    We were first told the Prix Fixe lunch is M-F only, after I called to confirm 7 days a week. Three of four guests ordered the Prix Fixe, which included an appetizer, main course, vegetable and dessert. One guest ordered a hot soup as an additional side. The hot soup was brought to the table by itself. Then a few minutes later one salad was served. Then several more minutes later the final appetizer, another salad was served. By this time, the hot soup was cold. Three guests ordered filet mignon, two rare and on the advice of the waiter one med rare. All three steaks were served MEDIUM. I sent mine back. The host/maitre d' apologized and deducted one main course from the bill and offered coffee service on the house, along with an after dinner drink. Additionally, he deducted another 20% off the bill. This is the second time I have eaten at this restaurant. BOTH times was a special occasion (ENGAGEMENT celebration and double birthdays). BOTH times the entire experience was a DISASTER. The service was ABOMINABLE as was the over salted, over cooked steaks and the boiled vegetables. The staff was nice enough and attempted to make up for it. But the whole experience was an EMBARRASSMENT! We would have gotten a better meal AND better service had we gone to a run of the mill DINER.

    I have had better steak at outback and a better baked potato at Wendy’s. The salad and wine were decent. Service was good.

    The food was fabulous! The Crabcake appetizer was one of the best I have had and the steaks are unbeliveably delicous! I want to send a special acknowledgement to our waiter Bastri, he made the experience so warm and inviting for us! He was so attentive, personable and accomodating!

    It was my first time at Benjamin Steakhouse and I really enjoyed it. The food is great! The staff are so attentive! Hope to come back.

    Sides were not good (mashed potatoes tasted like ones we get from Fresh Direct). Just not worth the money and better options in the city.
