   Torrance: Very good food. The only bad thing I always notice is how filthy the women’s bathrooms are and how bad they smell.

   Very good food and service as usual. I had a Long Island Ice Tea that was unusual tasting and not very good.

   Came for my birthday and used my birthday treat coupon. Food and our chef was great! The bathroom at the Torrance location can use a little TLC like a fresh coat of paint on the door at least.. I think since prices on the entrees went up maybe the coupon can go up to like $35 or $40.

   Worst Benihana ever, we had a booking for 07h30 pm and when we arrive we had to wait for 45 min. Why doing reservation then…! Manager very rude, didn’t even try to apologize. Any way, not going to waste anymore of my time to write about this place. Stay away..!

   Benihana, the classic. I don't have much to say about the food because I think it is pretty well known by many people. As always, I found the food to be tasty and enjoyable. Furthermore, the servers and chefs that tended to our table after we were seated were wonderful too!! The reason I am writing this 1-star review is because of the check-in process that I experienced. For context, at around 4PM-ish on 9/28/2024, I made a reservation for 2 at 7:30 PM on the same day. At the time of making the reservation via OpenTable, there were plenty of reservation openings (I realize now that this may have been the first red flag given how busy the restaurant is). Regardless, at around 7:22 PM, I made contact with the hostess in the front to let her know that I am here for a 7:30 PM reservation. The hostess (per company/management policy I am sure) had the nerve to tell me that despite my reservation, I still need to wait around 30 minutes from the time of check-in in order to be seated. I found this to be wildly inappropriate and unethical. What is the point of a "RESERVATION" system if those who utilize it are not able to be seated around the time they are reserved for? Had I known I would be told to wait 30 minutes to be seated, I could have tried to check-in at 7 PM for my 7:30 PM reservation; however, nowhere on the website nor on the OpenTable reservation system does it mention a disclaimer that a reservation does not mean that I will be seated at this time. I have never, ever made a reservation at any other restaurant only to be told that I need to wait past my reservation time for a table. At that point, Benihana's "reservation" system is more like a glorified online waitlist rather than a true reservation system. I can't help but wonder if this is exclusive to the Torrance Benihana location.

   We brought teenagers from Oregon, one of whom had never been. The food and drink were very good. Our chef did a great job at preparation - one of my favorites ever (and I go here a LOT).

    Sorry for the late feedback. It started off good i took my niece and godson for their first time and when i say by the end of the dinner my niece who birthday it was wasn’t happy it made me upset to the point i had to complain. Everyone at the table got what they ordered except the birthday girl and all she wanted was steamed rice with her meal instead of the fried rice. We informed or waiter which then she gave a smart comment like “i had to take care of my other table” umm we was here first all or food is almost gone and it was just some steamed rice. At this point she came back to our station to asked about dessert mind still no steamed rice for the birthday girl i was feed up at this point so i went to informed a manager about the situation. The funny part she brought the rice out after everyone at the station was done eating and right before they brought out the dessert. She had the nerve to bring out the check like no compensation on my niece birthday food for her negligence and when i told her about the manager waiving my niece food she had an attitude about. If anyone knows me i don’t like to have beef with my waitress but when you disregard a customer inconvenience then it becomes a problem for me. The food was great and the cook was great.
