They don’t have yum yum sauce. Our food was so-so. Not well seasoned. They are making smaller and smaller portions. No longer get mushrooms. Less onions and zucchini ( which are so cheap so why not get a full serving). The fried rice was not a full bowl. We had to ask for our steamed rice and it didn’t come time the end of cooking. Had to ask For the ice cream that came with entree. I felt like I was being buckle and dines all night! My drink from the bar was good!

We used to love Benihana quite a bit. Lombard is just gotten way downhill. They used to bring out your salad first wait till almost done then bring out the soup and then by then the chef would show up now they bring everything all at once and then you sit there for 30 to 40 minutes waiting for a chef to become available And the chefs just started as skilled as they used to be. They’re just phoning it in and they look bored out of their mind. If Benihana’s not gonna keep quality control, then why on earth are people going to pay very high prices for entertainment and not get entertained? I hope they are in big trouble. If this is the best they can do.

Our visit was typical of Benihana. I didn’t care to be seated in the back of the restaurant and the floor was very nasty I didn’t pay attention initially. Our cook was great I think his name was Andrew. He listened to our request and executed perfectly. Our waiter would disappear for long length of times which made our visit a little troublesome. Prices have increased significantly since my last visit. I would want to see s more clean area and more food for the increase such as more pieces for the appetizer or an alternative to the salad option that I don’t care for.

The food was good overall but you have to pay extra for noodles and fried rice which doesn’t make any sense. We tried it for the appearance but will not be going back. Chi Tung will be our go to going forward.

They need to work on rushing people while they are eating, they also need to work on portion sizes for the amount of money your paying. I got shrimp and chicken and got two shrimp cut in half

There was a family of 6 already seated when we arrived at our table. We all waited at least 15 minutes before a server arrived to take drink/dinner orders. We waited another 10-15 minutes before the drinks appeared, and only for the family who, granted, ordered more than 1 drink per person - a lot for one tray. Surely our drinks (2 Spiced Cranberry Mojitos) would follow. We waited at least 10 more minutes and had to flag the server down to ask for them. When we finally got them they tasted like lemonade and were pink, not red - not a hint of cranberry. We’ve had them before, minus the garnish a totally different drink. Considered sending them back but we’re already 45 minutes in, would we ever get replacements? We also had to flag the server down to get steamed rice that we ordered. 2 stars for her. The chef was wonderful and the food cooked to perfection, 5 stars for him. The ambience was awful, when did Benihana become Chuck E Cheese? 2 tables directly behind us was a party for a child, many extremely loud infant to 5 year olds not controlled by parents at all. I understand that’s not the restaurants fault, but it made for a thoroughly unpleasant experience. We’ve been celebrating birthdays at Benihana for at least 20 years, sadly that was undoubtedly our last time.

First time here in many years. Made reservations over a week earlier. Surprised that my party of 4 was seated at a table with 2 other groups of 2 for total of 8 around table. This was OK, as both other groups were very friendly, but would have been nice to know ahead of time that we would have been part of a larger group.

We went here a few years ago and enjoyed it. I realize things never stay the same but for the price, I don't think the food was worth it. Just between 4 of us, it was about $250. I got Hibachi Shrimp with white rice and water, 2 got the noodle meals, 1 got hibachi steak. The other 3 people did get drinks, tea and an alcoholic drink and the chicken fried rice. We have been out for steaks before and never spent this much. The table next to us was very loud but there is not that much you can do about that.

We had a reservation for 8:30 PM but got there a little early. They had enough seating for us. We were seated at a quiet table in the back as it was a date night. The service was great and I enjoyed the chef doing hi antics and showing off his cooking skills. The food was delicious! Everything was cooked to our preference and we really stuffed ourselves. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Losing its touch - very expensive, chef was mediocre. Ambiance was poor and dull. Not as clean and high quality as in previous years. Very over priced - likely our last time at Beni, sadly.

Chef didn’t do a good job unfortunately. Food was a way way way too salty and I usually like salt. Scallops and filet mignon were overcooked as well. Had difficulty getting server to come by the entire night - not very happy with waitress out chef. I’ve gone to the Schaumburg location numerous times and never had as many issues as I did at this Lombard location.
