but we had to ask the server. They were shredded and fried and smelled burnt and were cold. The server apologized, but there was no offer to send the food back to the kitchen, comp the meal, or speak with the manager. We received a free dessert as it was my friend's birthday. Not sure I'll go back any time soon as this isn't the first time something like this happened and it's disappointing as Bent Fork is the only neighborhood restaurant that is NOT a large chain.
Great food as always. But my drink was a little on the strong side. Not really tasty.
Very enjoyable family birthday dinner. From 6 to 75 everyone had a excellent dinner!
Have been going here since it opened the Aurora store (there is another in northern colorado). At first it was good and over the first couple of years it got better. Lately, it has been cruising on its laurels - and the paucity of good restaurants in south Aurora. The menu is stale, the kitchen is risk averse - pumping out the same pap day after day, week after week. I sincerely think that they haven't had a menu rework in the last five years. The tacos and salads are fine staples. But the sandwiches are boring. There is really very limited seafood options - particularly the oddly stupid deep fried salmon and chips. On the weekends there is prime rib - but is is of the choice variety. The wines have the normal 300%-400% markup, starting with $10/bottle wines and charging $8-$10/glass. The wait staff is local and not well trained, partially compensating with honest enthusiasm. We go out weekly and the Bent Fork has been on our regular rotation for years. Whether or not it remains so will depend on whether the owner takes notice of the slide and opts to do something about it.
We ended up with 12 of us on a 10 person reservation and the wait staff was very courteous and made sure we had enough seating and place settings. The food was great. everyone including several 1st timers enjoyed all the food choices. The prime rib is excellent. I would highly reccommend Bent Fork
We had the prime rib special and it was excellent. The brussels sprouts served with it were great also. The caprese salad was okay, could have used more basil or greens underneath and more balsamic on top. But overall, a really good meal at a great price.
We love Bent Fork. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Service is great!
Great menu, food, and service! Have eaten here many times and it is consistently the same.
Service was the highlight. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Salad and appetizer were good but my wife’s salmon entree was very undercooked. I had the ahi tuna which was good however the amount of accompanying mustard sauce was way too much and almost overpowered the dish. The limited wine list is priced as it should be. Overall we had a nice time.
We have had very good luck with The Bent Fork in the past. This past weekend, however, the meal was lack-luster. I ordered a half salad, and my partner ordered a whole salad - spicy pecan, spinach salad with salmon on top. My partner's salad came out almost as small in portion size as mine, and the salmon on both was very small - for $10+ a piece, we definitely did not feel as though we were getting our money's worth. My partner sent his back as it was not a full portion, and it came back with more spinach surrounding the salmon which made it look even smaller. Our whole party also ordered wine; two out of the four pours were pretty small - for the size of the glass, the wine pour was pretty chintzy. We almost always have a very good experience here, and we would like to make this restaurant a "go-to" when we visit our family; this past experience, however, will make us think twice before heading back to The Bent Fork. We wish them all the best; consistency, though, is key.
Great dinner place for family and friends our waitress was exceptional and friendly
We had a group of 10 people for dinner and felt quite cramped, wouldn't suggest for groups over 4-6. Great food, though! Would just prefer to go in a smaller group.
The last time I went here was for my Brother's rehearsal dinner (20 years ago). I had forgotten about this place until my daughter sent me a gift certificate for Christmas. What was I waiting for? Great food, tremendous service and reasonable pricing. You don't know what you are missing with this place. Just a bit hard to find, but well worth it.
Always good food, service and overall experience.
Always great service and food . 1 of our favorite places to go .
The food was a little pricey for what you got. No happy hour unless you were in the bar. No bread on the table. You had to ask for it and pay extra. That is always unfortunate. At one point, it was extremely noisy.
Consistent in quality of food and service. Everyone ordered something different and everyone enjoyed what they had. Shared the flourless choc cake and crème brulee and both far surpassed desserts in the pricey steak houses in town.
I never ate here before, I had the fish tacos and I did notvluke them at all. Pricey and the house salad had limp romaine lettuce and was very small for 4.99. I will never eat here again. My friend liked her burger and another friend liked her pasta but everyone agreed it is too pricey and the food is not worth the prices. 2 of us got the tacos and we both hated them. Their salsa is very strange too and we didn't care for it
I have been going here for many years and have always had great service and meals. This is not a typical neighborhood restaurant and I am glad it isn’t as you feel good when you are there.
The hosts were very cordial and welcoming. The wait staff were friendly, upbeat and professional. The food was perfectly cooked and tasty. The prices were on the low side considering the quality of the food and the service level. I’m going back!
