   Your reservation time will not matter, you will still have to wait as if you did not have one. In this case it was 1 hour. The host and hostess told me that the reservation made on open table just guarantees you a spot in the restaurant not the actual time you selected. I knew Mother’s Day would be a busy day which is why I made a reservation days before but in the end, it did not matter. Once seated (an hour and a half after the reservation) we were quickly pressure to place our orders and our check came out in the middle of the meal as well as to go boxes. The overall experience at this restaurant was terrible. Whether is was open table’s fault or the restaurant’s management I will not know. What I do know is that I will not be visiting this restaurant or use open table in the near future.

   We waited over an hour for our reservation. We understand it’s Mother’s Day — would’ve appreciated a phone call so that we weren’t waiting outside for that long. Our server was amazing! Food was great and vibes were top tier. Will def be back

   Booked a 7:45 pm reservation for my wife’s birthday, and took my family of 5 plus my wife’s parents looking forward to “dinner and a show”. Made reservation two days in advance. Showed up right at 7:45 with our group of 7 and checked in. Was told by the host that “reservations are running about an hour behind, and once at your table it can take up to an hour for the cook to arrive at your table”. After being shocked for a moment I asked for clarification: so you’re saying we can’t expect to be seated for our 7:45 reservation until 8:45? And likely not eat until 9:45?! Yes he said. At 7:45, people with 5:30 reservations were just getting their food now. He mentioned something about “they leave the reservation system open and so we get overbooked”. Guess that’s a management decision, and the consequence was my wife’s disappointment on her birthday as our whole family walked away, and this 1 star review. If going on a Saturday night, expect to eat 2 hrs after your “reservation”. Or do what we did and bail. We found another restaurant with no wait, and were almost done eating there when I got the phone call from Benihana that our table was ready, at 9 pm, 1hr 15 min after our reservation.

   The fried calamari was actually not calamari but baby squid. Very oily and taste fishy for $17 not good at all. Chef took a long time to show up. Also 1 server serving 3 tables of minimum 6 people each while other workers were just standing… I think it could do much better

   We didn’t get food until 9:30 pm. And food quality was horrible. We saw the cook mix the eggs with the shell.

    We’ve dined here many times, but this visit was very disappointing. We ordered vegetable tempura at the bar while waiting for our table. It was ready early, so we brought it to the table—only to find a hair in it. When I returned it, the waitress took everyone’s order without me and refused to let me change mine at first, even though soup and salad hadn’t been served yet. She eventually adjusted it, but the service overall was poor. No drink refills, no complimentary ice cream, and missing items like white rice and kids’ ice cream for others at the table. When I calmly spoke to the manager, the waitress came over and started yelling and arguing with me. The manager offered a discount, but for how often we’ve come here, it didn’t feel like enough to make up for the experience. They lost a good, high-tipping customer. We’ll never dine there again.
