Our reservation was for 730pm. Our party arrived at 7:20 and was told to wait by the bar for 10 min. Our table was not not ready at 7:40 and I asked the hostess when our table is going to be ready. She said she forgot and would get a table ready for us. We sat down at 8 pm. We were not happy as we had plans for an event after dinner. Our cook was not entertaining at all. We all thought he was quit miserable and seamed like he did not want to be cooking. The other cooks in the room were putting on a good show as we all tend to watch them instead of ours. We were not told that fried rice was an extra charge at all.
For the price we paid plus being sat late. Not a good experience and very disappointed

We had a groupon for dinner and thought the 25% required tip was ridiculous. Our bill was over $100 ontop of our groupon after drinks and the tip. Not worth the experience.

Preparations were very entertaining and humorous, but food took centre stage with the quality and how great it tasted. The serving portions were generous, not over spiced and every course (of 6 courses) was equally delicious.
This was truly a unique experience that was fun and exceeded expectations.

I was very unhappy with my reservation. It was New Years Eve and my friends and I were very excited to finally go try Benihana. I booked on OpenTable weeks ago. When we walked in I was pleased to say that they accommodated my gluten allergy and have gluten free soy sauce. However, when we sat down we were surprised to find that they have a special New Years Eve menu for $115 a person. I went up to the hostess and asked her if this is the only menu they offered this evening and she said yes. When I made the reservation through OpenTable there was no indiciation of a special menu. I have made countless reservations through OpenTable and when there is a special menu it is listed there so I was surprised and upset. We told the hostess that we wouldn’t be staying for dinner and I asked to speak to the manager. I explained the situation to him and he proceed to blame OpenTable’s lack of ability to post a special menu...we are in 2018 that is just not an excuse. He then said that they tried calling all guests that booked through OpenTable three times to let them know about the special menu....I didn’t get any calls or voicemails. A few days before I even called to confirm that they had the gluten free soy sauce and no one mentioned anything to me. Needless to say we were very disappointed and upset at the responses from the manager. It is your responsibility not OpenTable; if they can’t accommodate your need to put up a special menu then you should find another way.

A group of 4 adults and 1 child attended Benihana on December 30th for my birthday. The vibe was incredible! Our chef was so funny and engaging. I was worried that my 3.5 year old son wouldn’t enjoy the experience but he can’t stop talking about it, especially when our chef made Mickey Mouse out of fried rice! The food is next level! I had the chateaubriand with tiger shrimp and it melted in my mouth! The drinks were delicious and our waitress was so kind. The price you pay for the food is worth it because of the quality and flavour, as well as the experience. The drinks however are a little pricey but very tasty! Cannot wait to come back again soon!

Very casual. Waited 15 min for a booked table. Sat with strangers who were very casually dressed ( gang style) people who spoke no English and unfriendly couple. So we are there for our anniversary and unpleasantly surprised. However to be fair, I had no idea this was the whole idea of this restaurant. For the very high prices I had expected a more refined experience. Neither extraordinary nor plentiful. The food was basic and tasty. The wine menu LIMITED to say the least. Would never go back or recommend without saying ‘do your research ‘.

The staff were very friendly and great service. The meals were expensive. The food was very tasty but we would have preferred fried rice cooked in front of us instead of cooked bean sprouts and steamed rice served on the side.o

Food average at best. Expensive for what you get. Teppanyaki tables are crammed together, it was very uncomfortable. Seats between table and wall had enough room only for a child. Adults would not fit . The chef does nothing special (no special cooking techniques or tricks like one would expect at teppanyaki. Also, a horribly inadequate wine list. 5 bad wines per category. Very disappointing.

The service was quite good and our server and chef were quite attentive. We ate at the cooking table and got a bit of a show but not like it used to be. Lots of food though. Disappointed that only white rice came with the meal and fried rice was extra, but all in all an excellent meal.

I’ve been to other teppanyaki restaurants, and though our chef was a nice guy and cracked some jokes, the show wasn’t as elaborate and exciting as I’ve seen before. The meat was great quality, and the chef great at preparing the food. For the money we paid, $335 with tax and tip for 4 people, only three having had one beer, it’s wasnt worth the money we paid.

Been to this restaurant in the past. Used to be much cozier, not so loud and better all round. Now I found it loud, not much room since Reno’s, and service is not the same. Food was good but we were disappointed. Very expensive for what you get. I used to not mind overpaying when we were happy all round

There was a alcohol fuelled group of businessmen sharing the same area which made dining a little distracting.

Also, this restaurant does not serve wild salmon. I requested no farmed salmon and they do not have an alternative.

We came here for my wife’s birthday and were treated very well. We have three kids who are a handful but the staff was very accommodating. Our waitress (I did not get her name) was very pleasant and Toto our chef was amazing. When our appetizer rolls did not come out, our waitress made every effort to correct the mistake which we were very appreciative of. The free dessert for my wife’s birthday was also very nice. Thank you to all the staff again for the awesome food and great service. We will definitely be back.

This is a pricey restaurant but the food was well prepared, tasty and abundant. It’s great fun to watch the chef-flamboyant techniques. The special fried rice is not all that special and can be declined. Nothing missed there The shrimp and scallop dish was great as was the steak. We joined one other person at the hibachi table and she became a convivial dining acquaintance. I suppose if you’re not into communal dining, this might not be your place to eat. On quiet nights, you might not have to share your space. My wife and I totally enjoyed the experience.

My family and I have been going to Benihana for over 30 years. Many years ago my parents would go once a week. Now we go as often as possible and we are usually 3 generations. There is something for everyone. Most of our celebrations are held there. Sam, the chef , is an institution. He has known our family for years. All the chefs are great.

This was our most dissapointing trip to a Benihana restaurant. One guest at the table allegedly had a mushroom allergy, therefore nobody was offered mushroom until the final dish was served to that diner. No alternative table was even considered, diners were not notified before cooking commenced. And the food was not anywhere near the normal high standard expected of a Benihana. Extremely dissapointing.

Decor poor, ambience poor, it's easy to see why it is having a renovation, let's hope the renovate the chef too!
