Service was very slow and the soup was cold and had no taste. There wasn’t a waitress or waiter in sight to complain about the soup.
My first time at this location and I loved it. Cozy, and the history of this location was special. The staff made us feel right at home
And the chef was amusing and friendly. I will return here again even though the Menlo Lovation is fifteen minutes from my house.
Good food but the service was poor. Did not clear plates, had to remind her to bring 2 ordered items, overcharged others at the table, did not know menu, and forgot it was my birthday.
Good food and always prepared well. Especially the meat quality
I was disappointed in the customer service. Even though we had reservation we had to wait awhile for seating. The chef was very unprofessional. He kept leaving the table and having side bar conversations instead of entertaining the table.
Went for an anniversary dinner. They gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne. I am a pescatarian, and they were kind and thoughtful enough to prepare all of my food in the kitchen. Love Benihana!
My family and I love Benihana and my son opted to go there for his birthday dinner. We had a 6:15 reservation and despite how crowded it was, we were seated by 6:20. The service was very good...waitress was friendly and efficient. The chef was low key, but everything tasted good. My one criticism after years of going here is that there seems to be less food for more money. I remember having plates filled with food and that didn't seem to be the case. There was also an extra charge for fried rice or noodles ($3) which I don't remember having to pay. Other than that, we had an enjoyable dinner.
Benihana is one of my favorite restaurants. I come for my birthday every year. But when I went on a Saturday evening I felt rushed to finish my food , as the other family sitting with us finished early. This was the first time they had done something like this.
Good food. Nice presentation. Would go back again.
Benihana is always "good". Not great. They've toned down the cooking presentation, so its become moderate food, moderate fun & really expensive. Still, its a relatively fun place to go for a family special occassion.
It’s sad because I didn’t want to write negative review. I attempted to speak with a manager who could possibly fix the situation. Everything was decent until check out. The server who we thought we liked chased me and my boyfriend out the restaurant. I thought we shorted the bill. Come to find out she was asking for more money on the tip. I believe the suggested amount was 24 & some change in which we gave her a 20. (Not obligated to tip anything) I was already out the door but she told my bf he owed her another $10 otherwise she would have to pay the bill out of pocket. Not even thinking he gave it to her. I was LIVID! Because I woulda never let that slide and she was so ungrateful and greedy. Those type of frauds shouldn’t be working in customer service. I called the next day to speak with the manager. He wasn’t in and was supposed to call me back that evening. 2 days later and he still hasn’t. I’ll never recommend or go back. It’s sad because I was gonna make her my new bartender and we go out for drinks often! She ruined my whole outlook on the restaurant and it shows that the manager doesn’t care. I should have went to get my refund back that night like I wanted to!
This was my second time at Benihanas and I most definitely will be returning very soon!
Food and entertaiment cheif is what makes the rating. Service and host need to improve but overall great experience.
Went there for lunch with family. Always entertaining and good food with decent price.
Birthday dinner bonanza! Great as always. Thank you!