Have lived in Aurora for 30+ years and have driven past this place hundreds of times. So glad we finally went, will definitely go back. Great service and food! Food is a bit pricey for a neighborhood restaurant but worth it for the service, taste, and close location.
The food and wine was good. Service excellent. A good place to have lunch.
Creative and delicious food with great service at a very reasonable price.
We thought it might be a bit more upscale so we dressed up but found that it was more casual.
The menu was great, everyone enjoyed there food and the martinis and mixed drinks were fine.
Our waiter, Deshawn was attentive, friendly and not to invasive. We had a table for 6 and it was a bit loud with three birthdays being celebrated around us and the singing staff. We have visited the northern Colorado restaurant and felt it was more of a special destination restaurant so we were a bit disappointed in the casual, busy atmosphere of the restaurant in Aurora.
So the food was good, but...the Caprese appetizer was missing the basil and olive oil, the kid's cheeseburger was missing the cheese, the taco entree was missing the pico, and the NY Strip was about a 1/4 inch thick. So we left feeling like we had kind of half a dinner.
Service was very nice and attentive, but Back-Of-House operations lacking.
One of our favorite local restaurants! We don’t typically bring our kids and prefer to go for date night, but we had our kids with us this last time and they loved the food as well. It has a great neighborhood feel without being a kid restaurant. That said, the kid menu is pretty typical (Mac and cheese and chicken tenders) so we chose to order their food from the regular menu instead. It would be lovely if the kid menu included smaller portions of the regular menu instead of predictable “kid menu” that picky gets get. The regular menu is just too good to miss.
Our visit was in honor of my wife's birthday. My two daughters were in our company.
Was more than surprised to learn that you did "nothing" for birthdays. That seems
utterly weird to me. The waitress is the one that used the term "nothing." I won't be
back for any more birthday celebrations since you don't even offer a dish of ice cream
or a bit of cake. I won't be back for birthdays - for sure!
Delightful lunch for a birthday celebration. Service was a bit distracted but food was great.
Food was very tasty and service was great.
The food was very good, especially the Brussels sprouts.
All in all: amazing!
My date and I enjoyed the casual elegance. It is so refreshing to go to a restaurant that is not noisy. Food was terrific as was the service. The salmon fish & chips was mouthwatering, -can't wait to have it again! What a treat to have this restaurant right in the neighbohrood.
none of the above were checked. the service would be the only reason to give a positive comment about the Bent Fork. The food was over cooked, over spiced, the veg were not appealing to look at an thus we did not eat them. I may come back one more time but never a special occation.
The kitchen and the food are always very good. Service was professional, friendly, and right on the money with timing and attentiveness,
Excellent scallops. Cooked to perfection. Crab cakes were delicious and are suitable for the Maryland palate
I sent an e-mail compliment to the GM (W. Silva) after lunch with my dear friend this day.
I expressed how many occasions this year I have eaten at the Bent Fork. Once again, this
lunch was an "applause," and I look forward to dining at the Bent Fork in 2018.
Go to the Bent Fork!
We have revisited this restaurant several times over the past year. The food has been consistently delicious and reasonable priced. The seating is limited, so we have had to do with dining in the bar area on occasion, which tends to be a bit loud. But the food definitely makes up for the inconvenience.
WOW! There was nothing about this experience we did not enjoy. From the minute we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile and immediately seated. Our waiter, DJ, came over, introduced himself, and began setting down drink napkins. He noticed the paper napkins were rumpled and decided they weren’t satisfactory enough to be placed on the table. He is, without a doubt, one of the best waiters we’ve ever encountered. There were four of us and he showed each of us equal attention throughout the meal. Every plate we ordered, with his help because we hadn’t dined here before, was absolutely delicious and the portions were more than sufficient. We had salmon, spicy sausage pasta, black and blue pasta, and a rib eye sandwich. For dessert, we split a flourless chocolate cake and a brownie with vanilla bean ice cream. Both were decadent without being overly rich. Throughout the meal, we kept commenting how awesome everything was, as we ate off each other’s plates, and how amazed we were because we’re all so incredibly picky. On top of an already wonderful experience, the tab for the meal was so reasonable. Including a 25% tip, we payed less than my husband and I have paid elsewhere for just the two of us and not enjoyed ourselves as much. I can’t say enough great things about this place!
We always enjoy the Bent Fork! The food is great, but their portions are growing smaller and the prices...are not! We were celebrating a birthday with a party of five and the place was not super full, however one other party of four got seated within touching distance when there were other seating options. I felt like we were all struggling with conversation because of how closely we were seated. They are not the only restaurant to do this though. Everything else was good!
