We had a reservation at 7:15 for 2 on a Sunday evening and reached there at 7:05. They initially said a 30 min wait, which then got another 30 mins and so on at the end of which we sat down at 9PM. Our waitress was rude however the chef was great. We finally ended up paying the check and leaving around 10:10, which cost us 3 hours of our time.

They try to optimize the seating to make up groups of 10 so if your party is not one of those building blocks you just keep waiting and waiting. I don't think i'll be back even though i used to love the place

We made reservations weeks ago for a Sunday evening at 5:15. We arrived a little after 5 and were still not seated by 6. When asked at 5:40 how much longer it would be, we were rudely told ‘when a table is ready.’ This was to be a nice dinner for my dads birthday and we ended up leaving. During the long wait, no one said we’re sorry - we were called once saying we are just really behind. It was so disappointing. We also noticed that people say for a long time with no server. When we left they simply said ‘okay no problem.’ Like it was our decision!! So incredibly frustrating. Never going back.

We didn't get seated until over an hour after our OpenTable reservation time, we were told that the reservation systems was broke and kept taking reservations when there weren't any available, but no one tried to contact us to let us know of the problem.

We had a reservation for a large party- called to confirm we were all set the day before. Manager confirmed everything. We showed up Saturday night to a lobby overflowing with angry people who had reservations an hour before us and had yet to be seated. Bathrooms were backed up and not working. The manager basically told us there was no way they could honor our reservation...which was confirmed! So our large party who were excited to be together for the evening ended up in all different restaurants. Very poorly run location-do not recommend it.

We were down for a soccer tournament and had booked 4 tables of 8 way in advance of our trip. I called the night before our trip and they confirmed all 4 tables and communicated we would be seated together. When we arrived, the place was packed and the reservations one hour ahead of us had not even been seated, the bathroom apparently was back up, and the place was a disaster. All 32 of our group had to find other accommodations which was a real disappointment. There has been no follow up communication from Benihana and from what I experienced, the management team at this restaurant is incompetent. Would NEVER recommended this restaurant to anyone, ever.

We had a 6.30 reservation and got seat at 7.45pm. It was a clusterfuck there and the manager did not even apologise for the long wait. Food was great but they need to get their acts together😡

We had a 630 appt and got to the door and saw the lne to the host desk was out the door. All you heard from other patrons were complaints about people already past their reservation time slot....30 to 40 mins. When we go to the desk the gentleman in the red shirt and tie said 15 to 20 mins. We asked him to please give an honest answer because we had overheard several people say they have been waiting nearly 40 mins. He promised 15 to 20 mins. That being said it was now approaching 40 mins into our wait and we went back to the host stand where a lady with curly black hair snapped at a few people stating we were causing issues by asking for updates (she should not be allowed to be a face for this business with an attitude like hers) luckily there was a nice african American gentleman (thanks to him) was honest and helpful w us and told us that everyone was an hour behind because the large parties and being doubled booked. We sat by 735, got a server by 747 and the cook came over a little after 8.

Needless to say we were not out of there by 930 for a 630 reservation.

This was our one night out as we get them so infrequently as we are parents to young children and it was ruined. Only reason we did not leave was because it was Valentine's weekend and getting in, anywhere halfway decent would be impossible.

Everything else was good servers, cooks, food but the waiting and feedback from the majority of the hosting staff was ridiculous.

Even though we had a reservation, when we got to the restaurant we had to wait over an hour to get seated. Worst of all, when I opened the OpenTable app, it showed they had space for reservations. There was no way anyone else was going to get in. We will never do this again.

had A 6pm reservation that’s was never for filled I waited with my pregnant wife At the bar for 2 and a half hours , so we decided to order to go and that was an additional 35 minutes this was the worst dinning experience I’ve had in a long time reservations are pointless at this place , staff had very bad attitudes

Checked in with entire party of 5 at 5:50 for Saturday 6PM reservation, seated at 7PM!!! Drinks came 30 minutes later. Food was average, not a great value, service extremely slow for things like forks for salads, drink replens, etc. Men's room had no TP or paper towels. Our bill was wrong twice, so we couldn't even leave when we wanted! After many visits to the Benihana in Pennsauken NJ that were great, we were so disappointed that we will not be returning here.

Worst dining experience I’ve had in years. We waited half an hour over our reservation time, and when we were finally seated, no waitress came. We waited over 20 minutes before someone came to take our drink order, and that was only after I chased someone down to help us. The waitress hardly came back to check on us. I will never return to this restaurant.

Stay away. We never had waiter/waitress service. Took 2.5 hours people standing all over the place, took an hour for chef. Prepared the parts of the meal in no specific order. Got mushrooms last and no refills cause no watered/waitress service battled way to front desk and they came over to get refills.

