Benihana feels like a destination/event location, not someplace I would go for an ordinary night out. It is quite noisy and tables are communal, so you will be seated with others. The service feels a bit laborious as the server attempts to clarify so many orders simultaneously. Food is abundant and no one was able to finish their meal. We enjoyed sushi and potstickers as starters, and salmon and steak as entrees. The fried rice is especially recommended. My cocktail was not prepared to my liking and the bartender was notably gracious and accommodating about replacing it. Know where you are going and why.

The food was not as good as I remember this place having. The cost for the food provided did not seem like a good deal. However, I see online during certain times there are good deals which makes it even more frustrating to spend more for a mediocre meal. The wait time was quite long for a previously booked reservation. The chef had the energy of someone who's cat just died.

Lunch took 2 hours to be served, The cook was so slow, that the meal was cold when it finally was served. Then, once the meal was almost completely consumed, they brought the rice out. The whole experience was an overpriced nightmare.

I attended for my birthday. No photo was taken and it felt very rushed. I’ve been for other occasions and was disappointed that mine fell short

I've been going to Benihana for special occassions for more than 40 yrs -- first in Beverly Hills, then Hawaii, and most recently in Scottsdale. Unfortunately, the time before this one was very mediocre but I blamed it on just coming out of Covid quarantine and many restuarants not hiring enough staff b/c they didn't know what the level of business would be. This time there is no excuse. Going for my son's 20th bday with a small group, we were seated promptly and had our drink orders taken quickly. Our chef arrived and he was pleasant. We tried giving him the benefit of the doubt -- but there were many probles: 1. me not getting my plain rice while everyone else was already served their fried rice 2. my husband was given someone else in our party's beef selection (he order the chateaubriand) and literally the chef scooped the meat off his plate to the other person 3. my chicken was way overcooked and my mushrooms not cooked at all (i think the chef didn't understand where to place the foods on the grill 4. the timing was seriously off -- the food was served piecemeal and by the time the four of us finished our food the other side just started eating so the waitress asked them if they wanted to-go boxes five minutes after being served 5. the food just really wasnn't that great tasting to be honest. Very meh experience I hate to say for one of my favorite special occasion restaurants. But hey -- at least they had the onion volcano.

Seated at a table full of kids was not our idea of date night. Even when I asked to move us they said they were booked even though there where adult table with only 5 to 6 adults. They still refused to move us. We made the best of it.

Amazing Experience at Benihana! From the moment we walked in, the hospitality at Benihana blew us away. Tony at check-in set the tone with a warm welcome and a great attitude — super friendly and helpful! Our waitress, Roxy, was an absolute gem. So sweet and attentive the entire time, and she made the best sushi rolls we’ve had in a while. Seriously, don’t miss them. Then came the showstopper: Michael, our entree chef. Not only was he incredibly talented, but he also brought so much energy and fun to the table. His cooking was flawless, and you could tell he truly loves what he does. Every dish was delicious, but if you go, do not skip the dumplings — they were next-level good. All in all, a fantastic experience from start to finish. Great food, even better people. Can’t wait to come back!
