Amazing food from a great chef. James is the reason I cinema back.

We have been to Benihana’s many times at many locations. This chef was Roberto and by far the very best we have ever had. Such a pleasure

I was there for my birthday dinner. The wait to be seated and for the chef was too long for a non busy night. Reservations were 8pm we arrived approx 750pm didn’t get seated until 830pm are chef didn’t get to the table until about 930pm he didn’t make enough rice for everyone so one person in my party of 8 didn’t have food to eat.. Overall it was not a good experience.

Reservation at 630, didn't get seated till 650pm. Didn't get salad or soup until 730. Food came at 8:15pm and finally left there at 9pm.

Waitress was very tentative but overall experience was not enjoyable.

CRAMMED at the table with strangers- yes I knew this before attending but when the strangers are all of "larger" build the table does not work.

Awful experience, waited 30 minutes to be sat at our table. Server was super slow, drinks too forever and refills were not existence! Worst bday experience ever, our chef was the only good thing about the visit.

My boyfriend and I don’t come often, but it was our anniversary. We had an amazing time although our chef was kind of boring… there wasn’t a bunch of entertainment as there usually is.

It was a great 30th birthday . Everyone ate and enjoyed the meal !!

Had delicious meal, our chef was Yin and he was amazing. Celebrating a birthday & he when over & above to make it a special dinner & celebration.

The cook and food were great. However the hostess/manager was rude when we arrived and asked questions. She seemed overwhelmed and made a few comments that made us feel like we should have booked reservations elsewhere.

The waitress was so helpful and nice and the cook was so nice and awesome. He was very interactive with my kids and made the food so delicious.

I’ve had good experiences here in the past but this time was different. The place was visibly dirty, including the bathroom, floors, dining room, and cooking station. The server made many mistakes, did not clear dishes, and service was extremely slow. We waited at the table for over 45 minutes for a chef. Food and chef was very good.

I will say the food was amazing but the experience was not the best. I go every year for my birthday and after this year I am not sure I will be back. Waiter dropped our salad & did not clean it up. I ordered the Rocky’s choice and only got 4-5 pieces of chicken. We had to wait 15 minutes for our drinks from the bar. Overall not the experience I expect paying $100+.

Our server was great. She did a great job to make sure we had a great dining experience. Our chef was great, and the food was excellent.

Such a great night to celebrate our birthdays, I love the chain and always know i'll get great service.

Have to get chef James. He is the vest chef I've found and always like him cooking when I go.

Food was good…..Our cook was not engaged with us at all!!!!…..We took our friends that for them was first visit to Benihana and was sad that they didn’t experience the fun we always have…..It took a very long time for us to be served, don’t know what the problem was!!!….

The food was excellent. The show was not as good as some others that I've seen but it was also good. And overall the service was excellent except for the unsmiling hostess at the front door.

Sisters birthday. We were there from 545 pm until 915 pm. Service very Poor food was not so good. James the cook didn’t have a marks fully over nose. It was below nose. He has an old dressing on finger where he cut it. James the server gave poor service, went and helped another table when we were waiting for boxes and ice cream. I go to Benihanas a lot and I’ll NEVER go back to the Scottsdale location. Service was HORRIBLE. All we kept getting told was they are short staffed. That’s not our problem.

I wish the vegetables, squash and onions were cooked more, other than that food is tasty

Our office ate here for our work holiday lunch and it was amazing! Great service, great food!

The tables are set for 8 and they sat 9. Was a little crowded but no big deal! Until it came to the food, we felt that the portion sizes were not that much for the amount we were paying.

First time going out in awhile and Benihana didn’t disappoint. Staff was attentive, chef was engaging and overall we had an enjoyable experience. We will be going back.

We got Chef Kevin, who had a great sense of humor. The food was delicious but we felt it was a little overpriced. We had a lot off fun!

did the standard teppanyaki table. First time for my teenage grandkids. They enjoyed the food and the performance.

The chief didn’t really do anything special like the typical teppanyaki grill. Barely spoke a word besides repeating our orders. Food wasn’t very flavorful they also don’t carry yum yum sauce if your someone who likes that

It was ok the best way to go is in a good size group if not then you sit with other people and it could get weird also the service is sub par at best

NY Eve family dinner. Beverage service was weak coupled with slow food service delivery. Chef was outstanding. Love the concept and the food is tasty. Bathrooms were filthy. Like a McDonalds, sticky floor, no power towels, and in need of a remodel.

We went on New Years Eve and the experience was fantastic!!

Our waitress was amazing. You could tell she is friendly by nature. She took great care of us through out the meal. Our chef was also amazing. He made our experience so much fun

The New York Steak was very tough. Portions much smaller than previous visit.

Service was very good. Friendly host, wait staff and chef. Just need to improve the quality of your meat and return to normal portion size.

Other than having to wait about 30 minutes for the chef to start cooking our order everything was great

It was an hour before a chef came over to begin cooking. An hour is not ideal when you’re with hungry children. The chef, fortunately, was awesome and made it a great experience. But when you have a reservation time and 15 mins go by before you’re seated and the host tells you that your serve just clocked in and it’ll be at least another 10 mins, that’s a huge problem. My time is more valuable, so I’ll likely never be back.

This has become our go to place to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions. The food is always excellent, there is a wide variety on the menu and of course the show that takes place with thee preparation. I love scallops and they know just how to prepare them perfectly, it is an art.

While this wasn’t a terrible experience If it had been my first time I would not go back. I understand the understaffing issues but service was mediocre and our food was not what we are used to from Benihana. We ordered 1 shrimp tempura 1 vegetable tempura 3 Land and Sea (filet and scallops) and 1 filet dinner. We started with tempura which was served to us barely warm. Our onion soup came with no onions for the entire table. Salad was good. Our chef arrived at our table after the salads only to find out that our cooktop had not been turned on so he left and came back maybe 10 min later. The chefs cart was left sitting right next to the lady at the other end of the table the entire time. Once our chef returned the chicken fried rice and shrimp were both prepared well but our next item off the cooktop was scallops. The 3 of us each received 4 scallops. These were not large scallops to make up for the low number. I was actually shocked. We have ordered this meal at least once a month for years so we are familiar with what a normal serving is. Vegetables were prepared as we like but our filets were served in such large pieces that we had to rip them apart with our forks and chop sticks since there are no knives. Overall one of the poorest experiences we have had at Benihana.

The overall experience was great. We had a great dinner and enjoyed ourselves.
