Cook was excelkent. This was our 70 th visit in 35 years.Worst of all. SERVER JOE WAS TERRIBLE.TABLE WAS DIRTY WHEN WE SAT, FLOORS WERE DIRTY.We had 2 other families at table, there 1st time, said they would never go back.Salads didn't come until after cook had started. 20 minutes between soup and salad.Hope this hasn't become the norm.
We were there over 3 hours total. Our waiter was barely around. Didn't refill drinks and took about an hour and a half to get a chef.
I made the mothers day reservation weeks in advance. The food and service was very poor. They were great in the past but no longer. We used to eat there several times a month. We will not be going back. The chief ruined the food. All we could taste was salt and greases. The service was slow they forgot to bring our drinks. I should have stayed home.
Our server had a super thick accent and you could barely understand her and she talked super fast and we had to ask for a manager to come over to explain the menu and such to us since no one at our tables which were two families knew what she said
Waiter did not take the correct order and chefs kitchen utensils where thrown by accident at my family member sitting down next to me which i have on video he could of gotten hurt.
Had a 4:15 reservation and wasn’t seated until 5:10! Too long a wait.
I will like for future new customer to be explained the menu in detailed. Since you can continue adding without knowing the price and ending paying an expensive check
Overall not worth the money, very overpriced. Small portions, not that great of flavor. I was so excited to try Benihana because we always go to Kobe but unfortunately, Kobe steakhouse is much better. Took about 20 minutes to get seated after our reservation time, then took another 45 minutes once we were seated to even get soup or salad. I had never heard of the meal not coming with fried rice and noodles.. well now I have. Up charge for fried rice and no noodles included. This is not true hibachi. Ordered an appetizer right when we were seated and didn’t receive it until the chef was about to cook for us. Very poor experience. The chef RAFI was amazing! Very personable and friendly other than that I was not impressed and will not be returning.
Worst Benihanna restaurant and I have been to a few. We waited over an hour not to be seated but for a Chef. It was obvious it was his first day. No food was taste less rice was crunchy. I am perfectly ok with this being his first day. Here is my issue. He cleaned the grill before ge started to cook. It was still dirty from the use before. The table next to us got up and i watched as they cleaned the table. They left food all over and proceed to put down a new place setting. I took pictures and will be sending to Corporate office. Do not eat at this restaurant.
The Food and Service was, as usual, Outstanding. Both Louis and Trevor did their jobs extremely well. I noticed a steep rise in the prices. Our dinner that is our "usual" rose from $92.00 to over $120.00. Same exact selections. My wife and I are very predictable! Food and Beverage prices have risen. Despite the cost, we will continue to enjoy the Benihana experience going forward. Nobody does it better! JF
It was like I didn’t make a reservation….reservation was for 6:15, our party was seated at 7:15 and the chef began making our dinner just before 8:15. Very disappointing considering we celebrated 2 birthdays at our table.
We weren’t seated until 45 minutes after our reservation. We then waited another 45 minutes to actually have food cooked for us.
We had the hibachi dinner and it was very average at best. We had filet mignon and to upgrade from white rice to fried rice cost us 5$ - 42$ per person. The vegetables were some fried onions and few pieces of zucchini. Overall, small portions, no show, high prices for mediocre food. I wish we didn’t trust the reviews before going. Very disappointed.
The food was good when i got it. I had bad service i got my food 2 hours after i ordered
We had a reservation for 7:30, ended being seated at 8:05. First server appeared at the table (because we insisted several times) at 8:25 and a very kind server from other table had to take over our table as they did not have enough personnel. At the end she gave a good service to our party.
Covid protocols not in place in my opinion: very encolsed space with scarse ventilation, tables very close to each other (they have the hibachi), but they are using all of them as regularly, face mask barely enforced (manager didnt wear one, he just had a face shield).
Our chef in the Hibachi was nice and food was not great, but ok. An example: filet mignon on the hibachi was very hard and chewy, eventhough it was cooked at the correct temperature (medium).
Anyway, we expected more from a nice chain as the Benihana.
We would not go back again at least in the short term to this location...
