We went for my birthday and had a great time. Everything was perfect and fun!
My family and I have dined at Benihana's on many occasions. This was a first on how efficient to when the orders were taken and the food was prepared and served. In the past, there was somewhat of a delay throughout the entire dining experience which made for a long night. Our food was excellent and the chef was awesome....some chefs need a little more personality.
We went for our daughter 18th birthday. Had a wonderful time. But it was beyond smoky, not enough of the exhaust vents were being used.
I ordered 2 meals. It was my birthday. I ordered the 2-lobster meal and Rocky’s Choice. Both are 5 and 6 course meals. I didn’t receive but one serving of the side items which should have been double servings because they are two meals. Our chef wasn’t friendly. He didn’t attempt any tricks or small talk. But our female waitress was really great and sang the birthday song to me.
Amazing as always. I have never had a bad experience at Benihana. Wish we had one in South Africa.
Love love love! Best hibachi in DFW.
We love to dine there abs especially celebrate special occasions!
Benihana is always delicious food, that is never in question. We had a 4:30 reservation through Open Table and our order wasn't taken until 5:15pm. Very frustrating to wait around so long despite a reservation. Once they did serve us, wait staff was friendly and efficient. The restaurant as a whole was very crowded for a global pandemic. You would think they would scatter the tables a bit more given the current situation but I understand less people means less profits. I just won't be going back anytime soon.
It was my first time visiting the restaurant. The service and food was great. I’m glad we made reservations because there was a long wait time for others.
Not the best cut of beef. I ordered the filet and it was too tough.
Food was really good, would like to see more sauces, appetizers were cold so they were not good. Our waitress was nice but really slow, we did not get asked about a 2nd drink. We were there for a celebration, the couple at the end was also there to celebrate, their anniversary. We told them when we check in, the waitress asked and we told them again but no celebration at all.. This is why we came that night, to celebrate our son. For 3 ppl, 169.00 and no celebration will make us think before we come there again. it was not busy, it was Wednesday at 5:15, no reason for the slow services, cold apps, and no celebration..
Restaurant atmosphere was awesome. Food and service were great!
Our server was nice at times but really all over the place. He was way too abrasive. He kept interrupting the mother sitting on the other side of our table as she was trying to order for her kid. He kept putting his hand up in her face and telling her to shush and make the kid order for themselves. I get he’s trying to be funny and what not but it was too much. He did it several times and it made me and my guest seriously uncomfortable, not to mention the other family.
At the end of the meal he piled all the other people’s dishes directly in front of me (from other parties) as high of a stack as he could with sauces spilling everywhere. He took everyone’s used silverware and literally left them all directly in front of me for the rest of the time we were there. I used to work in the restaurant industry for years and I would NEVER do that, let alone DURING A PANDEMIC. How is that being extra sanitary during COVID-19? Absolutely disgusting. It was a mess of an experience. Not what Benihana used to be at all.
Wr had the best server. She made my Bi a wonderful experience.
Staff was very sweet and paid very close attention to our food allergies.
Always a good time
this place was awesome for my birthday! the service was outstanding, i wish i knew names, so funny and engaging! the food incredible!
Enjoyed a birthday celebration Benihana and it was very nice. Food was good as always and the service was fantastic. They do need to update their hibachi presentation, all of it I've seen 10x over.
Chef was entertaining. Restaurant abiding by Covid rules. Food was cooked to perfection.
Benihana is a delicious place! The chefs are very nice and servers are super sweet. This restaurant deserves a 5 star rating.
The food was great! Service was great as well!! I will definitely be coming back.
The food had so much garlic that it was not good at all. Besides that the cooker and server were excellent. If I ever went again would request butter without garlic.
The experience was as expected. With a reservation we were seated quickly. Friendly service. The food was tasty.
We were a party of 8 for a 10th bday celebration. The birthday boy had never been, and was just in awe. The food and service were great, and a fun time was had by all. COVID precautions were in place, and we had a safe and comfortable experience.
Waitress was great but the chef was not good and he touched some nasty duck in his hat it turned my stomach.
Horrible service and poor management. The hibachi chef cooked out meal in like 10 mins, it was a waste of $ for a special event.
We were celebrating my niece's 21st birthday. Their staff was nice enough to take a picture of us and gave it to my niece in framed. The cook as well as the servers were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and plenty. The only complaint I have, with a party of four I thought we would not share a table with other guest given COVID and the current rise in cases.
The food tasted great! However, we were there for my daughters 12th birthday party with her friends and the chef did not do all the “tricks” and the one or two he did were half-hearted. We’ve been to Benihana many times and know what to expect and the “show” is what makes it fun. Most disappointingly, we were there for a birthday and they didn’t sing, do a special ice cream, picture or anything. Other people in the restaurant had birthdays and they celebrated them but seemed to forget about us (they asked a time or two who was the bday girl so they knew we were doing a bday).
Great food and fun! Entertaining staff!
Chef seemed inexperienced. Identified that daughter had a citrus allergy and the chef put lemon all over her shrimp entree. Dessert wasn't offered for the kids who were bummed. Server did not take order correctly and chef did not check order with us for temperature of steak, etc. All in all not a great experience that we are used to from other Benihanas.
The only issue was that they gave our table away to another group. Then said we did not have a reservation which was not true since I confirmed on Friday the reservation.
Enjoyed my experience, food was good!
We went to celebrate a family members birthday. Everything was delicious and the staff was wonderful. The only thing that was slightly off putting was the lights. Our dinner reservation was at 7pm we were seated about 7:15pm and the lights were all the way up. Most hibachi places for dinner are dimmed so you are connected with your chef and it feels like a personable dining experience. It was kind of strange to look across the restaurant to see everyone’s personal experience. Maybe this was due to COVID maybe they forgot to dim the lights...
Customer service, food and the vibe was great. I will visit again
We made a reservation for 8pm but had to wait to be seated. Servers were pleasant, helpful and friendly. Cook was entertaining and food was tasty.
My wife's Filet Mignon was very veiny and some areas tough.
I wish I could remember my chef's name, because he was fabulous. Service was friendly and attentive. This branch can be hit or miss, but lately, it has been "hit" many times more than miss. I hope it continues.
Great food as always. The service was a lil below my standard for Benihana. My boyfriend ordered sushi and didn’t get it until we got the check and we had to ask about it. I had to ask for the steamed rice I ordered. The waitress was just a lil ditzy and very quiet. And in a loud restaurant, that is difficult.
The staff was very polite but our cook wasn’t as skilled as the ones I’ve had in the past, he made a lot of mistakes and second third and fourth tries at some tricks, it was a little bit of a bummer. It was very smoky inside of the restaurant itself, it seemed as if the cook top vents may not have been turned on, there were a lot of coughing diners because of that, which is concerning during Covid. The restaurant was clean, but the bathroom was disgusting, I had mentioned it to the hostess, but when I used the restroom again at the end of the meal, it still hadn’t been clean. I’ve been to several Benihana’s around the country and this wasn’t a horrible experience, but it was definitely the worst experience I’ve had at a Benihana, so I wouldn’t recommend this particular location, but I’ll definitely be back to a different one. The food was delicious though.
