Our waitress and cook were excellent plus our kids really enjoyed themselves and the food. We will definitely be returning.
Nice little food outing experience. Manager seem to have an attitude when we arrived but overall everything was ok.
Our chef (Amed, I'm probably wrong on the spelling) was fantastic!!! The last time we visited we weren't crazy about the service or food and really has no intentions on returning. However when I made my reservation I forgot because it was our go-to for a long time. Needless to say, we'll be back.

Food and service was great! Stephanie was the perfect server, She made my daughter’s 10th birthday special.
This was the best experience we have had at the Plymouth Meeting location in YEARS!! Stephanie was our server and she was fantastic!! We didn’t have to wait to get drinks - even from the bar!! She refilled our water before we finished and didn’t have to ask. She was friendly and didn’t complain. The chefs are always wonderful and have never been a problem. I hope this keeps up and others follow Stephanie’s example!!

The place was dirty. The waiter needed us to repeat things and messed stuff up.
Management was courteous and helpful but having made a reservation weeks in advance it was frustrating to need to wait for our table in a restaurant that was not very busy.
We had 7pm reservations for my Mother’s 74th. She owned a bar and restaurant supply company in San Diego years ago and one of her clients was Benihana including Working with Rocky there and helping to get him items to his restaurant in Mexico. We had been to this location a few years ago and expected a great time. Showed up 6:40, were told we were there ‘way too early’. Got seated at 7:15, received 1st beverage at 7:40pm. Chef was great, food was great. My Mom wanted Plum wine for dessert and we waited 15 minutes after our meal because it needed to be chilled? Left around 9:30pm.
Disappointed with overall experience. Have also gone to the Orlando one for my Mom’s birthday. Not sure will be going back to any.
Every thing was nice good drinks service was friendly and the chief had my grandkids entertained when he cook the food. My 6 year old granddaughter said she want be a chief when she grow up.
My family and I are frequent customers it’s my children favorite restaurant but the food was not good Sunday I was very disappointed 😞

We waited 25 minutes just to get our drink order. Once our food orders were taken, we felt very rushed. Service really went downhill!! We won’t be back!
celebrated my 30th birthday. Our server was super nice and we were patient with him but he would forget a lot of the things we would order. Never received our to go soup we asked for twice. We asked for cold sake and it was served almost boiling hot (steam visibly seen as its being poured) Strawberry margarita came with no strawberry. I was denied a lychee martini when i’ve ordered one in a previous visit. The list goes on.
This place is horrible! I made reservations for 7:15. The women sat us and that was the end of that. They totally forgot about us. No one came over. I asked another waiter to help she said I got you. She never came back then I went to the host stand and asked for help. She walked over and look then walked away. At 8:15 we walked back up to the host stand to leave and seen the manager. He shrugged us off like it was our fault that no one came over. He didn’t care at all that we waited for no service!
This place is filthy and terrible service. The manager is a joke! Needless to say I will never go back there again!

Horrible chef, communication was horrible, tricks were horrible. We didn’t expect too much and gave grace bc of covid but our chef definitely needed more training.
They were not a variety of foods that were vegetables. Our cook kept forgetting things and went back and forth to the kitchen
Too much went wrong to know where to begin. I’ll just say that it took an hour to start seeing food and 3 couples (from different tables) left before getting served, vocally complaining as they left about the atmosphere, professionalism of staff or the overall experience.
Our chef was entertaining but the timing of serving the food was off. Our server was not good at all. Slow with refills and never checked in on our table.

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at this location and I will not be returning there was guest that was shaking their butts at their table yelling screaming being totally loud and obnoxious I was left waiting in the waiting area for 15 minutes to sit at the table and 20 more minutes for someone to take our drink order honestly I could go on and on but I had Frye worst experience and I will not be returning and from what I was told customers run out on the bill all the time at that location PLEASE EITHER HIRE STAFF WITH COMMON SENSE OR CLOSE THIS LOCATION
Food is always delicious. Service is still terrible! Takes FOREVER to get drinks from the bar - so much so we’ve learned to put in for a second round whenever our first round arrives. Still no guarantee we will get it by the time we finish our first! This last time, we were never given our soup & salad. We don’t have these issues at other locations. Keep hoping one day it will improve.
Overall everything was okay! I was sitting under an air vent so I was freezing but at least I knew the air was circulating and not stagnant! It was our server’s first day so it was a little slower than normal. Overall, it was an enjoyable night.

I went with my friends for a small birthday celebration. The chef was and waitress were so nice and accommodating. It was a great experience!
I can’t even put into words how horrible this experience was. My husband and I traveled over an hour to eat sushi for our anniversary because all of the sushi places near us were take-out only. We waited over an hour for our sushi, long, long after our hibachi was done and eaten. The sushi they gave was not even close to what we ordered. Sashimi was seated on each side and cut up! Spicy salmon was a piece of salmon rolled in rice with hot sauce on top... literally. Worst sushi ever!!!! The server was very nice and the manager tried her best, but we will never be back. EVER!
Took 45 min to get a drink. Chef broke a bowl over the food while cooking. And the topper was when the busser was clearing the table spilled ginger sauce all over my leg. Worst experience ever.

We didn't even eat there. Hostess forgot about us and was surprised we weren't seated yet. After seated we waited 20 minutes and saw a server go over to a table that arrived after us. I sent a message to them on their website contact form but never heard anything back. Benihana in Plymouth Meeting use to be good but just went way downhill and after this disappointing experience we have no interest in going back again.

Dinner was fantastic but expensive! We would do lunch next time. Fried rice is extra. All the food is great. I had chicken and shrimp and my spouse had steak and scallops. The order of the food is weird. Like I had my shrimp way before my chicken. I had to eat them or they would have been cold. Also, you get your rice towards the end too. Otherwise, a fun, delicious meal and night out!
Very dirty. You can see streaks on the glass. Our booth was filthy, you can tell it wasn’t cleaned well before we were seated. Crayon markings on the wall in our booth too. Bathroom floors were sticky to walk on and trash was overflowing onto the floor. Dinner menu is the only option on weekends and it was extremely over priced for the portion and quality. Would not go out of my way to visit here again. Plenty of other hibachi places near me that are much nicer, cleaner and offer better quality food.
