    As u would expect it is a factory. The food is excellent- the price is high - but is there is not a lot of hibachi style restaurants left - so if you are looking for “ this style food “ it is worth the money because you are guaranteed good food!!!

    Fun place to eat when in NYC, never disappoints, with quality meat and fish. Not a romantic dining spot, but if you mix with your fellow guests, you'll enjoy it.

    I had a great experience at Benihana! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive.     Our chef forgot sesame seeds on teriyaki beef, he mixed the onion in oil from volcano trick into our zucchini onion veggie, and chicken fried rice had hardly any chicken in it and extra bowl of rice on top of the tray of rice for fried rice and we only had a table of 6. Kids corn was so skimpy and too much soy sauce, can tell all the food was getting skimped. And chef rushed his cooking. Mushroom became too charred from the grill after all the beef cooked. You could tell chef was rushing. I would never go to that NY location again.

    We were received promptly and treated respectfully at the front door and by our servers and chef. The chef was very positive, skilled and talented. The atmosphere was friendly, warm and cozy. It seemed superfluous that there were two check in stations and experienced a bit of confusion at the second check in station since the staff there claimed they couldn't find my name and info. Luckily there was a staff member who was familiar with the check in system and smoothly navigated through and cleared up the confusion. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would revisit and recommend to anyone as a family establishment that can be enjoyed by all ages and people.
