Welcome to Benihana and a dining experience unlike any other! Our guests are seated at communal tables in groups, where your personal chef will perform the ancient art of Teppanyaki. Watch as we slice and dice, preparing a meal that will dazzle your eyes as well taste buds, whether you choose mouth-watering steak, tender chicken or succulent seafood. Benihana Dearborn is located near Fairlane Plaza, 1 ½ miles from the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center and 1 mile from the University of Michigan – Dearborn.
Join us in our bar and lounge for Happy Hour, Monday through Thursday from 5–7 p.m. and Friday from 4–7 p.m. We offer complimentary valet parking for dinner nightly. An 18% service charge is added to all guest checks for parties of eight or more.

The chef was not great. He did not put the teriyaki sauce on my teriyaki chicken and was very stingy about how much he gave me. He gave me the bottle and then when he thought I used too much tried to take it, but realized the manager was standing near and stopped himself. This location has gone down hill over the years.
Took more than an hour for our chef to start cooking for us, after our reservation time. Our chef was nice and trying to be amiable despite the delay. Our waitress was not in a mood to be working. She said everyone was against her. We asked if the staff could come sing happy birthday to our niece, and she said “let me see if they’ll sing for you, they’re not happy with me”. Nobody came to sing happy birthday. This was the number one reason, we came to Benihana. We asked her if we could get containers for our left over sauce? Never got them.
Some of the worst service we have ever had at a Benihana, and we've been to a lot. The chef was ill-prepared, didn't know whose food went to whom, gave us a tiny amount of sauce b/c he 'ran out', got terryaki off another table and through it on the chicken right before putting it on the plate and took chicken (terryaki) off my brother in law's plate to give my husband more even though he didn't order terryaki. They wouldn't give my husband a large Kirin b/c large beers are "only happy hour drinks". Every other Benihana we can get large beers. Just weird vibes all around, waitress told us no one liked the chef, the manger was supposed to come talk to us, but never did and couldn't be found by anyone when we were leaving.
I made reservation a week ahead of time online it was not honor they could not find my name they set me at a table where a man hada sea food allergy and he cough all night. the cook cooked my food all wrong because this man had the allergy could not take the smells of it my mine problem was the cook.
Today's dinner was superb! Everything about the experience went well. Our server "Kelvin" was attentive and thorough. Our cook "Ken" was engaging and personable. The food he prepared was absolutely the best me and my family had ever eaten at Benihana. Drinks and beverages were delivered timely as well as the appetizers. Our table was comfortable enough to accommodate the two families seated with adequate space for plates and glassware. My overall dining experience was and easy five stars and a very nice way to end oue Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Our Chef, Ken, was the best chef we have ever had. He cared about your experience and wanted to make sure the food you ate was to your standards and then some. Our waiter however sucked! He acted like it was an inconvenience to be here and do his job. My family took me out for my birthday and he didn’t even seem to care. There was another lady at our table who was celebrating her birthday too. Neither of us were even offered the ice cream that we get for our birthdays, we were not sung to. He also didn’t even have the grill turned on so we had to wait for 20minutes for the flattop to be hot enough to safely cook our food. I had to constantly track him down and ask for things. Honestly if it weren’t for KEN, the night really would have been terrible.
We waited almost an hour for the chef to come out. We sat down at 7:00 pm and left at 10:00 pm. The food was just ok. We n=did sit with some really nice people that we became friends with. It's a good place for birthdays. We do however, always get sick afterward, and this time we did too.
The visit was absolutely HORRIBLE the manager harvie has absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS at all the cook was great even though he was called In early cause they was under staffed I left a comment the day and yet no one called me WILL NEVER COME VISIT DEARBORN LOCATION AGAIN!!!!!!
I love Benihana. Our chef was amazing and very lively. It was my fiance's first time going, so I was happy he enjoyed the food! Normally who ever waits on our table is awesome, upbeat and friendly, but this time the waitress had an abrasive attitude, didn't check on us much, and we barely ate any of our food before she handed the bills to everyone. Besides that, it was great as usual and I love coming!
I've been blessed not to sit at a Chef's Table with rude people, I do not like a crowded table but everytime I will be shoulder-to-shoulder, my daughter have health issues and she asked not to have a crowded table,I was cold first table by the door, Everything was fine my 4yr old granddaughter was waiting for her Happy Birthday song they will sing it at others table and she will sing it with them and say it's my birthday to so everyone at our table was waiting but had to leave,my daughter Charmayne and granddaughter Lyric Lee in September.