We arrived at 7:15 with a 7:30 reservation for two people. We asked at 7:45 how much longer it would be and we were told 15-20 more minutes as there were other parties of 7-9 people who also had 7:30 reservations somehow, so we went to the bar to eat. At 8:15 we were told our table was ready as we were already 3/4 of the way through our meal at the bar. The food itself was unimpressive compared to the many other high end hibachi places we have been. Overall, we will not return to Benihana nor would we recommend this location to other people as it seems like based on other reviews they have issues managing their reservations.
We had a delicious meal. My filet was cooked well done & yet it was still flavorful & tender. We have always eaten in the area where they cook in front of you. This time we ate in the dining only area & enjoyed the food just as much.
We had very attentive service staff members.
An absolutely awful experience!!! Waited an hour and twenty minutes for salad. Rice was done 45 minutes ahead of food and ice cold. Also chewy. The chef was inexperienced or a line cook pulled from the kitchen. Did not prepare the food the way it normally is at Benihana. None of the showmanship the chefs normally have. Had to keep referencing the orders and seemed confused by what he was preparing. Yum Yum sauce was thick and appeared spoiled. The restaurant was filthy and we had to ask the chef to clean the grill because there were crumbs on it. Other guests at the table did not eat red meat and he cooked it right on the same section of the grill with the same contaminated spatula. We were celebrating a birthday and it was never acknowledged. Dessert wasn’t even offered to the table. We had a reservation for 9:30 and did not receive our check until 12:30 am. Tried to find a manager multiple times and he was nowhere to be found. I frequently eat at Benihana at home in Cleveland and after this terrible experience I will never eat at another Benihana again!
Good food, friendly staff. A bit over priced but I guess it’s the location.
Our Chef was awesome. Food was great! I can wait until the next visit.
We got a last minute reservation and got seated quickly with only one other party.
The pros: The food was great and you get a lot of food. We got in at a not busy time so the noise level wasn’t bad.
The cons: You have to pay $5 extra for fried rice vs steamed rice. It does have chicken added into it, but still was unexpected. The show element was not great, but our chef was either new or “rusty” as he said and so I’m not sure if that was just because of his lack of skill. We also had to really glad down our server for a few things and it wasn’t a busy time.
We would definitely go back, because the food was good and it was a great location.
Food was great. Chef must be new , dropped tools a lot , forgot eggs on rice, forgot mushrooms sitting right in front of him and had no real show. That’s why you go to a place like this .
We had a great time there. By far the best Benihana I’ve ever been to. The cook Damion was amazing as well as the manager was very kind to our family
We were visiting from
Michigan our service was horrible. Had to ask server for water refills multiple times. My Reservation was at 4:30 got seated fairly quickly but our chef did not arrive until 5:42. We had a vegetarian at our table the chef knew that he read us back all or orders and still proceeded to put chicken in all of the rice when she and her daughter asked for veggie rice then after she told him he tried to remove the chicken. As if she would eat it then.
A Table that came in after we had our rice made and served their chef finished cooking before ours even fished our steak we did not leave the restaurant until 7:45 and it ruined our evening plans. We would of been there later if i didn’t talk to a manager and ask for my bill . Highly disappointed
This location is in a hotel- not a stand alone building therefore it feels like your in a hotel lobby (older). Stained drop ceiling and dirty carpets. The food was very good but we had to wait an additional 40 minutes despite having a reservation. The kids still thoroughly enjoyed but the adults were underwhelmed.
Excellent food. A little pricey and a little noisy but worth it.
Once we were seated everything was ok, although slower than usual. We were called within 5 minutes of our reservation time.... but the group they called us with to put at the same table had another person they hadn't reserved and they seated them and told us to go back and wait. We had then lost our waiting seats and waited at least another 45 minutes (so 50 minutes later than our reservation) just to be seated. I understand what happened, but it was very disappointing the way it was handled.
Our chef was constantly dropping the utensils when he was trying to entertain. One of the eggs he was using almost fell off cooktop. He was sweating profusely. No fire tricks till he was done and only because we asked for the kids sake. None of us received our meals at the same time. He minced up the shrimp into tiny pieces and then over cooked them. We had to tell him to stop cooking our medium rare steak - which he still overcooked. And on top of all this he cut his finger with knife and just kept putting clear plastic gloves on to cover as blood was pouring down finger until we insisted he stop and go get it properly tended to!
