food was great, service was very upbeat, with appropriate timing. Server was well aware that we were returning to the office post lunch. Empathetic and understanding. Very pleased.
My favorite steakhouse in NYC by far. Can’t beat the food quality, service and ambiance.
Always stop at Benjamin’s on our annual trip to New York. Best steak in town!
Best steak and chops in town! Consistently excellent food and service. Genuine steakhouse vibe without the macho. Ribeye and rack of lamb are superb! You won't be disapointed!
Rick was a great waiter. Really enjoyed our experience and food was awesome.
Our server ‘Ricky’ was unbelievable. He was so good, knowledgeable and friendly. He made our whole experience special and we thoroughly appreciate it. He deserves a massive pat on the back
Best steak ever! Sides were wonderful-we had creamless creamed spinach and asparagus. My teenager who would normally never eat spinach loved it! Even the butter for the bread was awesome! Very nice Thanksgiving experience
Perfectly prepared Thanksgiving meal. Great service. Classic.
Great service. Steak and salmon tasty, apps and desserts were great too. We had nice bottle of wine. It was a splurge for us on our anniversary-a little expensive.
Good food, Great wine and
Steak was out of this world, cannot give enough credit to the flavor and staff are beyond amazing
Service was not up to usual Benjamin’s standard. Steaks were also not as good as they had been in past. Large noisy group was seated next to us, making it hard to converse.
The food was great and the waiter was beyond nice. Made us feel very comfortable. I was really glad that I chose this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
A simply wonderful lunch at The Benjamin! Bone-in Rib-Eye was generously portioned, perfectly cooked and easily matches that of any other steakhouse in NYC. Service was swift and attentive but not intrusive. Atmosphere is one of casual elegance without being pretentious. It's a can't miss for both business and convivial dining in Midtown. So glad to see the heart of NYC still beats at The Benjamin -- treat yourself!!
Glad to see restaurants doing well and service was good but too busy too cramped too noisy and too expensive.
G and Andrea the bartenders were amazing
good quality of steak!
The food was amazing, starting with seafood appetizers and having a signature steak for the main. The restaurant was beautiful, decorated for the holidays. The service was great. I will revisit soon.
Amazing! This our second and they were just as amazing as the first time.
John was great. Our experience was very nice.
Great food and terrific service from our waitress.
We ordered steak for two, which was delicious. I ordered a salad before dinner and my wife ordered broccoli with dinner. He had a glass of wine and both shared a tall bottled of still water. The water was amazing. Our waiter was very attentive but was vocal with his opinion about how we want the steak cooked and rolled his eyes when my wife said that she would take the leftover broccoli home. However, I think he was concerned about where to put the broccoli and reluctantly put it on the table. They were so busy all the way to quickly walking through the restaurant. I don’t think he wanted to follow up by leaving it in the kitchen. It wasn’t a time for that. We ordered dessert, each having crème brûlée. The dessert wasn’t served yet when he put the entire bag of leftovers in front of my wife, which was quite tall. She placed it on the floor instead. I really think it had to do with time constraints.
onion soup, caeser salad, steak, brocolli, lobster mac
Excelente servicio y comida
Great meal. Service was excellent
We ordered the steak for 4 and it was perfect. Servers were really fun and attentive. Our table was upstairs and close to the service door so that was the only negative, but it was secluded and so felt private and quiet. Wedge salad has huge chunks of bacon. Highly recommend the onion rings as a side, perfectly lightly battered. Lobster mac and cheese was also a standout. For potatoes, go for the hash browns. Great wine list, recommend the Turnbull for value and quality.
Service was outstanding, the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. The filet was cooked beautifully, truly a work of art.
However, 2 problems while dining here. First, I believe my date and I were profiled when we came in. We’re on the younger side compared to Benjamin’s typical clientele in the 35-65 age range. As a result, they stuck us upstairs next to a table of 8 high schoolers. Why? Because you wouldn’t put 45 year olds next to that table of high schoolers. But 28 year olds? Why not? It was an awful listening experience, which high schooler’s genitalia is bigger than the latest iPhone, and who started doing the fortnite floss dance in someone else’s face. No one should be subject to that, especially when the majority of the floor level seating was still empty when we arrived at 6:30.
The second issue is that my date found a small bug in her salad. It looked like a small, thin, green caterpillar slowly inching its way across the plate.
My date pointed this out to the staff, and the manager came over and apologized profusely. I don’t hold this against them, it happens.
Overall, I would still come back here. It’s not everyday you get stuck next to a table full of high schoolers celebrating a 15th birthday. But I hope they don’t continue profiling their guests.
Overall experience was very good. Was impressed with extensive menu choice for a steakhouse. The steak was our party's choice and it was delicious - very tender and prepared exactly as requested.
Great service. Meals were cooked as requested. Would definitely go back.
Wonderful classic steakhouse. Executing the classic dishes perfectly.
Wow. This place absolutely exceeded expectations. Wine list was outstanding - some great wines and great (hard to come by) vintages.
The steaks were hands down one of the best I’ve had in a very long time.
Service was stellar.
Best steak we have ever had! Great service, super nice.
Wonderful food and service
My group thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the service and the ambiance!!
Excellence in every way. Enjoyed the total experience. Will go back.
The food was just alright. Steak was cooked perfectly but everything lacked seasoning. And their house steak sauce tastes like ketchup/bbq sauce
Great place- love the staff and the team! Always the best time, amazing service and food! Thank you all for always going above and beyond! Wishing you all a blessed Thanksgiving! Thank you Nancy and Family
El rib eye delicioso en su punto! Y el cheescake el mejor de la ciudad
Benjamin and the crew did another amazing job. Jet is hands down the hardest working waiter in town. Had a table for 5 and he guided us through the menu to get a mixture of steak and seafood.
What a great experience. The staff and everyone was excellent and made ever effort to ensure we had a great dining experience. I can’t wait to go back.
