This is one of our favorite places to dine and come quite often. Dinner time has become sort of a downer in recent months. Newer staff doesn’t appear to be trained to handle a high volume of customers. Drink orders incorrect or forgotten, bringing items not requested, not knowing when food items are not available when ordering. It’s a little disappointing when you’re treating friends to a nice meal at “your favorite” place and these things happen.
When you're looking for goid Japanese Cuisine & Teppan cooking, you can't do better than Benihana's. Always make a reservation because they are usually totally booked.
We had a great time! They were accommodating to our decrease in guest count at the last minute and welcomed us with smiles. Our chef was interactive and the setting was perfect to celebrate my birthday. Thank you for a great dinner!
The food was just ok, the chef was not very skilled. My kids were looking at other tables watching some of the other chefs doing their tricks. Overall very disappointing for the price I paid.
The scallops were a little tough. I have had them before and they were never this tough, and small
Phenomenal food and amazing service! Great family atmosphere.
You would think that if you make a reservation for dinner weeks in advance for a table at 6:15pm that the you would be seated at approximately 6:15pm. We had to wait 40 minutes before we were seated. Besides that, service was mediocre and the restaurant is NOT clean.
Very fun, delicious food, attentive staff. The only complaint I have is that we made a reservation and we had to wait and wait and wait to be seated. At this point, you should know how long a tableof people is going to be there and adjust your reservation system so people can walk in with a reservation and be seated.
We had a reservation at 7 , we called to say we ran into traffic due to an accident and would be a bit late , we where told if we came after 7:15 we would loose our turn. We got there at 7:19, they said we had to be at the bottom of the waiting list . we waited for another 30 minutes.
The floor is dirty, bathrooms had no toilet paper. food was ok. place needs to be redone and updated with new stuff.
We have been going to this location for years. In excess of 20. You can really see how this location has aged. As with most Tepenyaki, the experience greatly depends on the server, which is hit and miss. We happened to get a miss this time around.
Food was also mediocre this time around. What was truly disappointing was how worn the restaurant looked. With out question this a special occasion place, you really don’t get much for what you pay for. There are several Tepenyaki places in the area, and I think this is the first year I can say they are better
Our server was not the best we've been there a few times and this time wasn't good as the other's
The food was good but the service was terrible. Our waitress pretty much disappeared for most of the dinner. The chef was doing his “show”and dropped the salt shaker which landed on one of my dipping sauces. The sauce went perfectly all over me, my clothes and the table. He handed me a towel, obviously had to keep cooking but no waitress was called to help clean up or even took notice. We were expecting the tepanyaki dining experience and were really disappointed. Don’t think we will return.
Took my kids there for their 22nd and 26th birthday dinner, they loved it.the food was excellent and the entertainment was great , my 2 year old grandson thought the cook was very funny
Food was ok, steak was very good. Good teppan show. Drinks expensive. Ambience is not great, i'd only come with 5 people more. For the price, you can do a lot better.
Great time made my birthday dinner fun for me and my family and the service was excellent and to top it off the pictures so we can have this family Memory for every .
Fried zucchini was not cooked enough, grilled onions had a lot of “skin” portions in them and in previous visits they were cooked and sorted out early in the meal but this time it was when all the other veggies had been eaten toward the end, also he forgot to make the chicken figure prior to making fried rice.
Excellent Service and Food!!
Horrible Service, we had a reservation at 6:30, our entire party was there and we did not get sat until 7:30, we asked what the issue was and was informed that a reservation does not guarantee you a table it only gives them a head count for the evening, after being sat we were not even greeted or offered drinks for another 15 min. The cook was awesome and really tried to turn the experience around! We didnt even walk out of the restaurant until 9:15, that is horrible! I would only return for the food!
On this day the lights in the restroom did not work and there was trash on the counter tops and floors. The over head fab at our table was not working so it was extremely warm. The assistant manager Charlie was not nice. Other than that I normally love this place.
Great food as usual. The grills seemed more smoky than usual and there were a couple of noisy parties but still a good time.
This was my first time at Benihana and we were there to celebrate my birthday. Our chef who advised was fairly new (been there a few months) did an Amazing job - who would’ve known she was new!
She smiled throughout the whole time she cooked for us.
Made some jokes and put in an effort throughout our evening!
She made this dining experience very worthwhile!
The only downside would be the lack of waitresses tending to our dishes that required clearing in a timely manner which didnt give my husband and I enough space to enjoy our meal.
Five stars to our chef for making this a date to remember.
