Jeff who was our server was awesome! So engaging and recommended dishes to try. Wonderful service! Chef was great.

Roberto is a top notch chef always terrific.

Love coming to Benihana. Food is always cooked to perfection and to your specifications. I've never had a problem with my meal at Benihna.

Took over an hour to get a chef to cook our food, my tables meal’s should’ve been discounted

90 minutes after our reservation, we were still sitting at our table waiting for our chef.

We had a reservation at 12:30 and we did not have the cook arrive until 1:30! An hour later!!! We only have an hour for lunch so when the food finally was cooked we had to take it with us and not enjoy the food or the ambience as we were so rushed. The waitress kept apologizing bringing Edamame so by the time the food came we weren't even hungry. This is the second time this has happened. The first time I thought it was a one off but now that its twice in a row we will not be going back. We should be told that once you sit there is an hour wait for a cook.

Not exactly worth the money, for I have been here many times, and no more exciting and chefs are quite inconsistent, being run of luck. Some chefs are much better than the others.

The best part of Benihana is that you know what you are getting. All the sushi, seafood and meats are of the highest quality. The vegetables are fresh and several bags are large! The chefs are Very accommodating for any food issues you might have. Cocktails and beer are great with a huge variety. We have been to a lot is sushi pecs nd Benihana has very fresh sushi! The birthday club is a great promo $30 off your dinner birthday and free dessert!

Everything was great, our server was really nice. The only thing was it was my niece’s birthday and we let him know and all these tables around us got a picture and the happy birthday thing and we were overlooked. Would still go back though, maybe they were just busy

My daughter and I was there for lunch for her birthday, we had a wonderful time, food was great, company at our table was awesome. Can't wait to come again.

My only complaint is with open table. There have no option to identify children and there age. It can make a difference

Overall was a decent experience . We were seated late which didnt make sense since all of the party had been at the restaurant for awhile. Found out later they were down a chef so things were delayed. Food was great though . The chef did well under the pressure. We will be back because we have had better experiences here. We will chalk this one up to an unfortunate night being short staffed.

we waited over an hour for our cook to come to our table Once he was there he did not perform the usual tricks they do to help you enjoy your time and $ you are spending. He did a couple but they were totally rushed and not enjoyable at all. Our waiter, James, was great but would disappear for long periods of time. He had way too many tables to attend to. I visit Benihana at least 7-8 times a year (usually more) and the services just seems to not be up to par for the amount of money we are spending. We were there for my sons 5th birthday because he loves the show and tricks and what a disappointment for him that they chose this night to have such poor service.

Great place to celebrate a birthday. Very festive, delicious food and fun chef. The group photo at the end was the finishing touch!

This was my worst Benihana experience to date. The service was terrible and the chef not only made multiple orders wrong, but didn’t give me the extra fried rice I ordered. For some reason I had to ask 3 people to get regular soy sauce. The entire experience was a disaster. Not sure why anaheim is the best Benihana, but it is. I would expect newport to be the best, but I have had problems there almost 50% of the time.

Benihana's has not changed in the 18 years since my last visit. . It was just what we wanted for the birthday. Nothing more.

Trying to celebrate a special occasion with my family. Left early and did not eat here. Server seemed to not want to bother with us probably because we had 5 young children. Brought out big glasses of drinks with cups for us to pour into our own cups at table instead of having it prepared already. Also our youngest wanted another kind of drink and server’sresponse was what do you want me to do about it. It was uncomfortable so we left. Ended up at melting pot and service there was a very different and nice experience.

The restaurant was fun and interactive. We appreciated the entertainment value.
However, it wasn’t as clean as it should be. It was also quite warm and very noisy.

The food was HEAVILY salted and mounds of butter were used. That’s hard for anyone with high blood pressure and cholesterol issues.
The food presentation was poor.
The progression of the meal seemed off and I never ordered soup and salad but got them both.
None of the food was worth the bill of $130, which included only one alcoholic drink.
My husband and I and our grandson enjoyed ourselves but it has been 15 years since my previous visit and it will be another 15 years before I go back.

For the ice cream and we were still eating and we were constantly asked if we wanted her food boxed already, food is great though and chef was good.

Everything was excellent. We had a great time, even with the other people who were sitting in the same table.
The only thing I would recommend is for the chicken to be cut in smaller pieces 🤗.

Food was good. Service was good, except wasn’t offered the ice cream or green tea that came with our meal and was paid for.

We went for my daughters 23rd birthday. This is always her top pick for her birthday and as usual we enjoyed it very much. Our chef and wait staff were very friendly and efficient. Food was delicious as usual. Next time we will join the birthday club to receive a discount.

Simple night out to celebrate 68th birthday

This is one of my favorite places to eat when I am in the area.

We always enjoy Benihana ang go a number of times each year. This visit was on Easter. There was a limited menu and our cook didn’t come to our table until 45 minutes after we sat down.

A family favorite! Where we go for all our special occasions. So much fun for all and great food.

Everything was great. We shared a table with another group that was rather difficult, but our staff was completely unphased😂☺️

Our chef, Jose, was fantastic! He had a such a great sense of humor and was amazing with the kids in our party. He kept us laughing and entertained the entire time. Please let him know how appreciative we are of him. He truly was the entire experience! :)

We took friends from Canada, London and Kentucky. They had not been to Benihana. We had a wonderful chef and nice server. The food was better at this Benihana then the one in Puente Hills.

Jeremy was the best cook we ever had. He was laid back and was easy to talk to. For the first time ever we had enough room to breathe. We are usually packed in like sardines and it’s awful. We enjoyed ourselves, the good, our server, and our cook. It was by far our best visit. Like 80% better than any other.
