Benjamin Steakhouse owner Benjamin Prelvukaj and chef Arturo McLeod have combined over 35 years in the steak house business, 20 of those at the famed Peter Luger's in Brooklyn!

Benjamin Steakhouse offers juicy cuts of dry-aged beef-from 36-ounce Porterhouses to juicy, tender Ribeyes and succulent Filet Mignon. My family, friends and I all enjoyed dinner the other evening at Benjamin Steakhouse. I enjoyed a lovely salad followed by Chicken Parmigiana which was delicious. All of my family & friends enjoyed various types of steaks and all enjoyed their dinner coupled with broccoli and asparagus. The restaurant has a warm ambiance and the service is excellent. Benjamin’s Steakhouse was decorated for the holidays which was lovely.
My wife and I went here for the first time. I had the NY Sirloin and she had the Junior Sirloin. My steak was hands down the best steak I have ever had. Hers was also phenomenal. We also got the steak fries which were very good and the creamed spinach for which neither of us particularly cared. Overall, we felt that it a great experience. The atmosphere was outstanding. The place was beautifully decorated for Christmas and it was a very pleasant experience.
Celebrated fathers 67th birthday with party of 15 adults teens and child. Server was amazing and attentive. The food was timed and served accordingly and we had a private area in the restaurant so we could all enjoy our time together. Food is always spot on and delicious.
Overall we enjoyed the evening. Staff was attentive. One waiter spilled some of our wine, which at $145/bottle, was annoying. There were a couple of occasions where the room was too smokie as if the kitchen exhausts were not working. King crab legs were very good.
We'll go back.
By far the best steakhouse I’ve ever had! And I’ve been to a couple top steak houses in NYC. I came for my bday with a few girl friends we had the petite filet mignon, creamed spinach, mash potatoes and French fries as our side. The steak was tender and Flavorful we asked for it medium well, since our religion does not allow us to eat blood. And it was just perfect. I had the creme brûlée, and my sister had a cheesecake. Both very good.
Service outstanding, food delicious. We waited 10 minutes to be seated, clearly overbooked and packed, surprising for a Sunday night even with HVRW. Lobster bisque smooth & flavorful, sirloin top notch, filet mignon melted in mouth, sides very nicely cooked. Nice bottle of Australian red was about half price, good staff recommendation. Carrot cake was moist and tasty. We all agreed we will eat here again.
The food was ok but very salty and nothing exceptional. The service was abrupt and unpleasant. The waiter spilled the ice water at least three times on the table. I did not hear an apology. The interior was nice but that's not enough for nice dinner. I don't think we will be going back.
I think they over charged me. It was myself and son and we ordered off the price fixe menu the 33.92 dinner per person, the only thing I had was a glass of Pinot Grigio and was charged before tax 97.18????
I questioned it when I got home but figured it was too late.
I was expecting so much and was disappointed. This restaurant has such a good reputation. Maybe it was because it was Restaurant Week but the place was extremely crowded and very, very noisy. We needed to yell to hear each other. The food was tasty but nothing exceptional. Again, it was Restaurant Week and I just don't know if the food on the regular menu would be better.
We went for the first week of HV Restaurant Week. Everything was so good that we made a reservation for the second week. Both visits the service was outstanding. But on the second visit my husband's soup was serviced lukewarm and my sirloin steak was inferior. It was medium as opposed to medium rare and had grizelle and fat. It was small as compared to the first visit.
The food and service was good, but inconsistent. My steak was cooked perfectly and rested appropriately. My dates steak was not well rested and the juices ran all over the plate causing it to become medium-well instead of medium. At the beginning of the night the service was very attentive, but as the night progressed it lessened. No one came to check on our meals and it was difficult to get their attention for the check. It seemed if you were not a friend of the staff your service was not as good.
