Always great fresh food and nice outdoor seating. Bennett's never disappoints.
Good food, fresh and tasty, good service
Our experience with Bennett's is consistently positive; good food, excellent service, and comfortable surroundings.
Very inexperienced server. Salmon overdone. We will go back but it might be a little while!
As first timers, we stopped by for an early dinner on way to the Stones concert at the CLink. Service was very friendly and prompt, and not rushed. We started with calamari & some drinks, all of which we liked. We also enjoyed the salmon and pork shoulder entrees. Tasty. We finished with a Basque cake and cookie deserts. Would come again.
Good deals on Happy Hour foods for sure, and everything was very fresh and flavorful.
Great service with a smile from Jeremy tonight. Splitting the bill 3 ways was no problem. He was extremely attentive but also discreet. Give that young man a bonus.
Very good food..
Oddly, the halibut special was way over cooked. The sides were exceptional.
Service was great. Food was okay. Nothing to write home about. Halibut was a bit overcooked and overpriced.
We’ve eaten at Bennett’s for years. The last 3 times the salmon was way over cooked and dry. We had taken our off island friends. Their halibut was very very over cooked and very dry. The quality of the food (or chefs) has gone very low. We need to find another “go-to” restaurant. Sorry. The island is calling for another restaurant to serve quality food the way Bennett’s used to be.
We were off to a good start but then a man had a medical emergency at the bar which led to chaos and paramedics. He was doing ok and refused to go to the hospital because he himself was a doctor and knew everything. He had golfed and road his bike on a sweltering Seattle day so by the time cocktails were added, he was very dehydrated. Staff was helpful. I walked to Walgreens and bought the good doctor Gatorade and Saltines. Not the most relaxing dinner I’ve had at Bennett’s but I’ll still go back.
Service was great, ambiance is pleasant. Chicken was dry.
Great, friendly service and food always excellent! Definitely a favorite!
Our server was horrible! She rarely came back to check on us and when I asked to have my tea refilled, she said ok and didn’t come back until I waved her down (she was chatting with another server at the bar). When she returned to our table with the pitcher of tea, she said with attitude, “I didn’t forget about you. I was just busy.” This is very disappointing since my sister suggested this restaurant.
Our 49th Aniv. Ordered the Delmonico steak for 2 @ $80. Being from NY I expected a NY stirip steak or a Rib eye. It was neither. I specified medium rare. It arrived three times as blood rare, rare and finally med. rare. The waiter did a good job defending the kitchen and working the problem. My take away was don't try anything out of the ordinary at Bennett's, stick to the usual's. On the other hand, I was pleased with the champagne that was not from the menu.
Good all around brunch. Wish there was more selection but it was good. Had the Eggs Bennett. The eggs were a bit overdone but the flavor was good. It was good... Just wouldn't rush back. Mediocre.
Awful service, the servers obviously did not want to be there. Restaurant smelled and not like good food. Food was mediocre at best
I met a friend here for lunch and we were thrilled with the dish we both chose. The Sausage Gemilli with Roasted Mushrooms, Snap Peas and Beecher Cheese was amazing. The flavors were rich and very satisfying. We were both amazed and would order this again.
Food was delicious and consistently high quality. Recommend the steak and eggs.
Tomato soup grilled cheese and small Cesar. Perfect
This was a PERFECT DINING VENUE for LUNCH with a long time friend. We sat in a booth and enjoyed quiet conversation with NO LOUD MUSIC to intrude upon us... Also, the tables were spaced so that our conversations were not overheard by others, nor could we hear theirs. That was delightful. The food was delicious... and the service was attentive and very pleasant. We will return again and again... SO VERY NICE to have a pleasant dining venue on Mercer Island...
Great meal and service!
Very good service. Food was ok, nothing special and felt substantially overpriced.
I hosted a guest for a business lunch. The service was outstanding and both of us really enjoyed our lunches.
Good for foodies, families and value-conscious alike. Great service every time I come and a great, reasonably priced wine and cocktail list as well.
I have been eating here since 2010. I even had my wedding rehearsal dinner at Bennett's. Always highly recommend.
Food was great and we enjoyed sitting outside. However, service was awful.
Love the seafood risotto
Good food and a bistro atmosphere.
Food way overcooked. Almost inedible eggs and burgers. Server was great and handled it well.
always great, especially the Salmon with risotto. would like to see a bigger selection of tequila
Bad food and terrible service.
The very first time I came in the mussel and other dishes that we ordered were amazing! We came back the 2nd time, the mussels weren’t fresh but the server did take it out from our bill. The service was excellent! Will give it another try
Food was good and so was service. But it is really overpriced in my opinion and very loud with tables too close together.
Very pleasant place for a meal. Service consistently good.
Service was slow and hot plate brought out that was stone cold. Not sure if they have a new chef but service was wonderful last October by comparison. We will hesitate going back
Dungeness crab Cobb salad was delicious, and the amount of fresh Crab was very generous.
would eat there again in a heartbeat if on Mercer Island
Excellent food, well prepared and served. Somewhat limited menus. Good wine list by the glass. Quite noisy when restaurant fills up.
