There is no show anymore. It’s the quietest Benihana I’ve ever been to. The chefs just cook quietly to themselves. The food is average at best. For the price it was very disappointing.

I frequent this location and can tell you this time it was the worst. We checked in for our reservation, the restaurant made us squeeze into a table that was meant for 8 people, but they chose to put 10 people at this table. We sat down at 6:45 and did not receive a chef until 8:15. After asking the server for an ETA on the chef and the server assuring us we were next, we sat and watched countless tables get service before our table. At this point we went to speak to a manager, one of the other people at the table went to speak to a different manager and yet we continued to sit and wait with no resolve. Eventually a manager brought us free dumplings to make up for the long wait, which was appreciated, but did not compensate for the unnecessary wait. We went into Benihana looking forward to our meal and all we received was countless excuses and poor customer service. It was amazing to me how we saw 5 managers at this location and the customer service level was atrocious. I think I will have to try out the Miramar location and see how it fairs in comparison as the Miami Beach location’s service has depleted exponentially.

The restaurant is brand new and beautiful! We were able to watch dolphins while awaiting our table. Chef Wo did an amazing job with the food and entertained the entire table while doing so.

I went to Benihana to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and since we were on a budget, we decided to try out their Happy Hour menu — and wow, it did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The coconut mojito was refreshing and perfectly balanced, and the chicken wings were packed with flavor — I tried every flavor and loved them all! The crunchy shrimp was a standout — so crispy and tasty. The atmosphere was great, and the service made the experience even better. I definitely recommend this location, especially if you’re looking for quality food and drinks at a great value during Happy Hour!

I loved the full experience from the beginning until the end. The host were very nice and the waiter Ashley was also very welcoming. The chef was funny so made the whole experience even better! Overall, had a great time and a happy belly. ◡̈

Horribly slow and indifferent service.. People were going to the bar to get drinks themselves. Chef experience was anything but entertaining - what as happened? This used to be an institution of excellence?

Reservation at 8pm. Was sat and no one said hello, brought us water, took an order or even acknowledged us before 8:40pm. I had to go get the manager. On top of that, a server brought out bowls on the same tray with dirty dishes from other tables. My girl was disgusted and we left. We went to the Coral Gables location. Completely different experience.
