We were seated next to two tables a children’s birthday party. The adults were just as loud as the children. They were extremely loud. As much as we understood there were celebrations however there was zero consideration for those who were trying to enjoy an expensive dinner. We have frequented this establishment for many years the prices keep increasing while the portion of chicken was extremely small. It was quite obvious. The chef was just walking away from cooking our meal when the waitress asked what ice cream we wanted. Then soon after the check came. We felt rushed. Quality and atmosphere has deteriorated significantly.

This was our first time. Food was over seasoned and over cooked. Chef did not do any of the cool tricks you expect to see when you go to hibachi. The other family sitting with us was also disappointed. Also the up-change for fried rice was wild $14! That should be mentioned when they offer you either white or fried rice. We will not be returning.

We ate in the bar and got the taste of Benihana special for $39, so we didn’t do the hibachi this time. The staff seem confused as to bar service and the entrées and fried rice without the chef did not seem to have quite the same condiments or seasoning. The appetizers were inexplicably, full size and overly large. Overall, a rather strange experience at Benihana.

We’ve been there very many times before. This visit was to introduce a family member we were meeting for the first time. She traveled all the way from Italy! I had made a special request for a more experienced chef so she could get the whole Benihana experience. The BEST. You did not disappoint! Our chef was AMAZING!! Food was delicious as always! We all had a most lovely Father’s Day and our out of town cousin enjoyed herself very much. Thanks again :-)

My wife and I both ordered the filet Migon and fried rice dinner. The food and service were excellent. The staff was friendly and efficient. We thoroughly enjoy our dinner and birthday celebration with another couple. Highly Recommend the Benihana in Wheeling Illinois.

Normally, this is one of our favorite restaurants. However, this time the food was off. The soup was too salty, the salad was not fresh, the rice was overcooked, and the chef had the grill too hot which caused some food to be burnt and overcooked.
