Welcome to Benihana and a dining experience unlike any other! Our guests are seated at communal tables in groups, where your personal chef will perform the ancient art of Teppanyaki. Watch as we slice and dice, preparing a meal that will dazzle your eyes as well taste buds, whether you choose mouth-watering steak, tender chicken or succulent seafood. Benihana Dearborn is located near Fairlane Plaza, 1 ½ miles from the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center and 1 mile from the University of Michigan – Dearborn.
Join us in our bar and lounge for Happy Hour, Monday through Thursday from 5–7 p.m. and Friday from 4–7 p.m. We offer complimentary valet parking for dinner nightly. An 18% service charge is added to all guest checks for parties of eight or more.

I was soooo disappointed this time for my birthday meal. Didn't want to see my ID, never got a happy birthday. We had a reservation and was seated 15 minutes late. After seated for 10 minutes finally got our drink orders. Kid at our table was vegetarian so his was cooked first, everything separate, girls at the end of our table needed extra this, none of that,. we like to eat our meal once it's all on our plate and our veges were so cold didn't even want to touch them by the time we got our main entrée. Service was slow, food sub par this time compared to previous time we were there. Selection of vegetables and amount given was very small. Never coming again and I'm going to tell family and friends to stay away.
We arrived early, we were seated after our booking time by 10 to 15 minutes; not an issue.
The service was slow. After the food and drink order was taken, the drinks were not brought our in a timely manner, after 20 minutes they had not be brought out to the table, one of my colleagues had to ask for them and then they were brougnt out. Then there was a further delay before the food came out as our inital chef went home and we had a different one.
The food was good we we got it.
The worst service ever at at BENIHANA. Slow meal service and not accommodating. Poor manager. I️ wouldn’t even call him a manger. I️ am very disappointed. I️ have been coming to Kyoto and BENIHANA for over 30 years on a regular basis. First time I’ve been disappointed. That’s was the Dearborn location.
I haven't been to Benihana's in awhile, my wife and daughter has never been so we decided to go. We were seated with another group of 3 with one having a birthday. Everything was going great until half way through the meal when the group we were seated with ordered some olives, they were told by one employee that they will not be getting anymore olives, the group at this time told the employee they would pay for them, but they were told they would not be getting any. From this moment on the evening went south over some 5 dollar olives. We spent well over 200 dollars.... plus the other group's bill. poor service will not be going back.

Our chef burned our chicken and still served it to us
And usually when they make the fried rice , when they serve the rice they usually pass out the leftovers for the guest
Instead he took it upon hisself too make his self a bowl on the side .
It was very bizarre!
Manager on shift very unprofessional and embarrassing requested me and my guest move after chef arrived at the table totally humiliating!!!!! Also somehow charged me 30 dollars for two drinks love the food hospitality and manager HORRIBLE AND EMBARASSING!!!! I had no problem with them taking my 110 or 115 dollars extremely upset
Service was slowwwwwww. We asked who our chef was 30 mins into being seated and the server did not know because one was not assigned yet. Our meal did not start cooking until 1hr and 10mins after we were seated, this was also at lunch time. The cook was short on sauce cups and he reached over to the dirty table behind him and scoped out two “clean” ones and used that for sauce. Then of course, immediately after our cook left the server came over with boxes. Had to rush to eat my food. Won’t be coming back to this location.
We love Benihana and we’re really excited to spend NYE having a fun, family meal. Unfortunately - outside of the food, when it finally arrived - this was probably the single worst dining experience I’ve ever had.
From waiting almost 45-minutes after our reservation to be seated, to watching the staff done and snack in front of starving (waiting) customers, it felt like a complete free-for-all with no management leadership whatsoever.
We also experienced the wait staff having arguments about who would “get stuck” waiting our table, since the late seating meant someone staying past their time. And these areguments happend right next to our table, and with what appeared to be the manager watching. I finally had to ask them to move the conversation somewhere else before it completely ruined my family’s night. It also was very awkward that the restaurant employs an armed security guard (in a nice neighborhood) who paces the restaurant floor with a holstered pistol exposed.
Luckily the food was good once we ate. But overall, this was one of the least comfortable or enjoyable experiences I’ve ever had dining out.
The food was ok but the service was really slow this night. Pop and lemonade machine line was broke so it took forever to get drinks it took forever to get a cook and than we had food but no sauces till the end because no one brought him the sauce bowls. Than we got sauces and began to eat and felt rushed because they immediatley want to box your food. They have gotten really skimpy on the butter as well. I also do not like how they put all of one type of food together than seperate it out I got less of my steak than someone else at my table but paid the same.