My reservation was for 8:45pm , we got there 8:30pm , they tell us a 45min wait on top of reservation, didn’t get seated to 9:40 pm & our waitress was horrible! Than the cook come over to start dinner at about 10:00pm & the host that seated us didn’t turn our grill on so we had to wait another 15-20 mins until the grill heated up , overall the service was horrible , the restaurant over booked for Valentine’s Day it should be a cut of time to stop taking reservations if you cannot seat people at the time the reserve.

As always, wonderful food, nicely and stylishly prepared. Our 7:30 reservation wasn't honored until 8:15. A complimentary glass of wine or hor d'oeuvres would've gone a long way to soothe feelings. The crush of patrons was poorly handled.

Arrived on time for reservation at 7:30. I was told there was a 15 min wait to be seated. We waited 50 mins before we decided to leave. Had we not left, we probably would've still been waiting to be seated for another 30 mins. Honestly, fifty mins + was way too long to wait for our reservation to be honored. The whole purpose of making reservations was to NOT HAVE TO WAIT and be seated right away, DUH !! So, we waited forever to NEVER BE SEATED, my children were hungry, and we never ate AND FINALLY DECIDED TO LEAVE !! This entire experience was unacceptable and disappointing !! Not one host/hostess explained why the wait was so long or what exactly was happening. Yes, I understand that at times the place can get busy, but that shouldn't fall on the customers to starve and to not be communicated with. Maybe they shouldn't have such a small window between each time of reservations (every 15 mins on Opentable) in order to minimize falling behind. Although it may happen at times, 50 MINS OR LONGER IS JUST WAY TOO MUCH TIME FOR ANYONE TO WAIT ANYWHERE FOR ANY RESERVATION .. Then Benihana reports to Opentable that we never arrived for our reservation when we did and FINALLY decided to leave after waiting 50 mins. This is not our first time at Benihana but it would've been our first time a this Benihana location. We never had a problem before. Not sure if I'd return ..

My fiancé and I went to Benihana for our Valentines dinner and it was our first time going. We drove over an hour to get there, but we were not disappointed! Mike and Linna took excellent care of us. The food was DELICIOUS 😍 We did not have to wait long at all We have already started planning on when we are coming back. 10/10 would recommend.

We were a little disappointed with the slow service down the quality of the food. I’ve been to lots of hibachi restaurants and this was my least favorite experience. I realize it was Valentine’s Day and they were a little busy.

The food was good, but very overpriced. It took between 45 minutes to an hour before the chef came out. Prior to that it took nearly 20 minutes until the soup came out and another 15 or so for the salad. My dumplings did not come out until the salad and they were barely warm. The seats were rickety/wobbly and we were practically banging knees prior to us moving some chairs out of the way (chairs that they were going to sit two other people at).

We had a 7:30 rezzy and arrived 15 min early. There was a HUGE wait about 7 groups. The group standing next to us had a 6:45 reservation and still hadn’t been seated. Poor hostesses we’re doing the best they could but seemed frazzled. We ended up going to the bar and grabbing a table. When we finally sat down the service and food was good.

We had a 7:15 reservation through Open Table. They did not seat us until 8pm. A server did not come over to get our drink order until 8:20pm. Once they finally took our order, everything else was great but we did not leave the restaurant until 9:45pm. We had young kids at home with a sitter so this was super inconvenient and not a good experience. The restaurant did not offer anything to make up for the hour and 20 minutes we waited, even though we had a reservation.

We were seated in a timely manner because of our reservation but it was extremely crowded. We had to walk through a crowded bar area to get to our seats. We had to wait for 20 minutes just for our drink order to be delivered to us. We only got water and one cocktail! The portion control was really poor. We paid for $40 entree and the amount paid for wasn’t worth it. I asked for just fried rice with no chicken because i don’t eat meat and the waiter still charged me $4.20 for chicken fried rice after multiple times saying i don’t eat meat. Not worth going back

I made the reservation for my mother-in-law and my two children. They had to wait over an hour for a 7pm reservation and then had to wait again at the table for a chef to appear. They were repeatedly ignored by waitresses and my daughter even approached the manager. The food was delicious but overall the service was terrible. We live minutes from Benihana and at 10pm I was worried about them since they weren't home yet. This is not acceptable.

Overall, food & service was great however the reservation seating time needs vast improvement. My party of 6 arrived 15 minutes early for a 6:15 reservation. We were not sat until 6:50 - 35 minutes late!

We hadn't been to a Benihana in quite a while. In fact, they had changed the menu (added items) since the last time my wife and I had been there.
The food was good, as usual. The service was good, also as usual. We usually go to restaurant in Chery Hill and this was the first time we have gone to Plymouth Mtng.
The one complaint that I have is the it was very chilly where we were seated. So much in fact that the food that was cooked which usually stays hot while you eat it was getting cold before you could get to it all. One other thing is that the chair that we were given had to be changed.
Very rickety. Almost to the point of breaking. So I had to walk to another table to recover one that was better. Other than that, I would go back again.
