   Food was excellent!! Service was not great , waiter disappeared didn't come back for quite a while . Chef had to ask for him , chef was incredibly wonderful!!

   We had an excellent chef (Eric) he was interactive and polite. Every time he served a dish he said excuse me. Very polite. When serving rice boles he flipped over to keep rice covered. It was still hot when rest of meal was served.

   Service wasn’t as great as other times I have gone. The chef was a little rude.

   We got there for the time of our reservation & they said we were still going to have to wait 2 HOURS! Unacceptable for Mother’s Day, we had to talk to a manager and then still had to wait 30 mins after our reservation. & when we got sat, waited for another 30 mins before we got help. Terrible experience

   Our reservation was at 245pm, we didn’t get seated until 5:30! Almost 3hrs later, and we got put in the very back were it was ridiculously HOT! Our cook was very friendly and nice but food was bland and did not taste good. Overall I give it a 1 star, I don’t think I will return. For the amount of $$ you’re spending here the service and food should be immaculate.

   The cook was boring didn’t even do anything exciting or entertaining. Food was good but the vibe was bad. Needs more Asian persuasion

   I’ve been overcharged lately on almost every bill. I usually don’t pay much attention to the bill, however, I while ago, we had a party of 8 people. I didn’t review the bill in detail until I got home. I noticed that I was charged for an additional meal and appetizers that we didn’t order. After that, I’ve been reviewing my bill, at least 3 out of 5 times I’ve been overcharged. Yesterday again, I was charged for drinks we didn’t order. It only has happened at the Puente Hills location, I doubt that this is a coincidence or a mistake.

   I recently dined at Benihana, expecting the usual lively experience paired with flavorful teppanyaki, but this visit fell a bit short. While the food was cooked well, it was heavily seasoned—almost overpowering at times, which took away from the natural flavors of the ingredients. The chef was efficient but lacked the interactive energy Benihana is known for. There was little engagement with our table, which made the experience feel rushed and impersonal. Another noticeable miss was the lack of table cleanup at the end of the meal, something that’s typically part of the Benihana standard. It left the dining area looking messy and unfinished, which affected the overall impression. Lastly, for the price point, I expected more attention to detail and better balance in both food and service. It wasn’t a bad experience, but it didn’t live up to the expectations I’ve come to associate with Benihana, especially since it was a birthday and party of 8 spending well above $600

    It has been a long time since eating here. I want to say more than 15 years and I was very disappointed. I made a reservation for 7:30 and did not get my order taken till 8:15. I was with a group of 4 people. Once our chef came, we could barely hear what he was saying. As he was cooking he did not even try to do the “heart” rice or the “ onion volcano” . When placing our order one of us asked for double rice and it was never given to him. He asked the chef for it and the chef ignored him. We were very disappointed.
