   Once again, I had a very nice experience, thanks Benihanas. Came to celebrate my birthday with my children and everything was great. We’ve been to other Beni’s. And this one bar far exceeds.

   Service: Main issues revolve around timeliness and friendliness. Arrived 15 minutes before stated reservation to check in, was not greeted and was told to sit down, with attitude, since they would only seat us at our reservation time. The two girls at the front were wasting time, whispering, and wandered throughout the restaurant for no apparent reason. We weren’t acknowledged until 10 minutes past our reservation even though the location had empty grill tables and the people in the front were bored at the desk. When we finally sat, it took 15-20 minutes to get asked about drinks and appetizers, another 15 minutes for our drinks, and 20 minutes for our salad and appetizers. We were greeted by the chef an entire hour after our reservation. The only redeeming quality was the waitress and her kindness throughout the meal. Food: Steak was cooked appropriately but there was consensus with the party who had steak that it wasn’t of the best quality as far as the hibachi steak goes. Shrimp, for those who had the splash n meadow, was stated to be rubbery (undercooked), so it was thrown away. Shrimp wasn’t brought up to the cook because he had left after cleaning by the time it was tasted. Ambiance: The party was seated in the corner of the restaurant facing one other party, and there was a partition blocking the view of the rest of the location, so there wasn’t much of an ambiance to experience. Value: Our party has dined at Benihana locations in California all throughout Orange, San Diego, and LA County, in addition to Hawaii and Nevada locations. This was by far lowest on our list in terms of value of experience. It would’ve been understandable had it been a holiday but this was a 9:30 PM reservation on a Wednesday. We know Benihana won’t make it right and will continue to degrade its trust with the customer.

   Our server and cook both were GREAT! The chef did a great job ensuring that the whole table enjoyed their food. The server made sure that the table was clear of the empty dishes, kept our glasses full and she was always smiling and pleasant

   We have always enjoyed Benihana however in recent years service has gone downhill. We had a 7:15pm reservation and didn’t get a chef until 9pm… other parties who were seated after us were already served and eating. We were told sorry and that there was short staffing. Did not eat until almost 9:30 and that’s with a 7:15pm reservation. The other party seated with us left angry and gave up. We were given a small discount for our wait and inconvenience but it is unacceptable. Our chef and waitress were great but something has to be done with the wait time and staffing or else what’s the point of even having a reservation?

    Not even sure if it’s because it’s a holiday (Memorial Day) but everything was subpar with our experience at this Benihana. We had a reservation but still wasn’t seated until 20 minutes after. The server got our orders wrong, so the chef brought out the wrong things. She left off appetizers so that came out late. The chef barely did any ‘performances’ - our kiddos were so hyped and we had to ask for the fried rice heart or the flicking of the food. To which it was always with the shrimp appetizer, but this guy flicked clumps of hot rice instead. His aim was so bad that only 1 person out of 10 caught it, and the rest were mostly over shot behind us, or landed way in front of us at the table. The food were all overcooked - from the meat, seafood to the veggies. When it was time to settle the bill, we found extra drinks and beverages on there. To fix it all took another 20 minutes. We left at 10pm from our 6:15 reservation!

    Service was extremely slow, Took about 30 minutes to get our soft drinks. Server eventually came over to tell us he was finishing up another table. Once he returned he took our drink and food order. What felt like 10 minutes later returned with our drinks. During dinner need refills Server was no where to be found. Disappointed on how long we were just sitting waiting not being attended too. Always have a good experience it will be awhile before we return

    Hostess and host were rude and hostile because some of our group didn’t show. Refusing to seat us unless we ordered for our guests and who didn’t show making us wait past our reservation time. It was my daughter’s birthday. Bad experience horrible hostess and host

    Service took forever!!! Tempura appetizer was extremely cold and mushy. The chef seem to hate his job and cooked everything at once never cleaning the grill in between, so you got charred burnt tasting food. Everything lacked seasoning. I have been coming to this Benihana since the 90s back when the servers and chefs dressed in traditional attire and were gracious and friendly. Now the sevice at this Benihana continues to decline, it's so disappointing.

    The service was horrible. We had a dinner reservation at 645 , we got seated waited a whole hour before the manager came to tell us he had no chefs to make our food. What was the point in a reservation? Horrible service, will never return to this location.

    The chef was amazing. He was very engaging and inclusive of everyone in the party. Wait time to be seated was long with a reservation. Servers seemed to be spread thin as refills took much longer than usual. Shakes were ordered and arrived 20 minutes later. This location is not what it used to be.

    I'll start with the positive: our chef, Jacob, was amazing! He was entertaining, personable, made sure we had what we needed, and cooked everything to perfection. Now for the issues: 1. We had reservations for 6:00. We would have preferred 6:30, as we had to rush from work to get there on time, but 6:00 was the only time available. So imagine my frustration when we had to wait till 6:45 to get seated. 2. Our server took our drink orders after about 10 minutes, and then failed to bring the drinks. At about 7:15 I inquired about the drinks, and she told me the order had been lost. After giving her our order again, we finally got our drinks around 7:25. Note that between the time we were seated and when we got our drink orders, we weren't even given water. 3. The shrimp appetizer was a joke: two small shrimp cut in two to appear that there were more. 4. Three of the six guests in our party ordered white rice instead of the upcharged fried rice. We had to ask for it because it had not been brought to us by the time the chef was done cooking. At that point we had basically finished our meal. In summary, the food was tasty, our chef was great, but everything else in the process needs major improvement.

    11AM hostess made it felt like she does not want to work that day. Not smiling, not welcoming, not friendly. We almost left because it made us felt like we’re unwelcome but she’s like that to all the guest that arrived and arriving.

    It was Mothers Day so it was very crowded. Got there early to sit in the bar for a drink & allow time. Bartender, Rocky, was very pleasant and helpful. Sat in restaurant at the appropriate time and,as usual, dinner was great.

    Was still nice returning 20 years later for my mothers mothers day treat! Bathrooms in disrepair , graffiti all over paper all over corrosion on all chrome "green". general wear and tear. Lobby and both restrooms need serious overhaul. i had a great time though .Thank you!

    The food is good and healthy and they usually will put on the show, so its great for groups of mixed company that dont want to talk to each other or with kids that need to be entertain. But I find it's too over priced, even with a coupon.... for 2 people. It's a $130 with no alcohol just a lot. I don't know if I want to pay a $130 to eat with a bunch of strangers. Probably don't see myself going back soon
