   We had a pretty nice size group visit the restaurant all for the first time and we all left with a very negative impression. Our service was horrible. There were two tables seated after ours and they both had their soup and salad before us. One lady in our group was dissatisfied with her meal and the waiter was combative with her. He had bad manners and because of this bad first impression and bad service most of us will NEVER return. The last lady to pay, paid with cash and the server kept the amount of money that he wanted to. He was a thief, taking advantage of a customer.

   Since my last visit the service was ok. The chef was messy. The food wasn't worth it. Forgot our anniversary and the boys Birthday sitting at the table. My first visit outstanding back in 1988. My last visit will be yesterday.

   Reservation was for 7:30 for two. Was not seated until 8:15. They brought out our soups and salads but the chef didn’t get to the table and start cooking until 8:45. Didn’t leave until 10. Food was good though!

   Totally disorganized!!! They finally seated us 40 minutes past our reservation time. We saw other patrons waiting more than 75 minutes past their reservation time. Food was fine - exactly what you come to expect from Benihana. The service staff was very nice and friendly. The entire meal took 2 hours in addition to the 40 minute wait!

   Excellent food & variety. Chef, Beiter, was fantastic. His cooking & performance including friendliness, courteous, professional was above & beond. Wonderful experience. Our waiter, Peter, was very good, attentive, friendly & courteous. The only issue was at the host station. Arrived & checked in. Only 2 parties in area. The host was very abrupt, abrasive & unwelcoming. Asked me to wait outside. I actually had to ask if he was going outside to notify us when table was ready. We went back inside after watching multiple people enter after us. Even then 3 parties were seated before us. My son asked why as our reservations for 6 & party that arrived after us with 6:30 reservations were sat before us. Felt very unwelcomed & discriminated against. Have been eating at Benihana in South Florida since 1975. Will have to reconsider eating at this location in future.

    Benihana - Dallas was always one of my favorite hibachi grill restaurants. The food taste and the chef's performance certainly did not disappoint. The Benihana - Dallas restaurant looks old and tired. The outside koi pond looked green and full of algae. The entry lobby had two portable AC units that looked tacky. The men's bathroom could use a facelift. The server and I forgot the green tea and ice cream that were part of the 6-course meal I ordered. Yes, I would recommend Benihana - Dallas because the food was delicious.

    Our reservation was for 7:30, and waited about 30 minutes to be seated after that. Once seated, it took a while to get drinks and orders in. We were notified of staff shortage after checking in. Once our hibachi started, we had a great experience and the food was wonderful!

    We waited over two hours to even get seated. Keep in mind we made reservations so we didn’t just show up.1st the hosts said he called our name . He never did we’re waiting the whole time next to the hosts, I’m sure 1out of our 5 party would have heard him . Then sat down had to wait another hour . We finally had to go to the manager she said she would give us a discount which was 25% basically enough to cover a tip. We came for our son’s graduation . This has happened twice in the last 6months at this location

    Went to celebrate grandsons Birthday. Our dinner was great. Our chef was very entertaining . Service was lacking. Drinks were weren’t refilled wasn’t offered dessert. Overall great experience. Would definitely go again.

    If I could give this no stars I would! Let me start by saying, we made reservations, and did not get back to sit down until 20 minutes after our reservations! Once we were seated, it took about 10 minutes for someone to come and take our drink orders, because it was taking so long to even get service we went ahead and ordered sushi rolls. Our sushi rolls came out and our drinks had not mind you we did not order any bar drinks. We ordered sodas and waters. 40 minutes into sitting with no service no drinks and sushi rolls have already been ate our drinks come in. We then proceeded to tell the waiter that we are done waiting and we want to leave. We will pay for the drinks even though we are just receiving them and pay for the sushi rolls, however the service sucked and we were over it we had kids with us and we were hungry. The guy then throws a fit and tries to fight my husband and father-in-law everything about this place is disgusting. The service the atmosphere. It was hot and sticky in there and the sushi rolls were disgusting. I highly recommend do not go there.

    Taking into consideration the busy time frame we dinned in, our waiter was not very attentive, our cook did not interact as well as previous experiences. But over all I would still return , one of my fav places to dine in a special occasion.

    If you are looking for the Benihana Fine Dining then the Dallas Banner location is not it. Jesus, Chef changed the classic Fried Rice that Benihana is famous for. He used so much black pepper that it was no longer the flavor of their famous fried rice. He also burned the shrimp black. Chef's are no longer consistent with the recipe that Benihana is famous for. Sadly, the training and staff need an overhall.

    We visited the Benihana on Banner Drive for Mother’s Day. Our reservation was for 2:15 and we were seated s few minutes after our entire party arrived. It was open table so we were seated with a family of 3. Our table was in a room with another table that had a full party. The scenery was nice, the service was good and the food was excellent. My party ordered entrees including California sushi rolls along with Spicy chili rolls. I didn’t order an entree but only sushi and shrimp fried rice but our waiter was kind enough to gift me with the full entree experience and at brought me bday ice cream and the waitstaff serenaded me with a happy birthday song because it was also my bday. Our experience was grand and we have zero complaints. My only suggestion is to play a little music in the background. It’s a little dead if you’re not with a fun group. Luckily our crew had fun but I’d suggest nice music to complete the mood.

    I was at the end of the table so naturally i got the smallest skimpiest portions. My steamed rice came about 25 minutes after everyone’s (I had to ask for it). The food tasted subpar honestly. The a/c wasn’t working in the restaurant. $250 for this garbage wish I could turn back time and not have gone. Waste of my time and money. Definitely the last time I sit foot in that embarrassing establishment.
