   Came here for my dad’s birthday dinner, and have been for roughly 30 years. After last night, it would take some convincing for us to come back. The waitress was nice but constantly had to be reminded and stopped because we hadn’t received even the simplest things, such as our drinks (red wine, Coke, and Diet Coke). The first time she brought the wine, it was a white wine, not the red wine we had ordered. When asking for another round, we had to ask the manager since we hadn’t seen our waitress and mentioned it was requested 20 minutes prior. He grabbed it for us, only to find out it had been sitting at the edge of the bar the entire time. We had mentioned to the manager that maybe she had too many tables and he said we were actually her only table and she was assisting a larger table in the back of the restaurant… mind you, we were only 4 adults and 1 child. After 20ish minutes of not receiving our other drinks, we had to ask for them as well and they came flat. After we were done eating, we asked for our check and waited another 15 minutes just for that. Food wise, it was decent but there were a few things that needed to be improved. Overall, the cook over peppered everything, that’s all we could taste on our food. An hour later, I could still taste the pepper in my mouth. The salad they bring was spoiled and starting to turn brown and even the complimentary ice cream that comes with your meal was half melted by the time we received it. The restaurant as a whole just seems to have gone downhill, with even the restrooms being disgustingly dirty. If someone asked for a recommendation on a teppan restaurant in the area, this one definitely wouldn’t be the first one on my list.

   Reservation was at 8:15. We didn’t get sat down till 8:45, and our food didn’t start getting cooked till 9:40. We were at the restaurant for over 2 hours and a few tables got served before us even though their reservations were AFTER ours.

   We use Benihana only as a special event restuarant, birthdays, anniversaries, etc., because I cannot justify the cost to go more regulary. For four the of us, myself, three grandsons, ages-17,14,06, the bill came to 196.00 with 20.00 tip, no alchohol, just food and three soft drinks for the kids. Cost aside, the food, service, and chef were impeccable. If it is any consolation, you get what you pay for.

   I understand that we were there for the Teppanyaki experience. But multiple chefs were banging the iron griddle with their utensils so loud, many guesses in different tables were either scared or annoyed. Moreover, the services somehow took forever for many tables, guesses were just starring each other in silence waiting for their checks. I understand certain pauses were necessary but some were just too long. From end of main course to ice cream and check, we waited 20 minutes.

   Arrived around 4:00pm to enjoy happy hour before dinner. Good and tasty cocktails. Edamame appetizer was good and plentiful. Bartender Sunni was nice, helpful and fun to talk to. Restaurant gets busy after 6:00pm. Atmosphere gets more lively. Lots of good food options for dinner. From my observations some of the chefs are more talkative and entertaining than others. The food was good. The wait staff was attentive, nice and friendly. Overall a good experience.

   Food was good, ambiance was good. Service was poor. Had to wait over an hour for a table even with a reservation. On a weekday!

   I wasn’t happy with my experience for dinner. The wait was long even with a reservation. It took the server 1 hour to take our order. The chef arrived 1:30 after drink order was taken and the server had accidentally turned the grill off so we waited another 15 mins before he got started. Not his fault but definitely a terrible experience!

   I was very disappointed because of the coupon was not user-friendly. It did not explain that I can only I did not see the date being only Monday through Thursday to redeem coupon. I just went to the website after I registered for my birthday and I picked a Sunday

    First off, Jeremy was our chef and he was fantastic! If it weren't for him, I'd give 1 (or 0 stars). He was so sweet and did a great job - our food was great. We really enjoyed our time with him. Everything else about the experience was not great. The place was dirty and stinky, the wait after we were seated was unacceptable, the bathrooms were atrocious (dirty and sticky floors, among other things), and our servers were very unprofessional and even made things awkward/uncomfortable. We went on my birthday to celebrate and the reservation was at 6. It took a bit for our drink orders to be taken, so we were ready to order our meals when that finally happened. We didn't see the server again for 15-20 mins and were being served the salads and soups before our waters finally came out, probably 30 mins after being seated. Maybe 10 mins after that, our other beverages finally came. Once Jeremy arrived, again, we enjoyed ourselves and had a good time. After he finished, we were still waiting for a dairy free fried rice that was being made in the back for one of our party, and my daughter never got her steamed rice with her meal. Our server did not come by for quite some time. Jeremy was done around 8 and our server finally came by 8:30 and apologized for the rice. We asked him for boxes and the ice cream. He still didn't come back. I ended up going to get help because we wanted to leave as it was getting late and we had young children with us. It wasn't until almost 9 that we finally got our ice cream, rice, and were able to pay and leave. It was very unpleasant waiting around like that and not being able to just leave when we wanted. The smell in there was awful and the service needs improvement. Would not recommend this location.
