Benihana - Manhasset, NY

The food was extremely bland and poorly cooked. Even when we asked our Chef if he could add extra garlic butter, he did not. Some of our shrimp didn’t seem to be cooked all the way and they were whole, when usually they’re cut. Our waitress was very rude, not very accommodating and we always had to look for her. I frequent Benihana quite often, it’s one of my favorite restaurants but I will not be returning to this location. During my past three visits I’ve noticed the morale of this Benihana is quickly dying.

The food was nasty , not seasoned well. They are lacking in the cleanliness department (we had to ask for clean plates & for the chef to properly clean the grill). It’s covid people do better!

Very well organized and properly observing social distancing. As always, food is great.

Chef Chris was very entertaining and a great cook. The food was delicious. Overall me and my family had a great time.

Wasn’t the best overall quality taste overall.There better places out there,that do the same style of food for a person price and taste.Wouldn’t go back there.

Love our day here ! The staff were Very nice our chef was very welcoming and entertaining. They even gave us a picture for free and ice cream since we was celebrating a birthday. It was a great experience! I would recommend to family and friends.

It was my sister’s birthday so they sung happy birthday and happy birthday in japanese which was very cool.

Been to this location 4 times but this time our server did pay us no mind at all. She disappeared for the whole time we were there until the very end when she decided to get us new drinks. Then finally came back 15 mins later to give us the check. In which she lied and told us that their is and automatic gratuity on our check of 18% eventhough we had less people than needed to have automatic gratuity.

I have never been to any Benihana's, so I choose this location to celebrate my 41 st birthday. My experience was great! They provided great service from the waitress to the chef. There was big mishape with my salad so they us a $47 reduction on our bill. Overall its a great location,my friends and I enjoyed ourselves. I will definitely return.

We visited for my daughter’s birthday. My daughter loved it, but we thought the service was a bit off, although our waitress was very sweet. It seemed like there simply was not enough waitstaff, even though the restaurant was maybe 50-60% full at most. It was difficult to get the waitress’s attention, even to have a refill of water, etc. Most of our table ordered the hibachi meat, and we each found that the meat was fatty, which I have not experienced before on previous visits. We thus wondered if a cheaper cut of meat may now be used or whether the kitchen staff did not properly prepare the meat for the hibachi chef. Also, the ladies room was a mess - dirty, sticky, broken hand towel machine.

First time there and we loved it.. its was my sons Bday and it was a nice surprise to have been taken a picture of us and instantly have it printed up as a gift for us.

Food got cold while waiting for plates to be filled.
Food very greasy. Too much butter and oil.
Drink refills not offered.
Slow to remove finished plates and clean table.
Un clean facility.
Lack of welcome hospitality

Menu prices do not reflect value.
Overall experience lacking and disappointing.
Most likely not to return. Definitely will not recommend.

Chef was attentive and social distancing guidelines were met. However, this particular restaurant was extremely noisy due to the number of families with small children.

Small portions not worth the price. Place could use update.

It was great- We sat next to a baby. But that’s not the restaurant’s fault. The food was good the place was not overly crowded

well i must say going back go benihana in manhasset was great. the reason for my three stars was: i was there celebrating my birthday. i noticed everyone around us celebrated a few birthdays - sang happy birthday and was given a cupcake or something with a candle. at the end or our meal we waited and waited and no one came over and sang happy birthday. i had given my $30 certificate but still no one came over .. next thing i knew we were handed the bill.. it was disappointing.. the food was great and cooked to perfection... all the hostess and staff were extremely nice.

A nice outing for Mother’s Day. Which my lady loves by the way

It was a holiday so it was a little louder than normal but that was understandable due to the day we chose to go. That did not take away from anything else, in all honesty. This is the second time we have been and the food was fantastic, both in quality and quantity. The staff was very personable and accomodating! We will absolutely be back.

Grandmas Mother’s Day

It was our grandmas 1st time & my 9 yews son 1st time experience. All the other table’s chief were more entertaining, our was not. The onion volcano failed, there was not much after that. Food was good , lobster & shrimp cooked perfectly. My prefer my Son salmon with Avocado tartar which didn’t look fresh, basically Avocado puréed. It look like it was made yesterday. Salmon piece was small but cook well. He enjoyed it.

We had a birthday party for my 11 year old daughter and the servers were very attentive, food delicious.
It is a fun lively place to go for a celebration.

You not only get a wonderful meal, but you get a great show by the chef!

Everything was good but to charge $13 for a vodka and club soda was ridiculous.

We went back to Benihana after a year of pandemic. I was pleased to see social distance rules are followed. The menu is facilitated electronically and the food as always is delicious!! We got a great chef and our waitress was very attentive and great. We will be back!

I enjoy going to Benihana's it's actually one of my favorite restaurants but this particular location was by far the WORSTTTTTT one I've ever been to. From the rude customer service to the cold tasteless food and the level of unprofessionalism is out of this world. I would not recommend this particular location to anyone at anytime ever.

Took my mother out for Mother’s Day and she enjoyed every minute of it. Our chef took into account my shellfish allergy and made sure I got my food prepared first so there wouldn’t be any cross contamination. Can’t wait to return!

Good food, just a little salty for my personal taste average prices

Great food and experience, Kids had a blast. Sauces are outstanding and who doesn't love an onion volcano.
