We went for Valentines Day and each enjoyed a wonder steak with the most amazing au gratin potatoes I have ever eaten!
There's not too many places around anymore that offer all the crab legs you can eat. Bennett's does on Friday nights. I have been there several times. This time the crab legs were terrible. They were so salty my tongue was burning. My table date ended up getting sick after dinner and was not doing well all night long. Our waiter Cory was absolutely the best! He offered me a different meal which I decided to try. It 2 had a lot to improve on. Seabass was swimming in oil or butter and was rubbery. Cory took everything off my bill and even bought me a cocktail. We will go back but unfortunately I'm going to have to find a new place for crab legs. I highly suggest there chop salad.
We had a lovely Valentine's Day Dinner. The restaurant was packed but neither the service or quality of food was negatively impacted in the slightest. They offered their usual full menu and several specials. It was wonderful. Unless you need white table cloths I don't know why you would choose a different chop house!
We decided to spend Valentine's Day at Bennett's and we're so glad we did. The food was tremendous (and very reasonably priced), the specials were inventive, my steak was grilled to absolute perfection and our server (Andy, I believe?) was incredibly attentive, knew the menu inside and out and timed the delivery of our meals perfectly.
A fantastic experience. We'll be back.
The walleye was overdone, burnt on one edge. Rest of meal was average
I didn't have enough time to return it to the kitchen
Great service! Food was ok. Pork chop dinner was a hit, but the wings were too salty. Crab cake was good.
Good start to our night, but not so much in the end. They have a small anti room to keep the cold out, but need a heavy curtain by the second door. The nearest tables freeze. Then the waitress raved about the carrot cake only to tell us they were out of it. Then in fact were out of ALL their deserts, even ice cream. Did not offer anything except sorry. Parking is horrible when they do a shuttle to Wild games.
It was over a year since our last evening. (Little humans ) Always worth the drive (Wayzata) our friends have never been there and also loved it. i have recomended twice already. Thank you Joe and your staff!
We visit Bennett’s every Thursday night for 1/2 price burgers. Always done perfect. Atmosphere like a neighborhood bar, friendly servers, great food. We love it.
Great food, great service, great value, great evening!
Based on the menu and how the restaurant looked on Open Table, I was surprised that it was so old. The entrance seemed run down, the clientele all seemed be over 60, and it did not look like a place you’d go for a $35 steak or scallops. It seemed like a neighborhood restaurant and bar that had been around for 50 years. We almost went elsewhere, but decided to give it a try.
That being said, our food was good. The service was good. We had crab cakes, a bison burger and sliders. The fries were amazing!
Hole in the wall bar with great history and PULL TABS!!
Service and food was great!
Celebrating our anniversary and sister's birthday after a long day at Super Bowl activities. The restaurant is so comfortable and the menu is so extensive that it has something for everyone. We have never been disappointed. The hostess' and wait staff are superior. They are always friendly and service is prompted. The atmosphere is relaxed so you don't feel rushed.
a mini Mancinis. American Surf and Turf food., decent but over priced. Excellent drink selections and great service. Much louder than we were hoping it would be but tolerable.
First, we tried the Brusetta, the Rueben Rolls and the Crab Cakes. All three were very good. For lunch we all ordered the Chicken Pot Pie. The flakey crust was excellent as was the inside of the Pie. For dessert we had the 3 Fruit Tart. That was excellent as well. I would recommend everything we had.
I like the place. Chop Salad is spectacular. Great service. Comfortable. The food? Meh. Just OK. For the price I expected an exceptional meal. Didn't get it.
The food here is great. The place isn't much to look at from the outside but wonderful atmosphere , service, and food.
Our first visit. Good food and a high energy spot. Wish that the lights would be a bit lower (very bright in the dining area).
We loved this place - I think it’s a hidden gem! The food was amazing (we had the Ribeye and the Lobster and Shrimp Pot Pie) and the prices were incredible for the quality of food!
Great food and great service. We will definitely return!
