   5/5 – We celebrated a fantastic Mother’s Day at Benihana, Ontario! Celeste, our cook, was an incredible entertainer and storyteller, and Isaac provided excellent service with genuine care. Although we were seated an hour after our reservation, the vibrant energy, great food, and warm hospitality made the experience unforgettable. Thank you to the whole team for making our day so special!

   Overall, everything was good. Our waiter and cook was excellent! The only downside, the staff up front that was checking guests in, could use a little work. It seems maybe they overbooked for the time being. We had reservations and weren't seated until about 25-30 min later. I get it was busy since a lot of us seemed to be celebrating Mother's Day today. I think that the whole point of making reservations was expecting to be seated at that time. I've never worked in the food industry, so again, Idk how they organize when reservations are made. Other than that, we enjoyed it🙂

   We visit Benihana fairly often but sadly on the day before Mother’s Day, the place was crazy busy, which I’m fine with but they were VERY behind (about 30 minutes in seating us), and the chef was extremely rushed….cooking all foods at the same time, mixing meats and sides, delivering food out of order, and was very sparse with seasoning and unfortunately flavor. This is not the first time we’ve had this happen on a holiday so clearly they have a different operations policy for larger crowds…it’s just too bad it affects the overall experience, especially at the high prices of the food. We still love Benihana but might adjust our visits in the future.

   Our chef, Kevin, was awesome possum! He made SUCH tasty food and still managed to talk with us. I love the Koi fish pottery I got!!! Well done Benihana

   I usually love Benihana‘s. They’re special that they ran called power. Lunch was not enjoyable. Cooking it right in front of us. My food was very cold. This particular special the rice was cooked in the back when they brought it out it was cold.  I will probably not do the power lunch again. And pay the difference on a lunch menu versus the power lunch. I love Benihana‘s so I will give them another chance. Thanks.

    Came here for my dad’s birthday dinner, and have been for roughly 30 years. After last night, it would take some convincing for us to come back. The waitress was nice but constantly had to be reminded and stopped because we hadn’t received even the simplest things, such as our drinks (red wine, Coke, and Diet Coke). The first time she brought the wine, it was a white wine, not the red wine we had ordered. When asking for another round, we had to ask the manager since we hadn’t seen our waitress and mentioned it was requested 20 minutes prior. He grabbed it for us, only to find out it had been sitting at the edge of the bar the entire time. We had mentioned to the manager that maybe she had too many tables and he said we were actually her only table and she was assisting a larger table in the back of the restaurant… mind you, we were only 4 adults and 1 child. After 20ish minutes of not receiving our other drinks, we had to ask for them as well and they came flat. After we were done eating, we asked for our check and waited another 15 minutes just for that. Food wise, it was decent but there were a few things that needed to be improved. Overall, the cook over peppered everything, that’s all we could taste on our food. An hour later, I could still taste the pepper in my mouth. The salad they bring was spoiled and starting to turn brown and even the complimentary ice cream that comes with your meal was half melted by the time we received it. The restaurant as a whole just seems to have gone downhill, with even the restrooms being disgustingly dirty. If someone asked for a recommendation on a teppan restaurant in the area, this one definitely wouldn’t be the first one on my list.
