This was one of the most unpleasant worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. Let me start of by saying that there are some good things but I must be honest and I will not EVER be coming back to any this or any Benihana again, and you should avoid this location 100%. In fact, that I booked at 4:15PM and was still waiting for a chef to come at 5:20PM I would like a refund for the 40 minute beverages we didn’t even finish. Unfortunately, for health reasons I can’t wait any longer. What was supposed to be a celebration? Turned into a waste of time and a bad hunger. I didn’t expect this to be such a long time and had to leave seeing there was no one coming any time soon. Mind you, they offered an appetizer because it was going to be longer and we at that time declined and had to go elsewhere but could not comp my iced tea? Horrible.

Had an 8pm reservation, which meant nothing since we checked in on-time and still had to wait an hour for a table. Then, we sat at the table for at least 30 minutes before we got drinks and another 20 minutes for the cook to come out. We didn’t get served food until after 10pm - we were all obviously starving by that time and miserable. We were told they allow OpenTable to keep making reservations and overbook them, so be prepared to wait for HOURS even if you have a reservation. Then, they asked for any allergies, which we had one with a major gluten allergy and they noted it. But, they still gave him miso soup and he ate half before they grabbed it from him and told him it had gluten and asked if he had an EpiPen! Also, forgot the lobster for the graduate we were celebrating but still charged us for it. Menus were stuck together and peeling, tables old and sticky. Food all over the floor. Overall, will not return or recommend.

Had a reservation and it took 45 minutes to get seated followed by being neglected for another 20 minutes for anyone to take drink orders. Chef Earl was legit but this place is an embarrassment operationally.

Your reservation time will not matter, you will still have to wait as if you did not have one. In this case it was 1 hour. The host and hostess told me that the reservation made on open table just guarantees you a spot in the restaurant not the actual time you selected. I knew Mother’s Day would be a busy day which is why I made a reservation days before but in the end, it did not matter. Once seated (an hour and a half after the reservation) we were quickly pressure to place our orders and our check came out in the middle of the meal as well as to go boxes. The overall experience at this restaurant was terrible. Whether is was open table’s fault or the restaurant’s management I will not know. What I do know is that I will not be visiting this restaurant or use open table in the near future.

We waited over an hour for our reservation. We understand it’s Mother’s Day — would’ve appreciated a phone call so that we weren’t waiting outside for that long. Our server was amazing! Food was great and vibes were top tier. Will def be back

We had an extra guest from overseas, for whom I tried to make contact with the restaurant prior to the reservation. At the door was told no accommodations could be made but saw that accommodations were made for other guest.

Booked a 7:45 pm reservation for my wife’s birthday, and took my family of 5 plus my wife’s parents looking forward to “dinner and a show”. Made reservation two days in advance. Showed up right at 7:45 with our group of 7 and checked in. Was told by the host that “reservations are running about an hour behind, and once at your table it can take up to an hour for the cook to arrive at your table”. After being shocked for a moment I asked for clarification: so you’re saying we can’t expect to be seated for our 7:45 reservation until 8:45? And likely not eat until 9:45?! Yes he said. At 7:45, people with 5:30 reservations were just getting their food now. He mentioned something about “they leave the reservation system open and so we get overbooked”. Guess that’s a management decision, and the consequence was my wife’s disappointment on her birthday as our whole family walked away, and this 1 star review. If going on a Saturday night, expect to eat 2 hrs after your “reservation”. Or do what we did and bail. We found another restaurant with no wait, and were almost done eating there when I got the phone call from Benihana that our table was ready, at 9 pm, 1hr 15 min after our reservation.
