They treated my Dad like a king for his birthday; which was exactly what I was hoping for. Thank you so much!!!!!
I had a reservation for 8:00pm. Arrived at 7:45, walked straight to the front/hostess desk and stood there looking at the employees hoping I’d get greeted or a “hello”, “hi” but not there was nothing. So I decided to say “Hello, I have a reservation at 8:00.” The hostess or whoever she was said ok, you’re checked in. I understand working under high stress but this was crap service. I don’t recommend anyone going to spend $25-$40 on a plate here with the front end staff showing the obvious stress.
Waiting over an hour for food to start but over all good experience
The waiter sucked! He dropped my card on the grill, never apologized. Did not see him after he took the order.
The food and overall experience was good. Our chef was great. However the service is extremely slow. We had reservations for 7:00 (arrived early) and didn't get seated until 7:30. After we were seated it took a very long time for our server to come to our table. He took our drink order and was gone forever until he came back with our drinks. It ended up being almost a two and a half hour experience. They need to fix the slow service in order for the experience to be worth the high prices.
We’ve been to Benihana on numerous occasions and had a very good experience, but this was not one of those times. We had a reservation (an early 5:30 one at that so the restaurant was not yet busy), yet waited 1/2 hour to be seated. Once seated, it was 45 more minutes before our chef joined the table. The chef didn’t do all the parts of the “cooking show” that you typically see at Benihana, and seemed more intent on just getting the food cooked and getting out than the showmanship aspect of it. Additionally, he heavily doused the chicken fried rice in soy sauce, yet put no soy sauce on the vegetables. They forgot the white rice for my two children, and when I requested it, they brought out one single bowl for them to share. I’ve never had a bad experience at Benihana before, but if this had been my first time, I wouldn’t go back.
Benihana is my favorite treat, the MoA & St Louis Park locations are great but time and time again I am disappointed with the Maple Grove location. Slow service, slow everything. I've talked to other Benihana fans and they have the same review
Brooke the manager was EXTREMELY accommodating....she went above and beyond!
It was a great experience, we love the food however the wait time was very long, I have 2 kids and we were there for an hour before we got our food. Felt a little rush once we go our food...
Great service! It was a fun place to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great experience. I hate seafood, but the shrimp was phenomenal!
Our chef Matt was great and the food was maybe the best I have had here in a while. It was a great lunch.
Food was great - Dynomite and Rosen were excellent as our server and chef. Very entertaining!
First of all, We love Benihana’s. Unfortunately our past visit on February 16, 2018 was extremely unpleasant. Our server was nice and tried to make the situation better but he couldn’t. We were made to sit under an open vent even when the air outside was -3 degrees. Our chef was mediocre at best - very messy and our food was flying everywhere. The cold air caused our feed to be cold before we could eat it and we had to spend our entire dinner with coats on. Very disappointed. I won’t be back.
Had fun. The cool didn't do a lot though. Couple of kids at our table not ours loved the fire, but that's all he did. Could've done more with the eggs etc...