Needless to say we complained and the manager gave us some credit towards our bill and gift card to come back and try another chef.
We had a great experience, we were seated at our reservation time the staff was amazing. Food quality was excellent.
The Chef was great, the food was wonderful, but what was different than previous times is there was no one around to clear dirty dishes from our table throughout the intervals as normally they do, we found ourselves trying to move dirty dishes around, to make room for the dishes we were trying to eat from. It was difficult getting refills on our drinks - as the Chef does not tend to these services. Clearly, they must have laid off so many service people to where it's going to be a while before we want to go back there. In the restroom, another patron and myself compared (negative) notes about the service, as well as from her side - some disappointments in the food - while our food was great - no complaints there, but they need to get some of the better service people back in order to make the dining experience what it used to be - even after we had our dessert - the dirty dishes were all over - on the grill, anywhere we could find to move them - as there was no one coming to tend to the dirty dishes - and we were a large party - so there were many dishes to contend with.
Esperamos más de media hora para que nos den la mesa y más de 1 hora hasta que llegue el chef a la mesa
Physical distancing was in place for parties. Chef was very engaging and attentive. Waiter was nice and attentive. Clean, food was great. We will be back. Great place to celebrate a special occasion!
We waited over 1 hour for the cook to come in and start to cook. Our server was good. But I lost my appetite and had to take my food home becouse I got I got ok qith drinking soda for a hour. Smh
Benihana is always great for their food and entertainment. Tonight chef Bruce did an outstanding job with his technique and silly puns. The food was amazing. I have to give 5 stars for that. The only issue I had was the dress code, or lack there of. The signage on the door clearly states "Proper Dress Required". I would expect it to simply because of the type of venue. That being said, tonight was a ridiculous show of under dress. I get that it is a tourist area, but come on, take some pride in your appearance. Tonight was a show of women wearing bikini tops as "proper dress", outfits that were all but see through. People in slippers...actual bedroom slippers! When I brought this to management's attention, he of course agreed with me, but states that his hands are tied as corporate says to relax the code. WHY? When did it become ok for restaurants to not enforce dress codes simply because the don't want a confrontation or they are so desperate for business they will allow anyone in? God forbid you offend someone wearing a bikini top and slippers? When did Benihana take on the Walmart mentality. They are so much better than that. What about those customers that do pay attention to the dress code and dress appropriately. Those who dress up to come out and celebrate a special occasion. Why is it ok for those customers to be offended having to see this? Corporate really needs to work on their standards, or at least get some.
Nothing it was all bad. Used to be excellent. They have now gone on the cheap with sub par food, sauce and food. Don’t waste your time or money it is very expensive and what you get isn’t not great. As I said we used to go there at least 2 times for dinners and it was fabulous
Our chef Juan talked about wanting to quit to open a food truck instead of working there. Then said we needed to entertain ourselves with conversation because he wasn't going to do any of the showmanship that comes with the hibachi experience. It was terrible watching other tables laugh and enjoy themselves while we sat miserable and quiet.
We had a reservation at 7:30 animals sat on time and served our drinks and soup and salad while table on the other side was sat 10 minutes later and got their cook ate the food and left the restaurant before we started eating. I asked a waiter for the manager he never got the manager for me so I went upfront to talk to manager no apologies were given and was very arrogant and dismissed are complaints. I’ve been to Benihana on international drive down for my Spa And the service and communication there is always fantastic.
Poor bar service. Waitress rushed us to order. Chef was relatively inexperienced but very nice. Not the special dining we experience from Benihana over the years, especially considering the $400 tab for 4 + child. We won’t be going back.
We had a 6:30 reservation and didn’t get seated until 7:20. VERY disorganized! Food was good, but the chef was slow and not very entertaining. Also, the restaurant was so loud! We could hardly hear each other or the chef.
Had to wait almost 2 hrs past our reservation time. Not worth it and won’t be back!