Love love loved it great service quite entertaining incredible bartenders just a very indelible experience
I made reservations for my husbands birthday dinner through open table. We had a 5:45 reservation and didn’t get seated until 6:30. The hostess was rude. There is no place inside the restaurant to wait so we were forced to wait outside where the music speakers were so loud we couldn’t talk. I had to ask 3 times about our table. When we were finally seated the place felt dirty. The menu had liquid and odd bits of food on them. Very smoky in the restaurant. They did not have a cook for us so it took over an additional half hour again waiting for food. The waitress offered us appetizers since we had waited so long. There were 5 of us in our party. My husband & I and 3 of our27-35 year old sons. We all requested an appetizer but the waitress brought out 2 skimpy plates. I asked if we were going to get the other requested plates and she just glared at me. We got a small bowl of edamame. The alcohol was watered down and I was very disappointed with my mai tai. Usually the fancy drinks come with fruit and an umbrella. For $9 I got a very weak drink with a shriveled up cherry. Our cook, Lilly, was very nice and tried hard but she definitely did not measure up to the many other cooks at other Beni Hana restaurants. There was no show or entertainment. The food was adequate but spread out so far that you had one item at a time over 3 hours!!! Imagine eating only onions by them self with out any meat or other vegetables?
We were not finished eating dinner and paying the bill until after 9:30pm. This was the worst experience my family has ever had at a Beni Hana restaurant EVER. The layout of the restaurant is cramped, noisy and dirty. There is no atmosphere- as the building feels like an old Denny’s or Waffle House. There is no waiting area for guests nor were we offered an alternative to just standing in an area about 8’x8’.
My family has always celebrated birthday and other happy occasions at Beni Hana. I think we will think twice about going to this restaurant again.
Been to many Benihana locations. This one ranks at the bottom.
Delicious lunch Eric our chef did a fantastic job. He was fun to watch and funny. He did an excellent job preparing our tables meal very tasty. Hope we get get him again.
Our chef was so fun and the food tasted amazing as usual!
Reservation was 30 minutes delayed. Loud ambiance. Service was slow. Quality of food was very good. Cooking the meal was entertaining but lackluster compared to previous experiences at Benihana. Was kind of disappointed in this restaurant.
We celebrate most family birthdays at Benihana. We always have to wait about 30 minutes beyond our reservation and usually, that is not a problem. However, this time our reservation was for 8:30 so we ordered appetizers for the wait. We were not seated until about 9:15 and the appetizers had not arrived even though we had already paid for them. It was almost 10:30 before our chef arrived. This was a 14th birthday celebration for our granddaughter. Her basketball team had won the championship game earlier in the day and she had planned to join the celebration party a little late, but she wasn't able to go at all since we weren't finished with dinner until after 11:00. We still love Benihana and will continue to visit, but this was by far the least enjoyable visit we have ever had.
We had a 6:30 reservation on March 24 for 8 that was booked in January. We waited over an hour to get our table, then another 45 minutes to get a chef. The wait staff was prompt and friendly. There were several other upset customers. The food was good but the chef was lackluster, he barely interacted with us which is half the fun. The food is completely overpriced which I would get IF it comes with a show, but there was no show. The bathrooms and carpet are filthy, the entry way/bar area is very small. We have made this an annual family dinner for the last 5 years and will not go back next year.
An unfortunate dining experience. We had 6:15 p.m. reservations (7 people) and didn't get seated 20 minutes after our reservation. Which was after a walk-in party of 7 was seated (We walked in at the same time). We received our beverages fairly quickly after we sat down and our dinner order was taken upon the delivery of our beverages. 42 minutes later we are still waiting for dinner to begin. We did approach the manager and he said that we would be next. Well, it turned out that the table next to us was served prior to us, and they were seated 20 minutes after we were. We again approached the manager and he said they were getting our food ready. And oops wrong table was prepped.
We have dined at other Benihanas and have always had good service, meals and fun. This one by far, is the most unorganized store. Too bad, as we were looking forward to celebrating my grandson's 13th birthday and normal go to a Benihana to celebrate our children's birthdays. At least 25 plus years. At this time I would not recommend this site. Corporate should also be given this feedback.
Loved the chef, food was amazing, very fun
It was my birthday and I thought I got a $30 coupon for celebrating my birthday there but it turns out it’s only Monday through Thursday which was not advertised on the coupon I was a little disappointed with that. Overall it was a good experience I had never been to a Benihana before.
Great place to celebrate my husbands and daughters birthday
I was there for my birthday celebration. They sang happy birthday but I was not offered a taken photo opportunity like previous years. My husband & I were disappointed about that. We thought it was a new thing-no photo but we checked with the hostess on the was out & she apologized.
Food was great, but service was poor this time around.
I have been many times, and this was disappointing.
Two hour wait despite reservations.
Although it was extremely busy, we were able to get out favorite chef Poli. He is very entertaining and friendly!
Too crowded. We went on a Sunday for lunch. Noisy and very poor service. I have been going to Benihanas for 35 years and this was my one and only bad experience.
Food and service was great! The restaurant itself was very run down, no decor, generic and the woman's restroom was flooded with toilet water. My first experience at a Benihana was in San Francisco's Japantown. Which made this place looo like a Mc Donald's. I recommend a face lift for sure
Great lunch of hot tea, soup, fried rice, shrimp and veggies
